I noticed the rubber badges coming loose within a couple of days on the display models at my local supercheap auto. It was one of those things where it instantly made me think the tools were more cheaply made than they probably were based off of your review.
The grinder itself shows that they are aiming at DIY home level. As it wouldnt be aloud on alot of work sites having the button that locks the power on with no dead man switch
In my opinion, for these kincrome tools to do well they need to be competitive with the cheaper brands (ie Ryobi) not the mid level... its going to be a hard sell for them i think, but in saying that i think they are aimed at the weekend warrior not trade professionals.
That grinder was piss weak.. even sounds slow.
That need to work on there ramp speed with all tools in the video.
Old school type blower.??
Why not hit the market with a small blower through blower and surprise people with quality?
Interesting. I wander how they will compare to the Makita xgt, Milwaukee or Hilti tools. I have the Makita xgt range mostly because of the amount of other tools that are available on the platform e.g. the mowers and outdoor range
I think its good that if you are an early adopter and register that you can get a lifetime warranty (obviously subject to their terms an conditions). Only time will tell how good they are. Generally, I find most generation 1 of tools will have their issues to be ironed out, hopefully by the second generation. Good if your tight on money and need some cheaper tools.
Reminds me of when battery tools first come out in the early 2000's, my old man used to use a battery rattle gun and drill from Panasonic, they were good at the time, he still has them in my grandfathers old shed and they still work, just not as good as they used to of course.
0:39 (intense close up.) Did you use a filter on your eyes to match the packaging?
I would love to see how the drill and the impact go on paddle bits/speed bores
They have been in the tool game they did a drill torch and impact wrench in nicad and it was Kincrome branded
I don't want to take anything away from another great video, but what are those ceiling fans and do you like them?
The Normal Drill driver was pretty Good, not so convinced with Grinder to be honest..
If the impact Driver was a little smaller like the Makita or AEG i would be Happy to buy it but this First version is reminding me of the old huge brush Impacts.
The Battery holder is a good idea.
Sure is. Glad to see them coming with the batteries
Agreed should be an industry standard, I 3D print my own.
Will they survive a slip off a house roof onto a concrete path? My Bosch Teck drill did.
Mate I thought about that. I’ll probably do a few more things and test the drop test as I do the same thing all the time with my tools. I don’t think they say they are drop resistant though.
How’s the grinding sparks embedded into the tiles going?
He's a sparky, got plenty of money. Just retile it mate 😅
Hey matty, nice review. Just curious what the weight is compared to other manufactures.
Hey mate. Impact driver and hammer drill is around 100g heavier than an aeg or makita 40v. 50g lighter than hikoki
Need a few trips off the roof
Perplexing how it outperformed the 40v. Maybe because the makita is a gen 1 tool on a brand new platform?
Makita is well known for weak impacts, faster in reverse too. They excel in ergonomics, function and longevity though.
Any updates on the reno ?
Good review.. all these tools come out of the same factory’s in China regardless of the brand. So they are all a standard.
good to see a stand out colour
Dude what’s the big event going to be for 100k subscribers? Can’t be to far away now 🎉 🥳
Hey mate, I’m not fully sure but we have some big moves coming up for myself so it may tie into that. I’ll definitely keep up with the updates and I’ll be a lot more active on TH-cam after this month. Cheers for brining it up as I hadn’t really thought about it
Can you do a review on the katana power tool set. They made by kinchrome
I am guessing Kinchrome have just rebranded the Katana to Kinchrome
They are new to the cordless game and it’s always good to get more competition. Going with an opening lifetime warranty and 5 year beyond is an awesome move.
Where do you see them compared to brands like ozito, or possibly ryobi?
Bosch have a 3 piece kit, 2x 5 ah Batteries and charger. $579 at TT right now. Combo driver chuck also. Longer warranty too. So why?
The grinder seems not the best. Compare pricing to Bosch. 6 year warranty. Often on special as well.
What about katana by kincrome?
Was that just development before they put there name on it.
They giving me Ryobi vibes 🤷🏻♂️
I fear it's worse than ryobi, they look like temu tools
Ryobi shits all over that crap!
Skins looks like they'd feel like Ozito ones.
Surprising about no deadman switch/paddle switch as I thought it was a requirement for all new tools to have? I know most construction sites won’t allow non-deadman switch grinders now
I don’t believe it’s an overall requirement but definitely something needed on a lot of sites.
