I owned a YZF600R for years. I would top out at 156mph, over a 2 mile course.. Not sure why you're not at least getting 240-250 km/h on it.. I had a carbon fiber Scorpion Exhaust system on mine, plus a tiny bit of intake work.. nothing special. It was not my fastest bike, but, the comfy steel frame, absorbed the bumps, smoothed out the ride. I owned many sports bikes over time, a lot of them much larger in size, but nothing compared to the rideability or confidence of the YZF600R.
Unfortunately, our riding partner died one weekend I didn't go out, and my bike sat for a year. I finally sold it, knowing I'd lost the want or will to ride because of his death.. so, the guy I sold my bike to, had only ridden dirt bikes in the past. He killed himself on it. I felt bad, but I found the ugly story out, when I saw a guy riding it after he purchased it salvage and put it back together.
Please, no matter your level of confidence, your level of capability and how skilled you feel you are, don't become a donor.. I had zero fear, complete confidence and I knew I could do anything on any bike.. The skill I have on 2 wheels, is what you'd expect for someone riding a high performance most of their life.. but, with that comes overconfidence, and you risk dying.. bad. So, no matter your level of skills and how truly confident you feel, if you get that feeling, stop riding. You will become a donor, like so many friends of mine.

My old Thundercat is still the best bike I ever owned... it wasn't the fastest or anywhere near the most nimble by a long shot, but being a big guy (6'6) it was plenty exciting when used as a comfortable cruiser and commuter.

@@Yourmomsbf-nx9ve I had one and loved it but I also had a 2009 fz6r and it was extremely comfortable. It wasn’t nearly as fast as the cat but still fun.

Idiots like you who look at the running milage are the reason why every clock is reserved back for fools . You buy condition not milage you idiot.

The trees are passing so sedately, I can almost read the signs on the side of the road. When I flat my zx9r everything on the sides is just a blur. Not saying this is fake. This goes for most top speed videos on TH-cam.

I have the same bike. My speedometer reads 180 but tops out at 160. How does your bike read over 200 when it's a 600cc not over 1000cc??

600cc bikes can easily go above 200. But going at 250-280 i dont thing this bike is standard. But i might be totaly wrong.
