Adrian, you should be dam proud of yourself for doing what you've done over the years, those memories are precious in life and for your kids too. Well done and God bless your parents.
I’d go as far as saying it’s the best TH-cam video I’ve ever watched I’m a young farmer and it’s very inspiring what you’ve achieved Adrian
I was thinking the same myself. One of the best TH-cam videos I've ever seen. Just brilliant 👏
I was thinking along similar lines
Agree with you fully. What a joy to watch. As we say here...ppl that work the land are salt if the earth. 🇨🇦
Hi Adrian I am a small dairy farmer from Australia where milking 60-70 cows is not common. My wife and I both work off farm as well ( I am a farrier by trade)so at times it makes for long days. We have 5 grown up children and have enjoyed the times where your kids were helping to move cows stopping calves jumping over temporary electric fences etc ( just like us) . Until recently I was beginning to question whether to keep going with a small herd and was perhaps embarrassed to be such a small farmer. Then you and your videos came along and you have inspired us and we have a completely new attitude . We want to be like Adrian with a beautiful, neat tidy little farm. When we are planning or doing new projects we even impersonate you with put on Irish accents. I do have Irish heritage from Cork. Thank you so much you have made us proud to be small dairy farmers 😊
That’s what it’s all about Peter, as long as your content that’s all that matters. Have a great 2022
Keep farming Peter, I jumped out and miss it
I'd love to see an Aussie dairy farmer on youtube, Missing home grown
Hi Peter, I’m farrier and a dairy farmer here in Georgia USA. I happy to see a colleague in the same situation (I don’t feel that crazy now). I’m looking for the day to be a full time farmer… I enjoy watching Adrian channel a lot, inspired me to keep going when things get complicated.
@@IFarmWeFarmyou went to Ballyhaise in Cavan, what year was that? I spent a summer there many years ago. BatW I find you’re videos very interesting
I’d wager everyone else likes your videos as much as your parents … I’d say we all love them... I’m so glad you told the story about your mother.. because I had a stroke recently and didn’t think I would ever recover… it’s been two months and I’m doing great, with the exception of a poorly hand … and right leg …but it’s returning slowly … and it’s so inspiring to hear of someone who has 90% of their mobility back… I’m the same way, and my speech isn’t quite what it should be.. but it’s coming along… this was the most informative Vlog… very interesting too..!! Your dad can be very proud of you … God bless… ❤❤❤x
U are a good farmer Adrian very honest man. Joe o mahony
Don't normally comment Adrian but hats of you and the family on the success of your farm development....Serious hard work, sacrifice and Investment for sure. Well done to you and your family 👪, never miss a vlog 👏 Have a great successful 2022 😊
Adrian the yard and its development is a credit to you. One thing is for sure: you aren't afraid of hard work. Continued success to you and the family.
Have just discovered your channel..my husband and I are so impressed with your work ethic and positive attitude..so encouraging! ..and your love and respect for the shed your dad built☺
Amazing! Thank you for sharing your life.
What amazing story quite impressed nice to see old pics amazing video 1976-to-2022
I really enjoyed this episode. I think the vast majority of people really don't comprehend at all the amount of knowledge a farmer needs to have, and the amount of hard hard work they put in every single day. You should feel very proud of what you have accomplished, and what your parents accomplished before you. They never gave up, and neither did you. I do so enjoy these videos. It was nice to see the pictures at the end, to see how far the farm has come. I do realize this was 10 months ago, I hope your father and mother are doing well now.
Possibly the best video that you have done Adrian! Fantastic achievement over a relatively short time - an amazing amount of hard work by you (and not forgetting the support of your family)
Well done ye made mighty job place
Marvellous to see how you have built the farm from what it was to current times 🇬🇧🇮🇪.
We have a small farm in Cornwall. Really enjoying this channel. Excellent attention to detail
The dad’s pole shed has last 30 years+. It will last decades more with proper up keep. Never a good idea to tear down a good pole barn/garage as they always come in handy for something in the future you never thought about. Glad you’re keeping it.