That's false, side switch grinders are aloud everywhere that isn't union or mining based. Use them everyday, paddle switch are dangerous because you sacrifice dexterity and stability for the paddle bitch nonsense
@@SH19922x I disagree around sacrificing dexterity and stability of them. I use a paddle switch grinder quite often for all types of work and can comfortably use at many different angles. I actually prefer it over side switches I’ve used in the past. But everyone is different
@@AddictedtoTools ah yup cheers for that. Can’t remember where I had heard it but yeah definitely have only seen paddles on grinders here across the ditch on the sites I’ve been on
@@Mad_Moo_MacI'm a boily and use them all day every day, I and 99% of others in my trade can't stand them and the only time I've ever had a whiff of hard kickback to the face was from using bitch switches, the button/trigger style from dewalt is the only other style besides side switch I'll use. I haven't been in the mines for 8 years so it's all different there can't say for sure
I'm a part-time weekend warrior, I love my AEG tools and wouldn't part with them!
even if you go on pricing alone its not good, hikoki has the same kit at the moment with more amp hours at the same price and redemption for two more 5ah batteries, its just another compony getting a white label manufacture to make tools for them. nothing new nothing special. the lifetime warranty isnt even good, the terms and conditions of it will allow them to worm out of most claims. stick to well established brands for power tools.
Wouldnt be caught dead with one of these
Whys that mate?
Rebranded Aldi tools
Good way to destroy a quality brand. Kincrome has always been a solid but i dont understand the point adding crap to an already flooded market.
It was the screw spinning due lack of grip in end grain not the drill
Hey mate. Which part are you referring to?
@@AddictedtoTools Think hes referring to the XGT not sinking the screw. I noticed that too, looked as if it was spinning and had stripped out, instead of not being able to sink the head.
Ahh ok. Na with the XGT the bit isn’t turning. I’ve done comparisons in the past and the makita didn’t perform that well unfortunately
@@AddictedtoTools dam, the Makita fan boy in me is disappointed
Trust me, I was super disappointed and also surprised. I felt that it was extremely strong. I believe the rpms are faster which gave it that feeling. But it underperforms on these tests as it has a lower top nm. Still my favourite look and feel drill.
If kincrome power tools werent good that would be surprising because even there shittiest tooling is still fairly good, they either wont sell quite as well to tradies because they look like kings gear
They look meaty too which is the biggest war tactic for default, makita, milwaukee is to get them lighter and sleeker whilst still having that awesome tool abs plastic or whatever they use now
Grinder didn't seem too great
Definetly disappointed in another step but that doesn’t go to 32mm. Being an Aussie tool company I’d like to see that.
Couldn’t agree more mate. I’m not sure why they do it. Bought the Milwaukee kit and didn’t check
A bit too pricy for me as a new tool should be half the price as a intro to get some market share
Blue ozito’s… or worse.. either way if you want budget gear just buy Ryobi and get a much greater range of tools at a better price
If you look carefully at the grip pattern on the heat gun it is exactly the same as the Ozito 18v unit, same specs as well.
Who actually makes them?
Hey mate. In what way do you mean?
@@AddictedtoTools they are obviously whitelabeled. who does it
@@AddictedtoTools bit like tti industries and milwaukee and ryobi etc or stanley black and decker with dewalt
Im not hating im just curious
@@AddictedtoTools like a parent company i guess
Id be ecstatic if they were actually australian
Thanks for the clarification. From what I know kincrome is Australian owned. They don’t have a parent company that owns them.
2:46 “they don’t have high end feel” yet you are a Milwaukee user 😂
Milwaukee literally outperforms reliably outperforms other brands, consistently in tests, or are you referring solely to appearance or ergonomics?
@@mukoshh - He is also a Milwaukee user. So how would he know what a tool with a "high end feel" feels like 🤣
They are 100% aimed at the DIY/Home user at that price point.
But they are still just a rebranded Chinese brand
Hey mate, thanks for the feedback. Why do you come to this conclusion though?
Competing with Ryobj pretty much shit
The plastics look like lowes house brand kobalt and not just the color. I expressly choose not to get anything that may not br around in a year battery platform or jobsite storage system. I never wanted to be that guy that now can't find batteries or has tools that the company dosent exist. Light duty day to day m12 will be around till the cows come home.
Think I’ll stick to kincrome for hand tools these look like shit
Need to get a better microphone bro, sounds muffled and tinny
Thanks mate. I have the DJI mic 2. What microphone do you recommend?
@@AddictedtoTools sorry bro thats out of my spec i dont make content, enjoy your content just found whatever is different about your microphone this time, isnt great sound quality
Sorry dude, you did not convince me, like anything brand new, time will tell
Couldn’t agree more mate. Early days at the moment, so it will be interesting to see where they go. Can I ask though. Does it come across as though I’m trying to convince people to buy it?
Yes, it seems you are trying for it to be good.
That’s interesting. I appreciate the feedback. Could I ask in what parts it sounds like this. The point of these videos is to show the tools in action and compare them to others and give my own opinions on it. I want to give the facts and let the viewer make up their mind. So any feedback is great.
@@AddictedtoTools Interesting, it is nice to see comparisons. It would have been extra nice to see if the Kinchrome or AEG would have moved the screw that stuck for the Makita, wood being variable and all.
I mean, you are doing a product review that I figure they’ve paid you to do. So Ofcorse it’s going to be a certain way.
To expensive to be mid tier tool
Rubbish stuff kinchrome. Stick to tools and tools only
