Manual cannons weren't covered too much in the video, so I'll chip in some advice for people who wanna use them in multiplayer; while ballistae and machine cannons do much more DPS to single targets, cannons are more suited for groups of monsters bunched together. They do fixed splash damage regardless of monsters' hitzones, the piercing shot will naturally deal many hits as it travels through the packs, and the thunder shot is a huge explosion that can inflict Thunderblight on multiple monsters at once, which makes getting KOs easier for everybody else, and is also primarily how you want to grind out the "Inflict Elemental Blights" objective. Also, piercing and thunder shots can be charged by holding the button. I see too many people just tap shot them and achieve nothing. The thunder shot takes a few seconds to get all the way to max charge, but you can hold the Guard for free while charging either shot, so you can tank attacks without dropping them.

Ruhikan forgot some things. After the second horde set up the second area (use fast travel). Leveling up the stronghold is key to winning do everything that gives you stronghold exp (repel everything you see. Do every side quest.) stunning mons and inflicting stuff also gives exp. you really want to get the s+ finish because that gives very good rewards. If you got any more questions ask me (for example about the horde materials and such)
Under the assumption you're not looking through the other comments of this video , I'll copy-paste my own comment here: I didn't hear Ruri talk about it much but cannons are extremely useful in multiplayer for dps and dealing damage to condensed groups of monsters. You can also hold the button for the x and y attacks to charge them up for a stronger attack for a lot more damage but you risk taking a hit, so be careful. Something really useful I think rurikhan missed is that you can use flash bombs and traps in the area as an extra source of crowd control. Flash bombs especially are useful for stopping gate crashers. Don't forget you can also throw the elemental barrel bombs at the ground from the air.
I always enjoyed every single Rampage I've done. The chaotic nature of it, the siege weaponry, the counter signal, the fucking music holy jesus mother of god the MUSIC. I have just always found the Rampage a very fun and enjoyable activity even though I have done all of them solo so far. The Apexes are also a very fun time and are very intense to solo. I know some won't like Rampage but goddamn I love it to death.
The only thing annoying me about apex monsters is that they just instantly get through the first area, no matter how well you defended it before. Makes everything beforehand feel kinda wasted
@@basst7366 It is a bit disappointing, _but_ you do get: -Bonuses to the Stronghold Level for defending at the first area for as long as possible -The chance to hit the Apex with extra Splitting Wyvernshots, Dragonators, a barrage of machine cannon fire, etc
Definitely better than the defend quests in MH World, recharging a cannon a million times to shoot volcano giant. I think rampage is a nice change of pace from quick multiplayer hunts
This was very helpful! I had no idea what the counter signal did, and didn’t realize how important it was to stop the gate crashers over other monsters. I still haven’t failed a rampage but I was unable to kill the apex arzuros in solo
After playing a few of these, it was really nice to have all the mechanics broken down like this. I really enjoy the spectacle of it all and I agree that it is an entertaining game mode in solo but really shines in multiplayer.
Thanks for the guide! Was super intimated after the 1st rampage. Feel a lot better about going into multiple player now. Used to watch you back in the squadron days. Glad to see you making great MH content still.
Thank you for the tips. As a new player to the franchise these are helpful. I find the rampages a nice change of pace whenever I get exhausted from grinding monster parts
If you pay attention to firing arcs, cannon can hit flying monsters, just be aware that it has a lower fire rate which can make it difficult if you need to shoot two of them, but then again, balista will also struggle with that since it has less ammo for its knockout shots.
Just starting to watch this but thank you so much for this! I really hate soloing rampage but I'm hoping collecting useful tips can help. I think it was really not clicking for me by myself but playing with my partner is a lot better because we can tell each other what's going on and where to go. I also had no idea what to do with some things like the counter signal, and didn't know when is appropriate to use normal weapons, so this is extremely helpful 👍🏻
Adding now that I finished the video. There's lots of tips here I honestly did not think of. I definitely tried my best to read what the game tells you but they really smack you with a lot of info up front that can be hard to retain (I'm so bad at remembering from just reading anyway). This video is super awesome because you're explaining things while showing them visually, and I can't remember some of the things even being said in the game so I didn't know at all before this video. I was getting really overwhelmed in solo but I think I'll feel a bit better next time I try again ☺️
@@DoujinReader I never grew to like it personally, I did learn that LBG makes it laughably easy but the mode in general is not fun to me, too chaotic and hated it even more when that was the only way to fight Apex monsters. I think they should have put the effort into more monsters and armor sets for Apexes.