Farmers do get it tough, and being one of the hardest demanding jobs on the planet, where many people just dont understand without farmers, you dont eat period!
That was wonderful. So good to see how the farm has changed. Of course, you have not changed, except for your lovely silver hair.
👍👍❤️😁😁
What an inspiration you are for any young person starting out in life.well done man.
Absolutely brilliant video. So natural. Well done!☘️👍
Adrain, one of the Best vidios I have watched for a long time, I have been following you for a good many years now, every Sunday morning here in Oakville Ontario, Canada. I left Ireland in June 1970 from a very small farm in County Down , your vidios bring back many good times at the hay and silage times, all the Best for the future Brian ,👍👍
This is my first comment on any you tube video i have watched over the last five years but I feel compelled to congratulate all concerned on what you and your family have achieved over the years. Good luck on the next chapter in your success story.
Cheers mate 👍
You can be proud of what you achieved, Adrian. Your father must be very proud of his son, very very proud!
Hi Adrian, I just want say that your videos are so motivating. Much appreciated. 🎉
I absolutely love following you all. Your never still, always on the go x
Last photo says a thousand words. Well done Adrian. You deserve what you have and gained over the years. Continued success and good health to all.
You are an amazing man with God’s gift for farming and all things entrepreneurial! Ireland would be wise to make you Secretary of Agricultural and let you help farmers plan good, sustainable farms of all kind. But you wouldn’t be happy because you are a “hands on” person. Keep on doing what you’re doing!! Your example here on Facebook to others is priceless!! God bless you!!
It made me cry you worked so hard on that farm . From humble beginning to what you have now. Just by sheer hard work . And determination. I am so glad your now reping the benefits now with your family. I so look forward to seeing your videos on Sunday. Makes my day. I respect you so much.Adrian all the best and a happy new year. X
Thanks Abbie
Brilliant my man...just a fabulously great job you do. Stumbled on your channel recently and I have been inspired to watch every one you have posted. I love your values and your sense of family and community. Great story 👏 Thanks, or as you say there and we say here, tanks from 🇨🇦
As the saying goes Rome wasn’t built in a day but planning, hard graft and passion oozes from this video Adrian. A real credit to your parents, yourself and family. It’s what the family farm is all about.
You make your parents proud as well as showing your children what can be accomplished with hard work can get you.
Nice to see the 698 we also have a 698 and a 699 absolute brilliant tractor
Really enjoyed this video, wish I’d been wise enough to catalogue progress on our farms over the decades. Well done Adrian and I’m sure your folks are justifiably proud of you 👍
Adrian I was delighted with what you said about the machinery,so many young lads think it's all about fancy machines and in fairness they can be a great help but it's the infrastructure that makes you money, the drainage work the reseeding and roadways that let you actually carry the stock and the accommodation that lets you get the stock off the land when you need to that's what you need to focus on . I have been watching your videos from the start and although I rarely comment I just want to let you know that I think you have been rubbing off on me, I have just about finished converting an old six bay shed into a new calf rearing unit to accommodate 80 to 100 calves ( we were locked up with TB in November so needed more room for the bulls) and I have been a lot more fussy about it than I usually would have been maybe it's just old age or that you have encouraged me to do it right in the first place and it makes life easier for everyone ( and I include the cattle in the everyone) just finished hanging 30 gates all swinging bolting and adjustable, thanks for the inspiration and keep up the good work.
Thanks lad 👍
Excellent video Adrian. You are a great storyteller. Hard work is never easy but it's results are always a source of personal pride. Pride, but not arrogance. Arrogance tends to come from those that get things easy.
A real good example of what hard work gets you. Nothing comes easy, if it did then I don't think it would be as sweet. The begrudgers can take a long walk off a short pier - continued success and good health to you and your family Adrian.
I watched your video because I saw all that beautiful green grass in the background (what grass we had here was brown and crunchy) and stayed because your videos are so interesting and some of the best that I've seen on YT. You and your Dad's hard work have produced a tidy thriving farm. All the best to you and your family in 2022.
