Pradeep moved from his hometown in Nepal to Bengaluru over 40 years ago to seek employment in Chinese owned kitchens. SInce then, he has worked in some of the top Chinese restaurants in the city and also in Mumbai. Joined by his brother, also a service staff veteran in Chinese restaurants, the duo opened My Little China, a modest restaurant in Kothanur, East Bengaluru nine years ago. I dropped into their restaurant impromptu one afternoon and tasted a range of their dishes. The food here, I found light, flavourful and bereft of the chilli-garlic stodginess that passes off for the cuisine in the mainstream segment. Definitely a must visit if you enjoy Chinese food.
Hope you enjoy this episode, part of our special initiative to shine a bit of light on unsung eateries that are doing good work.

Good job Kripal Sir. Such humble souls. I hope they do well in life. So many years of experience should be recognized
We have known these brothers for more than a decade and when we came to this area they happened to open their outlet here too. I highly recommend their food and what Kripal mentioned about the crunch in their veggies is so true and it's been consistent over the years. We love their hakka noodles, Tsing Hoi chicken and many more. The cherry on the top is their humility and the genial manner in which they deal with their customers. Wishing them many more years of service
I’m a regular customer here. The owner is a really good person who always treats me well whenever I visit his restaurant.
Excellent and Reasonable anna..
Thank you Kripal and team for encouraging and promoting such lesser known eateries.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊
I still remember our Good old days and the Great Chinese Food at Blue Heaven and China Garden in Bangalore 😢
Satish Arora, a Taj chef, who served Indias finest PM and foodie, AB Vajpayee had said watching his expression after he took the first bite of a dish was more than any feedback he could give. the soup and the noodles seem to be good, albeit in vegetarian form, wish more items were covered.
It was definitely a go to place when I was studying in Kristu Jayanti college ❤
You know what I miss about Indo-Chinese cuisine, The Pork items like double cooked pork (semi gravy) which has fat attached to it. You do not get such cuts in the Chinese cuisine in Europe. It is mostly lean meat which is boring.
Nice to see the comments are mostly positive. Not the usual, speak in Kannada nonsense
It's very heartening Kripal see you showcasing these small eateries.
Over past 4 years watching your prog
Kripal you are so humble 😊
Hi Kripal
My heartiest congratulations to the wonderful and humble chefs.
Kripala Ji was making sure that he washes the lemon grass before he cooks it 😅
Bangalore food scene is like a theater. There are characters on either side of the serving table.
That stir fried chicken with veggies look yum. The way Kripal explains every dish❤️
The food here looks far tastier than what they serve in some star chinese restaurants. Best of luck to the brothers. Anybody else would have named their restaurant just "Little China". By adding 'MY' to it, the brothers have made it feel more warm and inviting.
It’s always a pleasure watching your videos Mr Amana . I did my dentistry graduation from Bangalore almost 28 years ago and my student life there was some of the best times of my life. I used to explore lots of eateries and remember my teachers used to ask me of good places in Bangalore. My last visit to Bangalore was in 2001, and I couldn’t recognise the place and find my home where I stayed for almost 5 years. Watching your videos bring those wonderful memories and listening to you speak in Kannada fills my heart with joy as I was one of the few North Indian students who made a conscious effort to learn Kannada language. It’s been almost 13 years since I visited India, and am looking forward to visiting India soon. I really enjoyed your videos with MarkWeins and also these videos where you promote some well deserving but unsung heroes in the food industry.
