Gate should be fine. We have one on our older crush up top of yard. Still use it from time to time. They work 100%. Congrats on getting you stock moved in.... sheds and yards a great job 👍👌
Nice tidy shed im sure your pleased with it. I think the nugent head gate is the best a few years back I put one in at and out farm and never looked back great piece of kit I was advised by alot of people to go for a nugent. Would you please do a video explaining tractor hydraulics like single/double acting float the taps etc. happy new year
We've the nugent head gate they are a handy gate to work. Tractor hydraulics video would be interesting. Happy new year and all the best with the new shed looks great
I have just watched this upload and enjoyed it, I will have to go back to the start to watch the build, tidy yard, I will subscribe to help subs move in the right direction 👍
Doing a great job. Shed and yard looks 100%. 3k subs 👌 keep up the good video's and you will be at 10k in no length... Happy New year to you and all the farming community watching these videos...
great videos all the time, can you do a farm tour video of all the yard and different sheds and milking parlor, also can you do a video on what stock you have and numbers, thanks
them head gated are good enough just grease it and look after it we have 1 and find it good enough and as for stock going straight through it, it happens occasionally but usually very good
I used work with a vet for 6 or 7 years out testing them gates are great job when they are working right completely joke of a thing when they go wrong and aren't sorted.
@@IFarmWeFarm It's usually something with the springs up top not keeping the gate close enough so animals just run through them so ppl just end up keeping them closed cause they never get anyone to fix them lol
Best of luck with the new build. Turned out great! What direction is open side facing? I’m not far away from you but a lot of people telling me I should build mine facing south. It will be very similar to your one! Great videos throughout 👍🏻
Good video again Adrian. I run my underground electric fencing feed through blue or black plastic water pipe.... Easy to replace if you ever get a short. ⚡️👍.
I use half inch heavy gauge water pipe under the gate ways but it still can cause issues, I do put a battery radio on MW band and it finds the shorts quite quickly as you walk along. I’ll figure it out as I go anyhow, cheers lad. Hope you and the family have a safe and happy 2020 👍
bambino head2 it’s quite straight forward, if you put the radio on Medium Wave and make sure it’s between channels. Walk along the fence hold the radio within 3-4 feet of the wire and it will start to crack when ur within 10 feet from a fault. It’s great for finding weakened insulators and faults alike that would not find otherwise. I check all my fences every spring and always find loads of faults. Keeps ur fence at full power 👍

IFarm WeFarm I only cross one gate away where compression is an issue, I still use water pipe but it’s pushed through a piece of scaffold tube so it won’t get crushed.
Don't put in that crush gate nugent fully automatic gate is a great job. Might b twice the price but I've one 10 yrs and put a lot through it. I have that other gate as well in mobile crush they r very middling don't always close properly
James Gill I have this now anyhow so we’ll put it in and if it’s not fit for purpose it will be coming out, might as well try it when it’s there, was told the Nugent was a great gate and will probably for in2 it for a new crush we’re putting in a home. Thanks though for the advise 👍
Barrett agri I’ll certainly try that, the only thing is a that the crows are going into the slats picking through the manure for traces of meal, them greys crows are the main culprits
Barrett agri Thanks for the tips, yes a nut wouldn’t pass through there system as quick and may not attract the same amount in there manure , I can feed a night for a while and see if that helps👍
Lovely set up you have there . Do you mind me asking how much the esb connection is . I have an out building myself just built and could do with esb . I thought I would manage but it's a pain without it.
Micheal O'Donovan welding simple things likes gates and yard equipment is ok to do urself, the walls on the other hand are being built be a registered builder and that’s a must to meet grant spec.
If you find a cure to keeping those crows away, let us know. We are tortured by thousands of crows and doesn’t help when using a diet feeder with meal mixed with the silage.
You have come a long way from when you started adrian and be proud of it! Cant wait for all the videos next year 😀 could you shoot the crows? You only get in trouble if you get caught 😉
If shes not blue she'll not do Thank you, I think you can shoot them if there causing harm, not sure but will be finding all that out first, we’ll everything else first. 👌
Micheal O'Donovan your rite, I didn’t realise that when I made this video but figured it out a short time after, we will cut in2 the wall instead, thanks lad
Cormac Delaney don’t think the neighbours would like that one but I know lads that had them on maize crops and it wasn’t to long before the crow figured it out and passed no remarks.

The shed and yard is very well done easy work with cattle. All your need to do is fill it cattle . The very best luck in 2020
Lovely job done on it. Once the gates are up and hanging who cares what the welds look like
Very true, but I’ll clean them up when we get power. Thank Aaron
Great to see the job finished! Congrats. The cows look very happy. All the best I. The new year! Look forward to lots more videos
Great video, starting watching you over the Christmas lovely tidy set up you have

Great looking yard, well planned out, tidy and efficient , great video. keep up the great work and wishing you a successful 2020😊😊👍👍

wheaten bread Thank you, glad to have you on board
Hi Adrian, you could use a spring loaded clip to prevent the cattle from opening the side door
Thomas Holmes I did a quick fix to that door yesterday, similar to what ur suggesting, you will see it on my next video 👍
@@IFarmWeFarm great video's Adrian, looking forward to your next installment, keep up the good work 👍👍
That shed is looking good. All the best to you young man for 2020!

Guess you’re in Ireland, if you know and Mcdowell or Mcdole say hello from the US
You managed to keep them out good while to be fair the fields have been soaking since october xD
Gerard Mccarthy we kept them moving from field to field every other day but I’m glad now all’s indoors

Hang fake snakes. We do that in our trees and it keeps the birds away. Happy New Year
Nice shead. Try brackets would it work with gate I find them ok good gate how many cattle can it fit happy new year to you and yours

Could you tell us about dimensions of the building please?

Noel Reilly new standard connection is €2000 all in.
If you're cutting the top of the gate just watch that the hinge linkage has clearance against the wall with the gate open.
Will you still get the grant when your welding up and bolting your own pillars and gates? Same with the block walls are they not out of spec?
Micheal O'Donovan welding simple things likes gates and yard equipment is ok to do urself, the walls on the other hand are being built be a registered builder and that’s a must to meet grant spec.
You should get a crow banger they would be gobe
Crows break my heart, especially the grey lads
Tidy shed👌 wonder if your goin to get a light bar for your quad after seeing how mine was mounted🤔 great vid again Adrian
Luke Harcus I’ve been thinking about it that’s for sure 😊
IFarm WeFarm I’ve gotten a reversing light to go on yet but it was a big enough chore putting the front light on😂

Mikey Sky I will do, follow me on instagram and you can message me for results 👍
Bolt a piece of steel on the wall and weld the crush gate to it
nick Lad yes that’s what we will do, but I’ll wait till we get power connected so I can get a good weld on the hinges 👍
@@IFarmWeFarm it worked the best here and saves alot of messing around

Cupl blue barrels bolt 2 gether class job when the dun turn em up sid down barrels ar free or cheap
Brendan Meegan yes I got 2 barrels yesterday and will put them this week, they will work great but won’t completely solve the problem unfortunately
Dont cut a section off the gate it wont function properly the arms go into that space, cutting a hole is the standard practice