Fantastic video, the thing that stands out for me is that your parents allowed you to forge your own path from a young age and were encouraged to develop the farm the way you wanted. Your parents must be bursting with pride at the transformation over the years which has come from hard work and a lot of sacrafice. Best wishes to you and your family for the year ahead and hope your channel continues to grow. It is also true that a farm is only as good as the man that is in it.👍
Well Adrian fair play just goes to show what can be achieved with a bit of hard work and graft! Your videos have helped me decide to start up the home farm again!
i have some favorite old sayings that go along with your story ... "chrome don't food on the table" and "if you want to get something done, you got to get behind a mule"... another old saying i say when someone is giving me bad advice is " that's a good way for the cow to eat the cabbage".... anyway, great place you have there, may your grass be green in the new year.
The farm is a credit to your mum and dad for starting it off and when you took over you brought the farm forward to the present day with a lot of hard work and careful planing and it fantastic to see it all your mum and dad must be very proud of you for what you have done and the way you are taking the farm forward and the help your wife and the girls help you. You need to get the Ferguson ready for your dad for the summer and good luck in all you do
You should be really proud of the progress you've made to the farm, I'm sure your father would be
Hi Adrian that history shows your strength of character, you have earned and deserve the best, keep safe .Keith
Fantastic memories. My man that bales for us has two 698T two wheel drive and Welger 200 class tractor lovely hum from the turbor.
Its nice to see how your farm yard has developed over time wishing good health to your mum and dad
Adrian you should be really proud of everything you've achieved a great video for any young farmer starting out that you don't need to bog yourself into debt buying top of the range equipment a lot can be achieved by taking your time and planning. Take care of yourself and stay safe
I sure enjoyed the tour and the back story of your dairy farm. It is so refreshing to see how well maintained your farm is, and how hard you work to keep it that way. If you have not watched 10th Generation Dairyman, I encourage you to take a look. It is a family farm (in Pennsylvania) run by a father and son. Eric, the son, is the videographer and narrator. In some sense, I think your farms are similar. Their farm is clean, organized, and very well maintained.
Probably one of my favourite videos you've made. Very interesting seeing the progress your dad and yourself have made on the farm and listening to the story's from the past.
You and your family should be most PROUD ! Such improvement. Seeing things the way they CAN be rather than the way they are is an art. Your roofing skills are very strong. Excellent skylights. Thank you for sharing.🐄🐄🐄🐄
Definitely the best video of all Adrian. A PURE CREDIT TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY 👪. You have made a lot of comfort for yourself now and enjoy it with your young family. God bless your parents 🙏.
Thank you very much for the memories Adrian, fantastic progression through the years and all down to being a great son and hard work. Thank you very much for sharing. 👍🏼
Big clap of hands...respect to your father's work 👏
Following the channel for years and always enjoyed the videos, but this one is by far the best one yet! What a great look at how the farm has progressed. All the best for the next Twenty Years.
Well done Adrian brilliant video. I would also like to congratulate you're father and mother. You mentioned your father bought the farm that alone is a big achievement.
Well Adrian, what an amazing video, how you fit all that info into 37 minutes was unbelievable. Love your work ethic & the way you pre planned, yes its hard at the start but now you reap the rewards. Your family will have a secure future. Well done that man. X
Hey lad what a fabulous story …you should be very proud…the cleanliness of the farm is a credit to your work ethic 👌👌
I strongly recommend that you output this video onto media that you can keep copying well into the future and not just leave it on TH-cam. This is fantastic family history and something future generations will really appreciate. I really enjoyed watching this myself. It is interesting listening to how you refer to things in Ireland. Being a Welsh speaking Welshman, I am quite ignorant to how things are referred to in English as we simply never used English words for a lot of things. Not only that, but hear you and Farmer Phill for that matter, refer to Boxing Day as St. Stephen's Day in English was interesting. In Welsh, we call it 'Gwyl San Steffan' (The Feast of St. Stephen), but when speaking English, call it 'Boxing Day', so it is not unusual, but I never knew that in Ireland it was called St. Stephen's Day regardless of language. Thank you for this wonderful video!
