OK, my husband thinks it's creepy, but I adore this channel. If anyone wants a crash course on Hollywood and historic figures from literature, politics, etc. this is the place.
I think this channel is an even better way to remember those who have passed and show them respect and honor their memories. I know some of these actors / voice actors I just didn't know when some of them had already passed away. They have created such great story's with their acting , Voice acting etc. I LOVE this channel and the history of each and every person , Its so interesting! ♥
I don't think its creepy? Its like history! More than likely you knew the person passed on. I find it very interesting to learn a little about him, where his or hers final resting place is and how the person p[assed! Very interesting. Lots of them passed on not so old. The thing is. I know every person that is buried in this cemetery, is not there! There body is but not the person. They left that body the instant they passed on to their "new" life in Paradise. like " *Jesus* " said to Mary when she went to Our Lords burial spot. " _Why do you look for the Living among the Dead?_ *Jesus is not here* ..✝✝💒⛪ 🎄🎅🏿❤
Loved this! I have watched the Grinch every year for 55 years now. And, in the 90s, I worked with Thurl Ravenscroft who sang the theme song. He was such a dear man.
Jane here. I wish they had kept St. Nicolas' day on Dec 6, and turned it into Santa's day with all the fun that comes with him, because sometimes I feel that the birth of the Savior gets forgotten on Christmas. I agree with you that George C. Scott's Scrooge is the best. Lionel Barrymore is such an incredible actor. He played that miserable character in "Its a Wonderful Life", and yet played the beloved grampa in "You Can't Take It With You". For me, Jesus is my bright shining star. Merry Christmas to you all. And thanks for another great informative Video.
I had the honor of contributing the video for jingle bells writer James pierpont. I’ve loved this channel since the beginning, thanks for the opportunity Arthur!
Just love the way you take a theme then make it irresistible. You entertain us and educate us so wonderfully at the same time. I remember seeing "White Christmas" with my grandmother. I adored the amazing colours, the wonderful songs and got caught up in the romance.of it all. Whenever I hear Bing Crosby sing, I can picture my gran and me walking hand in hand to the cinema. I loved her dearly, and it's a beautiful reminder of our wonderfully close relationship.

@@helencheadle5285 I think Alister Sims was fine. I guess I don’t like the way it ended. What with all the toys and stuff. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Coventry, England. Arthur, releasing this video tonight has made me full of seasonal joy in memory of such well-loved performers. I think you are unique for the unusual reason that you seem to be the only American in the media that can pronounce tricky English place names. What can I say other than seeing this latest installment brought back a lot of memories from childhood when we watched these movies and Christmas Specials on television. Thanks Arthur!
My absolute favorite movie version of A Christmas Carol starred Reginald Owen and the Lockhart family., made in 1938. I also love the TV version starring Mr. Magoo (voiced by Jim Backus).
The Lockharts were wonderful in their Christmas Carol movie but I think the best Scrooge movie stars the very interesting Scottish actor, Allistair Sims. He just IS Ebenezer. And, at my number 2, I totally agree with you is Mr. Magoo's version, with the voice of Jim Backus. The emotions and the themes are all there and the music score is absolutely fantastic. The ballad performed by Ebenezer's lost love is hauntingly beautiful and never fails to bring tears to my eyes. Unfortunately, many of the recordings of this classic are out of order and/or missing scenes. They are still worth watching. And, I so miss the variety shows that always had a Christmas themed show or special, many of their stars mentioned in this video - Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, Perry Como, Nat King Cole.
You have never walked through a cemetary and wondered what a person was like or what kind of life they had? I started a long time ago because of going to graveyards as a kid with my great grandparents to put flowers on family graves. My sister and I will drive through cemateries we pass if a gravestone catches our eye. It is how we found the grave of Daniel Boone in Frankfort, KY.

I don't think Arthur Dark sleeps. He just keeps making absolutely fantastic videos. I can think of no better way to spend Christmas than to enjoy such a wonderfully entertaining and educational video. Thank you, Arthur, for sharing your talent with the world and enriching our lives. Merry Christmas.
🎄🎄Merry Christmas!!!🎄🎄
All the best from Australia
That was so wonderful.... Some I knew. Some I didn't.... Thank you for that treat. Everyone should think about the people who contributed to your Christmas experience !!!! Love you all 💞💞💞
Glad to finally "meet" Guiseppe! Merry Christmas, Arthur!
What can I say other than seeing this latest installment brought back a lot of memories from childhood when we watched these movies and Christmas Specials on television. Thanks Arthur!
What a great Christmas 🎁
Thomas Mitchell also played Scarlett's father on "Gone With the Wind".
As always Arthur, you have transformed the ultimate right of passage into a wonderful art form. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
@@marthawelch4289 Yes, she sang Winter Was Warm. Lots of good music. As a child I was very touched by I'm all Alone in the World.
I used to run like hell when my parents would watch the old one ( a Christmas Carole

Little drummer boy is my favorite Christmas song and polar express with Tom Hanks
What a pleasant surprise for Christmas. thank you.
Happy Christmas from New Zealand.
Another wonderful and nostalgic video.
Who ever thought hearing about funerals is entertaining to listen to
You have never walked through a cemetary and wondered what a person was like or what kind of life they had? I started a long time ago because of going to graveyards as a kid with my great grandparents to put flowers on family graves. My sister and I will drive through cemateries we pass if a gravestone catches our eye. It is how we found the grave of Daniel Boone in Frankfort, KY.
Not the funerals...the people
Goodbye October and hello November I am so excited for Christmas
U, sir, are doing a great job on these. Merry Christmas, everyone.
What a wonderful Christmas gift. My favorite Scrooge starring Alastair Sim, made in 1951. Thank you so much for sharing. ✨✨

What a wonderful present for us fans. Merry Christmas!
Yes one of my ideas came to fruition! (Watch the Forest lawn #5 video) granted I wasn't the only one with that idea, but still
Christmas story is my favorite of all time
Cold nights...time to pull the bedclothes over you with ghost stories and fantasy! Perhaps two radio play ghost stories I’ve produced AND a brand new mystery listed on my channel “Claude Chabot Presents” right here on YT AND a radio fantasy comedy, “A Trip to the Moon” starring Joyce Randolph of The Honeymooners, which features Larry Robinson, who, as a child actor, actually worked with Orson Welles. Here’s the link: th-cam.com/video/Hex2ltykNTM/w-d-xo.html--Claud. If you don’t want to click the link just search “Claude Chabot presents” on TH-cam.

Well done as always Mr. Dark👏🏻
Sorry, but I think the best version is the 1951 movie "Scrooge" starring Alistair Sims as Scrooge! The best!
I agree Sim is scrooge
Da Blonde... Check out the Henry Winkler version, that is the one I watch every year.
George C. Scott was the absolute best Scrooge ever hands down.
Yep, I totally agree. I watch it every Christmas eve.
Awesome work as always Arthur
Wishing you a very merry Christmas Hollywood graveyard.