20:19 Cannons can shoot aerial targets just fine. You just have to aim beyond the aerial target you want to hit so that the cannonballs arc into them. Just landing a thunderbolt cannonball knocks them to the ground, at which point they can be shot like anything else. Please keep using cannons!
I don’t think you need to spam the trigger while on the installations. I’ve been able to just hold down the trigger for the switch joy-cons and it works fine.
Thank you for this! I had a stressful time soloing Apex Arzuros but I didnt know I had to aim the wyvernfire and that I lost NPCs between rounds. Way more confident now lol
Don't mind the apex part too much, they're scripted to insta break all barriers and run straight to the final gate immediately so pretty much everything is almost meaningless as long as you keep the prior monsters away from the final gate in the second area. If you do that, you're doing good.
If your doing a rampage with 4 players, Often times there is not enough spaces for everyone to be on the 1st line of defence. This is where the manual cannons can really come in nice. You can be on a cannon on the 2nd line of defence and shoot over the wall with your cannon into the 1st area. Also the specialty ammo (x and y) Help charged levels to them if you hold them down, And they will do a lot more damage and area fact!
Just as an FYI, you can just fast travel to the main camp between waves, don't need a Farcaster. I usually start setting up auto ballistas and cannons after wave one, then travel back to finish setting up the starting area.
Thanks for the guide, I was expecting it to "MAYBE TRY AGAIN" because after doing the mandatory Rampages I HATED IT SO MUCH... I never touched it again and kept doing stuff in High Rank. I understand it could be fun in multiplayer but since I mainly play solo it was a mess, stressed me, made me furious and felt like a shitty game mode.
Same situation for me, I work at night and usually play before work away from home and it feels like a chaotic mess to me solo, doing the Apex Arzuros mission now just like "Why would you make this mandatory?", for those of us that don't like tower defense and can't play multiplayer for whatever reason, it's kind of a mess.
@@waynesingleton5322 Clearly you misunderstood, I beat it solo, I know it's not mandatory to do multiplayer, I said it's mandatory to play Rampage. That mode is a chaotic mess solo. That mode should be separate, not forced onto you to progress and Apex monsters never should have been locked behind that mode.
@@waynesingleton5322 If you want to experiment with a mode that basically turns the game into a tower defense game instead of the genre we all bought the game to play, then you can't be surprised of people don't like being forced to play it. They could have implemented it as a separate mode you choose to play for different rewards without forcing it onto everyone when no one asked for a tower defense mode.
One trick i find useful which isnt mentioned here is that for the second zone, i tend to put the two autofire wyvernfire cannons on the ground floor, facing one another, and then fight the apex in the middle of the two cannons. The apex doesnt target them specifically so they do a lot more damage than if u leave them and their limited range aiming at the gate. Since the apex only attack the gate every once in a while compared to the hunter.
I personally prioritize the gate crashers last and it stil works. My first target are the green ones and after that the red ones that are near me. It works, i do 7 star high rank quests solo like that. I mean, try to focus a blue(gatecrasher) monster while 2-3 monsters are trying to destroy your weapon and throwing your off it
One thing to contribute: In a multiplayer setting (with comms) pick out the best shooter in your group. Have them position a manual Ballista at the back next to a minigun. While the monsters spawn they Snipe with the Ballista and when the monsters get close they use the minigun. Usually a Horn/Bowgun should be positioned there.
One very important thing to note regarding that, that Ruri never touched on: you can actually ADS while using a mounted installation! That makes it much easier to snipe with them, since you obviously are more zoomed in.