What a fantastic story adrian, your dad must be so proud of all uve done all the improvements uve made moving the farm forward and all your hard work.bet hes looking forward to goin on a spin on that tractor when the weather is warmer.
Great to see a family farm going from strength to strength 💪👌👌
Great video Adrian, lovely to see the progress you have made and the respect and understanding you have for your fathers work before you.
Thanks for sharing that A., brilliantly put together and the transformation is heart warming...you must be so proud of your families achievements 👏👏👏
Fantastic Adrian. Not only the video but your industriousness. Such awesome growth and great documentation. Thanks for the overhead shots too. Good to see the actual layout and relationship. God bless and prosper you and your family. Thank you.
Cheers Jim
This is such a good video, it’s nice to see progress, my farm is a weird one, my yard used to be a county council quarry and a lot of the land is either quite steep or dead flat reclaimed bog, my mum has been the only farmer and we only started spending in the last 8 years, for us it’s a hobby but it’s also a good investment.
It’s amazing how much progress a young man can make, and I believe that young man is still making paces of progress
You should be proud of what you've done farming is never but you have made a great success of it very best of luck
That was Awesome Adrian respect to your farther for all the hard work he did keep up the great work Adrian 👍👍✊✊🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴👌👌
One of your best videos Adrian, thank you to your wife for digging up old photos, priceless, you have a great head on your shoulders, and a great vision for your farm, you have no idea how good it is to watch your videos and reminisce on the days i spent grown up on a small farm in Leitrim!
Thanks mate 👍
Great history of the farm Adrian, its nice when you have pictures of the past to look back on and see the progress, as I've said before, your place is the smartest, cleanest and well organized i have seen for some time, i too worked on other farms before taking over the family farm and i totally agree with you that it was an important part of the learning curve to see how other well run farms worked and you take that away with you to help you moving forward with your own farm, more valuable than anything you can learn in a class room.
Thanks David, was just looking through photos for this video during the week, photos I hadn’t seen for a long long time, I got very distracted by them if I’m honest. Great memories
Probably your best video so far, Adrian. Nothing like looking at the fruits of your labour every day.
Really enjoyed this, breath of fresh air in an era where advisors are too keen to spend money for ya. Hard to beat a bit of pride and that feeling of satisfaction for making the most of what ya have at any time. Makes all the new stuff all the sweeter when you do get it. Fair play!
This is brilliant and is exactly the kind of thing that I needed to see, i'm looking at starting milking here on 70 acres with a decent bit of infrastructure and slurry storage, lets just hope that they'll still be allowing new entrants in about 5 years time when I would be able to get in. Great video as always and i do appreciate seeing that its possible to have a profitable small herd as there's not so much talk about that nowadays.
A superb personal documentary film, Adrian, thank you. Its really interesting to see the evolution of a small family dairy farm, and hope you get to do many more fine improvements before your children take over!
Inspirational Adrian ! So many young farmers today are being told that you have to milk 100 to 150 cows to make a living hope these same lads are taking a look at what you have built over the years -- its inspiring without breaking the bank -well done sir 👏
This was absolutely brilliant big man! well done to you Adrian.
You should get your father to tell his story as well.
One of the best vids on TH-cam. Your parents must be proud of you. You’ve do well and the farm is a credit to you and your family. Lovely to see the progress you all have made and the mark you all have made on the farm.
Fair play to you. Life waits for no one. It's all about moving forward or being left behind 🤔. And you have put the right foot forward great job. 👍.
Just catching this now Adrian, that is an amazing transformation and I’m not one bit surprised because you’re a serious grafter and an inspiration to us all. You’ve put that place in good stead for many generations to come . Well done 👊🏻💪🏻
Adrian what an amazing guy you are ,your farm is very tidy not like many farms you see, you certainly are a one man band ,and the part about family background just great. thank you.
