16:50--Imie Lane (Camelli), who was one of the Round 2 impostors, went on to become a mainstay of the Goodson-Todman staff, usually in an associate producer or contestant/talent coordinator capacity, on such productions as "Beat the Clock", "Password Plus", "Card Sharks", and, in a brief run as researcher, the syndicated "To Tell the Truth".
And judging by the opening, Hal Simms, by now announcing G-T sister show, _What's My Line_ , returned as substitute announcer for Bern Bennett. He previously subbed for Bern in July of 1957.
Love Betty White she's so silly 😊
the second game...what fun. :-D
Always enjoyed Tom Piston humor
NB There are *no* street names in Tokyo and most other Japanese cities. The Ginza and a few other "streets" are just districts--mostly given names for the benefit of foreign tourists. If you ask *anyone* in Tokyo what "street" he/she lives on, they would not be able to answer. (For purposes of delivering mail, there is a district division that is hard to explain to people who have never lived here.)
How do you tell some your "address" - where you live?
@@elliebellie7816 Well, here’s the address of a dermatologists’ clinic whose doctors speak English. As you can see, it starts off with the name of the building, then the number and district in which it can be found, the Prefecture (Tokyo is a prefecture, not a city)-and finally the postal code. (For some reason, the Japanese love the English word “precious”-which they have misspelled here!) Notice the absence of any street name.

Thank you so much for posting this! I have 16mm footage of Suzy Hoshi winning that table tennis championship. So fun to see her in this setting.
Betty White is such a cutie!
I find myself so attracted to Tom Poston in these videos.
lol, Carlisle asking "what is a sampan?"....Obviously had no idea it's Chinese and not Japanese.
There are brighter bulbs than Ms. Carlisle.
Kitty seemed a tad bit more prickly and less gracious than I'm used to seeing. She threw a small tantrum (but got her way!)
They finally told the panel to stop talking and asked more questions because the audience couldn't play at home, and you can see they shut their stupid chatter and asked lots more questions starting in 1960.
The panel had a bad night. It was great to have Betty White on the panel. Ralph Bellamy did a fine job as a policeman in the original Wolfman.
The real prison warden had a Mass accent so I was sure it was him.
2nd segment was great even if a few of the questions were "frightfully" lame
Aren't the hosts SUPPOSED to be lame? haha (Count Floyd 👻oooo!)
18:24 “Hoshi” means “star” in Japanese. I know ‘cause “Hoshi no Kaabii” is the Japanese name of Kirby.
Celebrity Guests:
1. Betty White
2. Ralph Bellamy
3. Kitty Carlisle
4. Tom Poston
Host:
Bud Collyer
I didn't use Arrid today. I'm only half safe (sniff!).
I like #3 much better with her makeup on
Is there a movie made on the prison break story?
This was telecast the day I turned 7 years old!
I knew there was a special reason.
Would someone tell where POLLY is?! I love Betty White, but WHERE IS POLLY?!
Hopefully gone for good. So annoying with her attention seeking antics
From the final comment, it siunds like Polly had been getting a new Broadway show together--maybe they had been in out-of-town previews.
Tom Postman.
Suzanne Plechettes husband
Poston
Can you even imagine being tied up and gasoline being poured on you...GEEZ!
Why would a warden in Massachusetts prison be expected to know who the warden was of a California prison?
Colleagues in the same kind of organisation.
Betty will live to 156
She didn’t even make it to 100
@jackchen7003 she's past that and heading for 200.
Man #1 in Game #1
Man #2 in Game #2
Lady #3 in Game #3
Please remove this troll from the comments section
Betty White was in her 60s back then! lol ;)
They should have replaced that lame horror host with # 1. She was quite knowledgeable about the films
cough cough...lung Cancer !
I think it's their manifest decision, albeit better than being a fat slob. Maybe comment on that for their health.
It unusual for me to have THREE comments on the same game lol. This a family show. The second game should NOT have been on there. I watched it, but as a Christian especially, GROSSE!!!
Since Ralph Bellamy was in The Wolfman, it made for a fun segment--and well within the show's frequently featuring entertainers. These are American classics!
Lighten up, honey. It was FUN!
We must have really been desperate for tv
3 channels and this was on for 12 years.
Bendavision- not funny….. you weren’t there. Take your post modern 21st century judgment elsewhere.