Tbh I’m a newcomer to the franchise with rise and found rampage fantastic. I usually play RTS/tactic based games and rampage fulfills a nice blend of tactical defense and AOT/Gundam style field fighting. Not aware of the lore, but if defense style play is new then it fulfills a basic need for explaining how monsters are dealt with when incursions toward the village occur. My only gripe is how low the platforms are and how the Apex always knocks you off any platform you’re on
Nice video for rampage beginners, but it feels like you left out a lot of info for an "ultimate guide". There are a few things I was looking for more info on but you failed to mention at all, such as: The various rampage arenas The bombs and explosive kunai you can set up Machine canons What the various ammo types of each installation do, other than the ballistae Demonstration of the various Warriors of Kamura (how each attacks, where to place, etc.) Cooldown timers for destroyed installations, gong, dragonator without the kiln, etc. Information on rampage objectives and rankings; how do the rewards scale (S/A/B/C tiers and so on) How durable the gates are and how to view how close they are to being destroyed Hopefully looking forward to a follow-up advanced rampage guide where you cover some of these things!
Just did my 2nd rampage and won thanks to your guide. 1st rampage I got slaughtered!! Using your tips I didn't cart and it was actually crazy but fun. Thanks again for the guide!!
A great tip for Wyvern fire artillery placements, try placing 2 of them near the big gates and the lines are in a cross pattern. This makes both the turrets shoot the larger gate crushing monsters. Worked wonders for me, got me through apex rathian and mitezune easily.
I'm not a fan of rampage.. Im more a solo player.. And the one apex I have faced i just couldn't get the defences set up in time in second area... I killed old pooh bear tho... Bu it was a chore. I just cba to do it again atm. No doub I'll get it eventually though.
Honestly the rampage mode is a kind of smart fix to the siege-style quests that have always been apart of the series. Even at their best, the event sieges always suffered the issue of having these slow waiting moments where you just watch animations and pray that youre doing what the game wants. Its the reason why Zorah is so boring most of the time. Clearly they realized that the best sieges were the ones against monsters you can actually fight. (though I'd say they realized this by Iceborne) You can see examples in fights like Gog, new Fatalis, the Velkhana siege, etc. Obviously, they were gonna add some form of siege quests and id argue that if you look at rampage as the newest iteration of this it's a huge success. It actually puts you in control of the siege, so there's more agency in the fight. Because the fight is actually controlled by the player, you don't have to hope that you're following the correct ques from the game. Plus avoids the slow and boring aspects of the previous games. Like I'll be honest, I don't even like the mode that much. HOWEVER, I doubt that anyone would prefer playing Zorah or Arch-Tempered Zorah more. I feel like more people should kinda be in the middle here.
It also keeps you busy, especially the third wave with the Apex. My two least favorite siege monsters to fight were Lao-Shan Lung and Shen Gaoren, simply because of how much of a snoozefest they were. Now with the rampages there's always stuff to do, be it rearranging siege weaponry or thinking about which monster to focus on next. It's just better overall and I think that even monsters like Lao could be improved with a similar system.
@@vermillion6159 100% agree, making it as involved as it is really make feel like im flexing a different part of my brain Before my brain just turned off honestly

If you're solo, seriously consider picking up the Naga LBG with pierce 2 if you want an easier time. Thing will shred monsters fairly quickly even without counter signal and you don't have to bother with messing around with guarding and installing when you're in a pinch, such as monsters breaking through and being spread around the whole map. Hopefully they don't make this mode too much of a thing with future updates, but there are at least ways to mitigate the tedium.
Gonna try this too, never really considered that LBG would def have a huge edge in a mode like this. Any help in this mode is appreciated, doing the Apex Arzuros mission solo is... Definitely something for those of us that don't play or like tower defense games.
seriously rampage is the sole reason I stopped play MH Rise, I wasn't a huge MH fan to begin with... I think I only get MH gameplay when I tried MH 4 Ultimate. And I decided to dive in MH Rise to see if it will elevate the game to me... I started to enjoy the game a bit until I have to play the 2nd rampage mission to progress the game, and I gave up after failing that stupid rampage mission 10 times straight. I wouldn't say I didn't give it a chance to grow on me at that point
I am not even sure why they have forecast in this game! You can fast travel at any point back to the camp without one! Even in rampage. You can open up the detailed map, And fast travel to the camp. Just like you can fast travel between your main camp and the sub camps in a normal hunt!
