Thanks. The group set is Dura Ace mechanical 11 speed. The upgraded wheels are from a local shop that builds their own wheels but the hubs are DT Swiss. I can’t remember the number right now on the hub. Will have to look later when I get home. The bars and stem are both carbon and made by Cervelo. The seat is Fizik Arione.
I love this frame and the ride feel. Around here, rim brakes are fine as well don’t have massive descents. If I were in the alps I would still use this bike but with aluminum wheels as the Dura Ace rim brakes on aluminum wheels have excellent stopping power. Let me know when you build up the new bike and please share some photos. Is it an R3 frame?
@@theBFactor when I made this video I was 160lbs. This year I am 170lbs. But have been doing weights and running more. So more mass. I like the lower air pressure but can still get these up to 70-80psi if needed. I did a few rides this year at pressures closer to 70psi and the bike was faster.
I'm very UNHAPPY with my Cervelo R5 from a quality perspective. My bike is 2 years old. I have already replaced the bottom bracket, and the steering tube bearings. NOW, the screw holes that hold the brake calipers to the front fork have rotted away. The caliper can't be attached to the bike anymore. Cervelo claims this is 'Normal wear and tear' and won't stand behind their product. If your bike is ever going to get wet, I wouldn't buy Cervelo. Cheap quality. Poor support.
Ugh, so frustrating! I think I got my Cervelo from an era when the quality was still really good. Have you heard of Hambini? He did a series on poor quality Cervelo frames a few years ago showing some frames have oval bb that are not aligned etc. He has a BB design that compensates for poor quality frames. I have over 30,000 km on this bike and it has been bomb proof for me. I replaced the BB once as it needed it, and the headset bearings once just as a preventative measure. I am shocked Cervelo isn’t trying to rectify the situation. My local bike shop sells Cervelo, Santa Cruz, Norco etc and they have always been good at helping their clients with warranty issues but if the manufacturer says normal wear and tear that’s just bad for everyone. How many km do you have on the bike?
You're a natural at shooting these videos, Gene! Bravo!
Thanks Robert!
Nice Bike, what’s your handle bar and stem setup on this bike?
I am using the Cervelo Bars and Stem that came with the bike. Both carbon. Stem is 110mm and the bars are 42 cm wide.
Btw, thanks. Do you also have a Cervelo?
Thanks for the awesome video! I have a 2015 r3 and looking to upgrade the wheelset. Can u pls tell me the parts that you have? Thanks

I am not Cervelo but sounds like they should give you a replacement fork at least.
I'm looking at one for 2200 right now
That’s a great price. If the frame is solid jump on the offer. I love love love this bike!
@@GeneVilleneuve yeah I'm so excited I'm doing the boro soon and I wanna take it there