Well done Adrian and fair play 👏 This video is very inspiring to me and other farmers around the country. Just shows that with some planning and hard work anything can be achieved 💪
As they say, "Rome wasn't built in a day". Thanks for making the great content.
Amazing to see where it all started and what you have made of it so far! A testimony to hard work paying off!
Inspirational Adrian, hard work and honesty pays off. All the best for 2022 and keep up the videos. Love them on a Sunday after breakfast.
Well done Adrian your an inspiration to both young and old. It just shows how hard work can pay off.
Great video again Adrian. It's great to see how much the farm has changed over the years. As for goin travelling and seeing other places, in the song The streets of New York the ould fella says to the son "maybe there's somethin' you'll learn, or you'll see
And you can bring it back home, make it easy on me". Just cos it was always done that way does mean it's the best way. You have made the yard work for you and fair play to ya.
Absolute brilliant video. you must be very proud of your achievements you have made. Well done sir.
Enjoyed that. I have a load of photo's of our own farm from around 10 years ago when my brother did his upgrade after he retired from playing rugby. Always nice to look back on. Keep the content coming.
Adrian brilliant is all i can say and a lovely mention of ur Mum and Dad, a lot of ur followers could relate to that as regards parents, keep up the great work in 2022,
Gerry.
Love seeing the development through the years, it’s shows the hard graft that goes on behind the scenes. Your parents should be rightly proud of what you and your family have achieved and will have to pass onto your own kids.
ADRIAN an absolutely excellent video as usual, the work ethic and
drive of both you and your father is just incredible want ye have achieved against all the odds is just unbelievable , others inherent big f
Dear Adrian- thank you for this walk down the history of your family’s farm. I am in awe of the personal effort and drive it’s taken to get to where you are today …..hard work and commitment rewarded
Always enjoy finding out the history of how a place has grown and yours is no exception. No matter what you do, rightly or wrongly there’s definitely satisfaction and achievement bringing a farm on from one generation to the next 👍
Well done Adrian fantastic video and was really touched by your decision not to knock down the shed your father built. You've a fabulous setup in your farm and the bonus that you had you were skilled to do most of the work yourself. Congratulations Adrian and all the health and happiness for the future and I know your parents are very proud of their son that is carrying on what they started.
Best comment in my opinion
Great video Adrian. A credit to you. Good to hear that your parents watch your videos. They must be proud of what ye all have achieved through honest hard work. Well done and keep up the good work.
What a sweet man you are. I hope you and your family have a great 2022.
Great video Adrian, the older generation sure worked hard and your keeping it going 100%.You ev great respect for your parent's, something that's really lacking in today's youth.
Wishing you continued success Adrian, much respect for your achievements to date.
Thought this would be a good place to leave my comment. I searched something about milking cows and yt recommended a video of yours. I have binge watched your channel last two days (lets see if I get this correct 2022-2-20) and I have fell in love with your channel. You make great vids and your farm is just amazing. You have a fellow friend in Wisconsin USA.
Thank you for sharing this video! Great to see how the farm has developed over the years.
Enjoyed the video Adrian.. your a good a example of a irish family farm as can be ..let's hope we never lose the ability to understand it doesn't take hundreds of cows to earn a living but more importantly to bring happiness wellbeing and contentment...
Brilliant video Adrian great to see the old photos and the progress you and you Dad have made over many years. So impressive how much is done by hand and what can be achieved if your willing to put the hard work in. You and your Dad have created a wonderful legacy for your girls. Wishing you every success in this new year and looking forward to seeing all the future projects you have in store. 💞🤗🍀
I haven’t worked on a farm for about 30 yrs but I always worked on family farms and you remind me very much of the people I worked for. You have done a great job and when you explain things it’s like being there whether it’s Ireland wales or England farming is the same job really keep up the good work. You have a great farm and keep the great videos coming. Thank you
Love watching your videos
Your a “down to earth” straight talker”
Very informative and entertaining