Probably for use in the middle of fighting a difficult monster, since you cannot fast travel when being attacked. But not like its difficult to run away far enough to use the fast travel, or like there is much of a reason to fast travel while being attacked. With version 1.1.1 at least.
@@blahblahblahhhhhh112 yep most of the shinies monsters drop in the rampage are actually special elemental barrel bombs for various elements. they can only be used during the rampage but they are definitely useful for inflicting elemental statuses.
Good stuff man, also the mini quests do contribute to your points but they also contribute to your overall score at the end of the rampage, mo ranks equals mo rewards equals mo better.
For people stating that you can use the map to travel back to camp, yes that true, but the farcaster is quicker for some people due to a single button press but every person has their own opinion
this video was awesome!! I didn't like rampages at all but since i saw this video and actualy learned how to do them theyre quite fun once u get the hang of it
Came here hoping to pick up 1 or 2 tips I hadn't heard of and was blown away. Holy moly guides like this are why teammates suck so much at rampages LOL. I noticed you didn't show your reward screen, might be because you'll never get an S+ without doing your missions. In this guide you literally advocate ignoring your missions when they're sooo easy to do. I thought it was weird that only me and my duo were working on the missions but I guess it's not their fault if they watched this video.
I don't mind rampage but in my 60 hours (so far of gameplay) I've only done it 5-6 times. I'm glad they don't force it on us, I'll probably use it as a break from regular farming
Thanks for the guide, I hope they put these Apex monsters in quests, I've done 3 Rampages and I'm already sick of them, Grinding on Tower Defense isn't my Idea of a monster HUNTING game
Yes! The Cornpopper! One of my favorite GL’s! The only thing I would do different is your priorities. Since the automatic defenders don’t prioritize one over the other and the airborne focus solely on installations, at least while in solo I would make Green priority over Blue. Yes you can knock them out of the sky, but if you ignore them for too long, the disable you means of defense and the AI on the automatic defenders don’t think to turn their attention to the thing kill them off. Otherwise there are some good tips here I didn’t think of, I need to farm Rampage for spoiler related reasons so this will help.
Ah thank for this. Finally i saw some good rampage explanation. I'm a new player of mh rise. I'm on my first rampage and i was confused on what to do. I always manage to defend the first hordes but whenever it gets to the last horde with the big boss, i fail and i didn't know why coz i was doing fine. Watching this, turns out i didn't know about the second and final area. So all those times, the area with the final gate was always defenseless😭 Also, i love rampage. The chaos that comes with it is fun. I'm a newbie and i'm just confused about it but i enjoyed it😃
i didnt expect to enjoy rampage! i think its nice to have variety but it doesnt really force you grind to hell on these and changes up the gameplay in a good way. it does get really fun tho when there is people on your team than doing it solo. also im glad i learned a lot from this video rurikhan!
After hitting 6 stars quest I've decided to forego my dislike for Rampage (so much stress to me, I feel like I'm asked to do the impossible under a timer lol, there's too much to manage) and start putting the leg work to at least be decent and not dread it THAT much. I found out lower-lvl rampage quest aren't available and keep up with your star levels lmao. The rewards for Rampage are worth it, and imho easier to farm materials (time-wise) from monsters. So far I know to bring in my traps and barrels for free damage (also I don't use them much on hunts, preferring to kill monsters), but I also get so anxious/stressed that I forget about them and go about fighting the monsters as if it were a normal hunt lol. Hopefully I'll pick up new tricks from this video and make it easier to handle! Seeing you with a Gunlance makes me rethink my close-combat choice of weapons. Long-range will definitely be more effective I believe... now, to master them.
I was having trouble with this mode solo until I realize I can just go ham beating monsters with melee during counter signal. Plus never let riding monster opportunity go to waste, they can really lock down multiple of them.
