    Perfect timing on this video! Just had an all natural pork belly sent to me by Hill Meat Company out of Pendleton, Oregon and now I know what I'm doing with part of it! Love the recipe and your style of videos

      Thanks a lot! Yeah pork belly is so versatile. With this small slab I made a bunch of these with still leftovers which I cured and smoked yesterday. Best BLT sandwich in a while!

    Outstanding, I smoked these and they turned out perfect. Nice and crispy on the outside and really tender on the inside. The fat rendered out really well. Remember to put them on fat side up.

    May I ask what is in the hydrating spray? The link to this recipe is not working unfortunately. I'm a northern newbie 🍁 at smoking meat, and would like to try this out!
    Also, do you soak your skewers in water before using them, so they don't burn?

    I cured and smoked a belly last week. with your recipe and maple sirup. it was good but ended up tasting more like ham than canadian bacon. do you have any tips for my next one ? tyvm ! :)

    • @PostalBarbecue
      @PostalBarbecue  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Canadian bacon is essentially ham from a different cut. Ham comes from the hind legs Canadian bacon from the loin. Both lean. Take a look at the streaky bacon recipe on the channel for your next cook. I just made it this week. Sooo delish.

    How was the overall tenderness with this method? They looked a bit tough on the taste test.

    • @PostalBarbecue
      @PostalBarbecue  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I didn’t take them as far as pork belly burnt ends 195 made them tender without being super tender like PBBE. That touch of bite is my preference on these.
