thank you for showing us how to repair this type of cable , i enjoy listening to you talk in very calm and slow voice so we can follow how you do this repair job,i appreciate your videos, very helpful (from australia)
@@MeleisaD usually you will know where it's broken because of the plastic breaking in that place. Most common near one of the ends or if damaged caught in a door, you will see the damage on the cable.
@@IONHowTo i have no idea whatsoever is broken on it. Whether its either of the usb-c or the cable. Making an extension could be a solution if i can verify its the plugs that are not working

Thanks for watching!
Thank you! Super helpful and great details. I def feel like I can do this now
I wish I had known about doing this years ago- I have thrown away so many cables. Question - how can you tell where it broke in the charging cable?

I wish I'd seen this video long time ago. It would save me a lot of money.
Haha no way
How did you remove the hot glue or silicone if you want to disassembly it

Thanks, hope you find something interesting to watch here.
Good useful video.
Probably just gonna toss mine and get a new one 😂
Not a bad ideaa. It's a lot of work.
It's much easier to turn the cable into a usb extension than soldering on the usb-c pads.

are you Romanian, by any chance?
Da
Crezi ca ma poti ajuta si pe mine cu un cablu USB C la USB C, contracost, daca stai in Bucuresti?
this isnt a tutorial on how to FIX a REAL usb c cable, they have a lot diferent wiring than the one shown.
Define what a "real USBC cable" is
@@dkevans This is USB-C terminated to USB-A. Real USB-C cable can have up to 12+ pins and is much harder to solder.
@@tidjane2001 l have no doubt it's much harder to solder!