Here's a tip- Make a Rampage loadout and build for max fire, poison, and flinch resistances. Put a bow or LBG on it, rampage is pretty much the only place a shrapnel shot build is good.
I hate rampages. Trully made the game way less enjoyable to me, so I have been on a binge to try and find ways to make it less paingful, or at lesat faster. This was a good list. I'd just add that you can bring traps, bombs and flashpods along, which can all be helpful too, but are not a MUST, as the resources the game gives you are enough. I hope Capcom finds a way to make this mode less bad though, because... Damn Nice video!
I do like this guide, though I do want to point out a couple things. You did prioritize the gatecrashers first, but I feel like Basarios is extra threatening because of the absurd defense. The rangers aren’t too bad unless Pukei is involved, in that case just kill it because it will make a mess of mainly you, especially if you’re riding someone. And lastly, the stalkers aren’t terrible like you said, but get Zinogre and especially Bishaten out as soon as possible because they take what you said about stalkers being less of a hassle and throws it out the window. Next. I always place my wyvernfire artillery near the back so they get their chance to do something. And third, the only quest I’ve ever failed in this game is Apex Rathian, but I came super close to losing the fight with Apex Mizutsune so either I’m not as good of a fighter as you, or I’m just bad. But I still would agree with you on the lack of difficulty but that doesn’t mean it isn’t stressful.
i didn't really enjoy the rampage so far honestly, mainly because of how chaotic it is. i'm just not good with so many things going on and so many tasks that aren't 'in a straight line' because i get overwhelmed really easily by that and when that happens i just can't take more information in and i essentially have to stop playing to calm down again. also i feel like it would be a little easier to do that with other people because then i could have my tasks and just do them instead of managing everything but unfortunately i also have pretty bad social anxiety and i haven't gotten the courage to go online lol. but this video made it all look more managable to me, so i might try again!
the thing that makes it chaotic for me is not knowing how many more installations i can plant before they override older ones. of course, rurikan says it's 5, 2, 2, 3 in terms of limit, but does that mean we have to eyeball them ourselves? do player controlled installations count against this total? also, how much health the final gate has before it breaks would be nice to know... is there anywhere on the UI that shows these things?
A golden tip is to abuse mounts to their full extend. If you see a monster you can mount go in it asap and go wham. When you are on the ground spam the shit out of attacks that lets you eventually mount monsters and repeat.
Quick note on fighting an Apex: You said to throw every NPC at it. That's not entirely correct. -The chance to hit the Apex with extra Splitting Wyvernshots, Dragonators, a barrage of machine cannon fire, etc
Definitely better than the defend quests in MH World, recharging a cannon a million times to shoot volcano giant. I think rampage is a nice change of pace from quick multiplayer hunts
@@Eaglemcfly1 ten times better than Zora or the big Sandfish guy from MH Tri
You don't need the farcaster to move back to camp, you can just fast travel to camp using your map.
Holy shit you just changed the game for me
Didn't expect to see such an exquisite gunlance.
It’s one of my favorite Gunlances, I try to make it every game.
Just was thinking that I needed to watch something like this. Appreciate the vid bossman
Thanks for posting this. I wasn't having much fun with rampages because I had no idea what I was doing. This should help a lot
Rurikhan literally makes the BEST monster hunter guides super glad i found this channel! Thanks for the awesome content.
I hope things turn around once I get the hang of rampage because I really, strongly dislike it. Thanks for the tips.
Me too!
playing on pc currently do you like it?
I’ve been able to just hold down the trigger for the switch joy-cons and it works fine.
you can hold it but you have to let go of the button when you want to use a special shot or block, which is a little annoying!
I was like "yeah im not gonna do rampage all that much" but then i saw the materials needed for focus deco's...
Me for the ammo up decos. Do make sure you cut off the tail and carve it because that will usually give you one of those parts.
Shields up! Thanks for all the great content Ruri!
Had to come back to say I can not believe I thought rampages were hard. Thank you
Great guide man. I was not enjoying rampages I'll run a few tonight and apply your wisdom.
