This video marks the end of the 2021 backlog of vlogs I've been uploading over the last few weeks. The good news is that I'm now pretty much up to date again. In just a couple of days time I'll be posting my first video from a new country and continent in 2022, so stay tuned. Likes and comments are as always, much appreciated. See you soon!
When I think of the kingdom of Jordan 🇯🇴 I think of the Bible, when our matriarch Abraham left his land of Mesopotamia modern day Iraq 🇮🇶 to the land promised by God to him, the tribe of his nephew Lot and the tribe of Abraham were nearly about to kill each other over their herds food, and Abraham decided that Lot would choose were him, his wife and children and their tribe in which direction they will go and so Lot headed east into the land of Moab across the river Jordan which is now modern day Jordan 🇯🇴 and also king David's grandmother was a Moabite woman. A lot of people in the west don't know that how surprising how many people in the kingdom speak fluent English and that the late kingdom Hussein married an English woman his son King Abdullah is half English half Jordanian. Anyways thanks for the video 📹, stay blessed my friend.
I'd say, from the looks of it, it's definitely a place I would visit ! I'd be surprised if it isn't a tourist destination for Jordanians ! It's so adorable. Nice discovery 👍
Right this is truly picaresque city just straight outta novels. This is more like Arabian nights city than Saudi Arabia, the city view was very eye soothing and peaceful. I can't wait to see your next trips now I'm more eager to watch your videos. Thank you always for showing every places with beautiful descriptions. 💕🇮🇳💕
Enjoyed your Jordan trip very much! Yes, although I wish you do a second trip to Jordan some day! Many other places like The Quiet UNESCO heritage town of Madaba full of Byzantine churches with EXQUISITE MOSAICS, buried ancient Roman temples, Mt Nebo, Ancient Girasa ( one of the best preserved Roman towns) built by emperor Hadrian, Aqaba, The Dead Sea, ......all are very well deserving sights in Jordan. You will see them I’m sure!
I was thinking the same thing. I can't believe he was so close to Jerash and Aqaba and didn't visit either of them. Those places are far more interesting than this As-Salt city. I see nothing underrated here. He also missed a lot of stuff in Wadi Rum, and had a little bit of bad weather, and the poor lighting didn't show the Treasury in all its glory. He 100% needs to revisit Jordan. lol I love his content, and I know everyone has their own style, but sometimes I wish he would spend more time in one place and cover it thoroughly, instead of just spending a few days here and there. 30 days in Kenya, but only a few days in Jordan? Jordan is far more interesting than Kenya.
@@briantravelman exactly! Madaba, Jerash, Mt Nebo, Dead Sea, Um Quais.....Lawrence of Arabia famous train attack location......so much he missed! I spent 10 days, and still could not see many Desert castles! Jordan is so rich in Early Christian, and Byzantine history! Definitely a true traveler should not miss those sites.
My thoughts exactly, and there are so many FUN tour guides here - you really missed out on the WARM & FRIENDLY HOSPITABLE PERSONALITY of the Jordanian people. The gulf of Aqaba region has a lot of chill beauty and venues to offer besides diving. The real Mt Sinai is not far south in Saudi and Petra is the real "Mecca." Moses and children of Israel crossed over at Nuweiba beach on the Egyptian side & chariot wheels covered in coral there as well as Solomon's pillars on eithr side. You MUST come back again ater researching these things &; >
I remember you saying you were not sure if you could fit Salt in so glad you did. It looks amazing from what I've seen of it on the net. I know currently you're in Kenya, hope you can also go to Sudan. It will perfect weather wise this time of year.
I enjoyed your walk around Salt, which i visited on a day tip in September Pity i never discovered that rooftop cafe By the way i was working in Amman 77-81 and watched the Marriot hotel being constructed. Keep up the good work.
One of the most beautiful travel channels is your channel for me.. as usual a fun and beautiful video.. we are always waiting for your videos... Keep going 🙋🏻♀️
Thank you for this interesting and fascinating video. Well done! I had Jordanian friends years ago so this is very special to my heart. Loved the hotel suite! Cheers! 🌺🌺
Thanks for the suggestions. I met a few locals in Amman, though the last few videos from Petra and Wadi Rum were more of a touristy nature. But I'll try to push it more in future vlogs.
As-Salt looks quite interesting, Jason. Now that you're back in the UK I hope you get a good rest (and another martini or two) as you plan your next adventures. We can't wait to learn where and when...
Una de las Joyas aún poco visitadas de Jordania. Verdaderamente As Salt es preciosa. ❤🇯🇴🇦🇷 En mi perfil tienen videos e info del viaje a Jordania en 2023. GRACIAS POR MOSTRAR ESTA HERMOSA CIUDAD.
Looks they are pretty chill with the masks. How much are the PCR tests and availability? I was there in 2019 as it was shutting down. Would love to go back. Direct Flights from Chicago.
Jason, I have been watching your videos for awhile; yet another nice piece of work. Just curious, is it possible these days to cross from Jordan into Israel? I would presume that this would mean that land travel by way of the West Bank or Aqaba to Eilat would be open. Thanks.
Hello, I love your videos. One of the reason why I came to Jordan. I just arrived today. Is there a way I could get Salma’s contact perhaps she could help me get around as I do not know Arabic.
@@JasonBillamTravel Yes Amman, Salt, pretty all over the country (even Petra!) It would be something to see Petra under blanket of snow (not sure if it usually opens when it snows!? Snow is an annual thing in, Jordan Jan / Feb.
Research, man. There is no danger - mask cannot keep viruses from escaping. It's equal to keeping mosquitos out with a chain link fence. It is common knowledge or people ovr 40 when education was decent and is standard medical training.
Jordan "is quite an inexpensive country?" - On the contrary, Jordan is one of the most expensive countries in the world and I can say that because I know what is an expensive country, I live in the most expensive city in the world: Tel Aviv and Amman prices are very much the same or even more expensive!
1-2 days in Amman, a day to journey down to Petra, a full day at Petra, then 1-2 days at Wadi Rum. If you have time you can fit in a trip to the Dead Sea on your way back up to Amman. 1 week - 10 days depending on how much time you can spare.
