    To stop small cattle getting out of the shed, we fix a 2inch steel tube to the gate with scaffolding couplers (they are a swivel head fixing for attaching stays to scaffolding) it's easy then to whip it off if we use the pen for bigger cattle.

    Tip I got years ago for pulling fine rope or balding twine through esb ducting was to attach a Hoover to one end of the ducting and tape up the other end of the ducting. Make a hole in the tape just big enough for the rope to go through, turn on the Hoover and it will pull through. 1 man job!! It worked for me anyway on 60 mergers of rope! Fine she'd and set up there Adrian

      Paul Finnegan yes my digger man knew that one but we have no power to plug anything in so unfortunately that could be done. Thanks for the tip though as it would of been so much easier than what we had to do 👍

    Just found your channel the other day and I have binged the entire build. That is absolutely top notch. You didn't skimp on anything and it shows. Wouldn't change a thing. Can't wait till you get the power up and running and get a few night shots. I'm an electrician lol

    A grand job that! As you know the best way to deal with crows is to ambush them. There are a two breeding pairs of buzzards around where l am now and a lot of crows have moved away as a result. Starlings are also big problem too but are protected, no idea why they are a pest! Keep up the good work!

    • @IFarmWeFarm
      @IFarmWeFarm  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      DingleZilla we have several pairs breeding Buzzards here to, they’ve really increased in numbers this last few years, but doesn’t seem to affect the Crows unfortunately. Thanks for watching 👍

    • @JonDingle
      @JonDingle 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IFarmWeFarm That's interesting. An occasional crow shoot it is then. In the past l have waited in ambush in the house to get them in the trees next to the house when they were lurking about. Crafty crows take some getting!

    • @markcorr6704
      @markcorr6704 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes have to agree the starlings are the biggest pest of all. Rats of the sky i call them. Every night i spend ages trying to frighten them away. Tried everything. They just keep coming back when you turn away. Can not figure out why they are protected. Shitting on cattle and feed and water throughs. Some flipping nuisance.

    • @JonDingle
      @JonDingle 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That's a fair tidy shed. Top class job you should be happy with that outcome. How do you get on feeding round bales on slats? Much bother with cattle pulling silage through blocking slats etc?

    • @IFarmWeFarm
      @IFarmWeFarm  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Craig Boyd Thanks lad, I found if you keep the bales out from the barrier and only throw back to the level of the timbers they don’t pull as much in