THIS is what I needed. Legit as they come. THANK YOU.
@@mismismism prolly since it’s isn’t a mandatory multiplayer mode you can solo apex monster in rampage 🤦🏽♂️
@@mismismism play a few rampage an still complain this is exactly developer’s don’t try new thing
Since the apex only attack the gate every once in a while compared to the hunter.
yo this is exactly what I do too! I haven't seen anyone really mention this strategy but I'm sure it will get more attentions as time goes on.
Thank you so much for this...I had literally no idea wtf I was doing the first time I joined a HUB doing a Rampage
Your voice sounds so much better good job.
I personally prioritize the gate crashers last and it stil works. My first target are the green ones and after that the red ones that are near me. It works, i do 7 star high rank quests solo like that. I mean, try to focus a blue(gatecrasher) monster while 2-3 monsters are trying to destroy your weapon and throwing your off it
This is very informative and strategic. Now I hope i could do better in my own solo rampage. Thank you.
One thing to contribute:
In a multiplayer setting (with comms) pick out the best shooter in your group.
There are a few things I was looking for more info on but you failed to mention at all, such as:
The various rampage arenas
The bombs and explosive kunai you can set up
Machine canons
What the various ammo types of each installation do, other than the ballistae
Demonstration of the various Warriors of Kamura (how each attacks, where to place, etc.)
Cooldown timers for destroyed installations, gong, dragonator without the kiln, etc.
Information on rampage objectives and rankings; how do the rewards scale (S/A/B/C tiers and so on)
How durable the gates are and how to view how close they are to being destroyed
Hopefully looking forward to a follow-up advanced rampage guide where you cover some of these things!
Best rampage guide I have seen!! Well done
it wouldn't be Monster Hunter without you Sir, love your work, glad your still with the series strong.
Am I the only one who doesn’t like rampage mode ? I hate this mode since it’s so freaking tedious. But I like everything else ! The monsters are fun.
No, you're not.
I'm not a fan of rampage.. Im more a solo player.. And the one apex I have faced i just couldn't get the defences set up in time in second area... I killed old pooh bear tho... Bu it was a chore.
I just cba to do it again atm. No doub I'll get it eventually though.
I love it. A breath of fresh air. Once you learn what you’re doing, it’s crazy fun
@@ActionJaxonH agreed Rampage for me is fucking fun. Since I've been playing since MHFU this is a good breath of fresh air.
@@vermillion6159 100% agree, making it as involved as it is really make feel like im flexing a different part of my brain
Before my brain just turned off honestly
I didn't hear Ruri talk about it much but cannons are extremely useful in multiplayer for dps and dealing damage to condensed groups of monsters. You can also hold the button for the x and y attacks to charge them up for a stronger attack for a lot more damage but you risk taking a hit, so be careful. Ballista are for crowd control, cannons are AoE dps, machine cannons are single target dps but can also use silkbind to bring a monster to it. You should always collaborate with your teammates who uses what because one or two people should definitely swap to a cannon immediately when your stronghold reaches level 2.
Something really useful I think rurikhan missed is that you can use flash bombs and traps in the area as an extra source of crowd control. Flash bombs especially are useful for stopping gate crashers. Don't forget you can also throw the elemental barrel bombs at the ground from the air.
When you have four people I agree it's insane and so much fun on the high end rampages.
seriously rampage is the sole reason I stopped play MH Rise, I wasn't a huge MH fan to begin with...
With version 1.1.1 at least.
the wirebug barrel bomb throw is very helpful for using the bombs that drops from monsters
Bombs drop from the monsters??
@@blahblahblahhhhhh112 yep most of the shinies monsters drop in the rampage are actually special elemental barrel bombs for various elements. they can only be used during the rampage but they are definitely useful for inflicting elemental statuses.
@@joshmay2944 Oh wow! Never actually noticed that! Thank you!!
Great guide, thank you! We totally failed our first low rank key quest rampage, but with the guide beat the Apex Arzuros on the first try 🤩
Good stuff man, also the mini quests do contribute to your points but they also contribute to your overall score at the end of the rampage, mo ranks equals mo rewards equals mo better.
