Looking at the amount of top tier premiums in your avg high tier game I don't see that happening anytime soon. People way to happy to throw away 70$ just to skip right to high tier.
But if they sold shit for 35 dollars they 1 would not be near as good or have as much effort put in, and 2 there would never be any sales ever because if you're doing that much for 35 then a half off event means people are gonna have to start taking turns running the server hamster wheel.

@7:30 Where the JDAM's shine in Air RB is with bombing static ground targets. From high altitude you can target as many as ten points with a high level of reliability while spending very little time focusing on the target. With a little practice it's a nice option to have.
A fun thing I have been doing in the AV-8B (NA) Is have the TGP (Targeting Pod) mounted in all of my current loadouts. Even ones that don't need it. because, like the AV-8B Plus and it's Radar or TGP, if you manage to stabilize the Pod's sight on a target, it will give the gun a lead reticle when you get in range. Making it really useful in a dogfight if you manage to lock the pod on your opponent. PS: Yes it does have a built in Camera on the Nose like the Plus and GR.7 Harriers which makes it useful to drop JDAMs or AGM-65s from a distance, but it doesn't lock onto targets like the separate Targeting Pod can.
All around solid review for this jet Lee. Awsome! It's definitely better for Ground by Air battles it's not the worst jet there. I hope Gaijin adds the upgraded NA in the future which is capable of carrying the laser JDAMS and 9M's.

2:45 When launching bombs, i have found that using the ripple set is best for ccrp, just not continuous because you are put into a tracking camera almost instantly and can get hit by one of your own bombs or change their trajectory
I know most people play RB but this is great for SIM. Anything with JDAMs is great for grinding in Sim because of the AI ground battles with stationary trargets.

Gaijin really need to tone down their premium price if they want a more stable purchases over all 4 quarters. The sale price is the perfect price of it because let's be real that's the price that other game capped their price.

The 11.3 lineup is crazy now. M1 abrams x3 (AIM, Clickbait and HC), AGS, HSTV-L, AH-1Z, Harrier and the only thing lacking is a dedicated SPAA. But you won't need it. Harrier and Cobra are good against airborne targets already and the HSTV-L got proxy rounds and an IRST tracker. The abramses get the proxy rounds too but they are only good against helis and bad cas players. I love this lineup so much and the harrier is amazing for cas with the 2 mavs and 6 lgb loadout
Just note: when the sales do go on towards the end of this year all the new packs that came in the DoD update won't be for sale, so do note that. Still just wait for when they do go on sale just not for these up coming sales
The ground BR is jacked up and is only put at 11.3 to milk the click bait cows to buy a top tier CAS plane to bring into GRB….it has the same ground kit as the B plus and sits at a much lower BR. I wouldn’t be surprised they put this plane in the game because I am sure they saw a huge uptick it people buying the Su39 for CAS during the summer sale of people who got the T80UE-1
Seems like decent premium; not that I need it, since I already bought the A6 and the A10 on previous sales for the US tree and I was already at rank 7 by the time I got those. But compared to other 11.3 premiums I have ( Tornado, AMX A1A, F-4EJ) this seems to be one of, if not the best, specially if I have to compare it to the British squadron Harrier too (also 11.3 now).
One reminder for alot of people thinking about getting this for ground battles. While being 11.3 and being able to avoid those really strong 11.7 AA systems (looking at you Pantsir) Alot of the time you will Require a full downtier in order to do anything close to a ground pounding roll since the jump in AA power from 11.3 to 11.7 is staggering. So while it will be your Best 11.3 Air to ground strike aircraft Unless your in a full downtier dont have your expectations to high in getting anymore then a kill or two on average (since a pantsir will KO you upon spawn)
Jdams are great for spaas, most pantsirs don’t move so you can mark your point and come back from out of sight and lob them onto them without risking getting shot down

I played the new harrier a bit, I love it, but then again I also enjoyed the AV-8C quite a lot beforehand, I am currently using the new harrier to grind the AV-8B+ and I personally love to stall people out and just laugh as I point my nose at them like I'm LARPing as a raptor. Also, JDAM's are lovely, their only flaws are their inability to track targets, and their lackluster maneuverability, but they make up by being fire and forget making them perfect for tossing at SAMs or just having a dumb bomb that is a little less dumb.
Jdam‘s are very useful in air rb ec when you’re attacking one of the frontlines, cause these targets stand still. And you can drop all 10 jdam‘s in a short time without getting close to AA like the shilkas or Gepards.
Kind of confusing how a night attack version of an aircraft doesn't have radar, but ig night fighting doctrine has changed drastically in the last 80 years
i personally think that gaijin did the best they could with this jet, ofc having it in TT would be way better, but i guess they want some of that $$$, but not giving it Aim9M's its the best decision they could ever do. For example look at the Harrier GR7, its at br of 12.3, and its only because it gets 9m's and BOL pods, whole 1.0 br higher, in sim (my main gamemode) its quite bad that it is 12.3 because there is no 12.3 days, so you dont have "good brackets" for it, but being 11.3 you can have a "good bracket" (the one where you are top br.) i also hope they add an av8b (not +) to italy, in form of a tech tree, or squadron TAV-8B (two seater AV8B, had ability to fire both 120's and 9M's but i hope they only give it 9L's)
Just going to hop i to say. Its going be a great grinder in air sim. Those jdams are amazing. At that br the a2a is mostly witj fox2s and its going to get a crazy number of sorties out. Absolutely useful actions monster.
@@JRH51005 I think it will be really good yeah. If you are experienced in sim and need to grind out the usa tt, you can be done with it in a week if you play well. Lot of variables involved such as the skill of the enemy team, how many other ground attackers are in your team etc etc. If the performance of the 8B plus is any indicator in sim, then the jdams basically guarantee you get max useful actions every 15 minutes. It's fast too and you can get a base with 8 jdams if you don't find a pitched battle. So yeah it's going to be great

Funniest thing to do with guided bomb harriers. Is to go high above the battlefield. Go into VTOL. And just drop bombs on people. Sometimes the bombs wont track. But the higher up you are, the more correction time the bombs have to adjust to the target.