"Throw everything and the kitchen sink" HA that actually broke me for a minute. Love the guide!
For people stating that you can use the map to travel back to camp, yes that true, but the farcaster is quicker for some people due to a single button press but every person has their own opinion
this video was awesome!! I didn't like rampages at all but since i saw this video and actualy learned how to do them theyre quite fun once u get the hang of it
So what does the dragonbait attract? you mention at 5:48, but never again after. Is this for the blue version of the last boss only?
It attracts monsters with the red Icon above them. I personally use it to get all the red monsters in one spot and dragonator them.
Not a fan of Rampage tbh but it has good rewards
To each their own. Im a new player in rise and I've heard of the seige stuff from mhw iceborne, would've liked to see that return
Like a thousand other hunters on a thousand other Rampages, we thank you for the guide.
Plants weapon on the ground; "YOU, SHALL NOT PASS!!"
Thank you so much for this video!!!
So all those times, the area with the final gate was always defenseless😭
Also, i love rampage. The chaos that comes with it is fun. I'm a newbie and i'm just confused about it but i enjoyed it😃
Came here cause I was getting recked trying to fight the apex rampage like a normal hunt, very helpful.
i didnt expect to enjoy rampage! i think its nice to have variety but it doesnt really force you grind to hell on these and changes up the gameplay in a good way. it does get really fun tho when there is people on your team than doing it solo. also im glad i learned a lot from this video rurikhan!
This helped so much thank you
very very good content! thx a lot for the good and clear tips !!
Very solid guide with everything you need to know! Just throw everything at it including the kitchen sink! Hahaha
But what if i don't have a kitchen sink available right now?
I LOVE the Rampage Missions, they're so much fun!!!
I was having trouble with this mode solo until I realize I can just go ham beating monsters with melee during counter signal. Plus never let riding monster opportunity go to waste, they can really lock down multiple of them.
Thank you for this!
Here's a tip- Make a Rampage loadout and build for max fire, poison, and flinch resistances. Put a bow or LBG on it, rampage is pretty much the only place a shrapnel shot build is good.
Anybody else think the icon for placing the Fugen installation looks like the Chad from the "Virgin VS Chad" meme with a beard?
thanks a ton. this is exactly the information I need.
Damn
Nice video!
thank you for this information. now i can run the rampages solo
Thank you dude!
Awesome. Thank you. I figured out most of it. Basically like a tower game, but better! Ha. Now i love this mode
Rampage is the definition of “Everyone got a plan until they get punched in the face”
I Do not like rampage.
Glad some enjoy it and really appreciate the guide.
The rainbow bird is called a Prism Spiribird.
The first time you’re getting into a rampage everyone is gonna be yelling at you to do stuff
Maybe I missed it.. but I needed some explanation on applying ailments. What is the best way to do so? 🙋🏾♂️
Cannons they have charged attacks that deal thunder blight
@@chrisrinehart222 thanks! But those are elemental blights, not ailments.
As far as I know that counts
i didn't really enjoy the rampage so far honestly, mainly because of how chaotic it is. i'm just not good with so many things going on and so many tasks that aren't 'in a straight line' because i get overwhelmed really easily by that and when that happens i just can't take more information in and i essentially have to stop playing to calm down again. also i feel like it would be a little easier to do that with other people because then i could have my tasks and just do them instead of managing everything but unfortunately i also have pretty bad social anxiety and i haven't gotten the courage to go online lol. but this video made it all look more managable to me, so i might try again!
the thing that makes it chaotic for me is not knowing how many more installations i can plant before they override older ones. of course, rurikan says it's 5, 2, 2, 3 in terms of limit, but does that mean we have to eyeball them ourselves? do player controlled installations count against this total?
also, how much health the final gate has before it breaks would be nice to know... is there anywhere on the UI that shows these things?
A golden tip is to abuse mounts to their full extend. If you see a monster you can mount go in it asap and go wham.
When you are on the ground spam the shit out of attacks that lets you eventually mount monsters and repeat.