One thing to mention about harriers is you cannot carry. If anyone competent on the enemy team is alive they will kill you in a 1v1 easily. also unless its been fixed harriers are incredible hot planes due to gaijin assuming the 4 VTOL vents = 4 engines = HOT AS FUCK. makes it very hard to flare and very frustrating. Having played brit harriers these things are only good in GRB and I do not recommend playing them in ARB.
yeah I don't think they fixed the engine issue, I think gaijin knows that the harrier only has one engine but its broken because of how exhaust is modeled in game. it is painful watching an R-60M eat up flares like its an aim-9m and still kill me
To put some perspective: DCS planes are developed for solid 3-5 years each, including laser - scanning entire planes and cockpits, researching all legally avaliable data on a plane, and fully modeling most of plane's systems, excluding some still secret systems like ECM and IFF. Those digital planes cost 50 to 80 bucks. Compare that to WT 70 dollars "new" plane

howdy, i just got back into WT after a break and i saw that a lot of the plane BRs got changed and i was thinking of buying a premium jet either the Russian 23ML, JA35XS or J7D but i'm not sure which of these are good or bad since i haven't played much and don't want to get a plane that will just give me cancer when i play it if anyone got some points that might help i would highly appreciate it cheers:)

Ok hear me out. Harrier GR.7 12.0 GRB and 12.3 ARB. Less capable as a strike aircraft than the AV-8B (NA) Also A-10C 11.3 ARB and 12.0 GRB. I think the GR7 should come down to a 11.7 maybe even 11.3 GRB. A10C should be 11.7 GRB and move it to 12.0 ARB since it’s clapping everything right now at its current stage. AV-8B (NA) Should be 11.7 GRB and 11.3 or 11.7 ARB Missiles on the strike aircraft is whats creating the issues of balance, mixed with it ground capability. Side note F4F KWS LV is 11.7 with fox3s for GRB. Now look at the balance again. Shit is seriously in a fucked up state.

It has been a long time since I looked it up, but the F-35A is the only one with an internal gun, the other two can take it in a gunpod.
the jdams are quite good to take out light pillboxes specially in a downtier, you can kill 10 of them without any issues
They would sell this Harrier for 50% after it passed 2 major updates, so no price cut this year anniversary :)

I bought it, however, they wont put this on sale for a while. Its well worth the price given its versatility in SL generation
put the thrust vector between %25 - %30, and you'll have better low speed flight maneuverability

i have a issue the thing is i have some money to waste or spend and i really want this thing cuz i love my harriers alot and i dont have the top tier harriers yet i have the premiums to grind them but i dont really play the game all that much to grind the entire us strike tree i also have the clickbait and im thinking this could be fun to have in ground rb with my clickbait and i might actually get into the ground aspect of the us tech tree because of it but i would like to know should i buy it in this situation or not please let me know
One thing to mention about harriers is you cannot carry. If anyone competent on the enemy team is alive they will kill you in a 1v1 easily. also unless its been fixed harriers are incredible hot planes due to gaijin assuming the 4 VTOL vents = 4 engines = HOT AS FUCK. makes it very hard to flare and very frustrating. Having played brit harriers these things are only good in GRB and I do not recommend playing them in ARB.
yeah I don't think they fixed the engine issue, I think gaijin knows that the harrier only has one engine but its broken because of how exhaust is modeled in game. it is painful watching an R-60M eat up flares like its an aim-9m and still kill me

To put some perspective: DCS planes are developed for solid 3-5 years each, including laser - scanning entire planes and cockpits, researching all legally avaliable data on a plane, and fully modeling most of plane's systems, excluding some still secret systems like ECM and IFF.
Those digital planes cost 50 to 80 bucks. Compare that to WT 70 dollars "new" plane
this thing cost $110 AUD, which is more expensive then a AAA game....Space Marine 2 was $80 AUD

I can’t stand the 11.3 harriers. The sea harrier after the battle rating changes is nearly unplayable, I imagine this feels similar.

howdy, i just got back into WT after a break and i saw that a lot of the plane BRs got changed and i was thinking of buying a premium jet either the Russian 23ML, JA35XS or J7D but i'm not sure which of these are good or bad since i haven't played much and don't want to get a plane that will just give me cancer when i play it
if anyone got some points that might help i would highly appreciate it

Ok hear me out. Harrier GR.7 12.0 GRB and 12.3 ARB. Less capable as a strike aircraft than the AV-8B (NA)
Also A-10C 11.3 ARB and 12.0 GRB.
I think the GR7 should come down to a 11.7 maybe even 11.3 GRB.
A10C should be 11.7 GRB and move it to 12.0 ARB since it’s clapping everything right now at its current stage.
AV-8B (NA) Should be 11.7 GRB and 11.3 or 11.7 ARB
Missiles on the strike aircraft is whats creating the issues of balance, mixed with it ground capability.
Side note F4F KWS LV is 11.7 with fox3s for GRB. Now look at the balance again. Shit is seriously in a fucked up state.
