Thanks very much for the comment - It's fun pole vaulting over water courses and logs. Not to mention the utilitarian uses of a simple staff.

Wow going up and looking in the hole in the tree was cool. That is the first time seeing someone do that on the tube.

An old guy -years ago showed me this trick using a mirror on the end of his staff - he was one cool dude.
I filmed a porcupine giving birth using this method. It is truly awesome what you can find hanging out in a tree hole. Thanks

They are an underrated tool for hiking or camping, there are so many useful things you can do with it. Way more useful than trekking poles, in my opinion.

I could not agree more with you. This pole has uses which I haven't even thought of yet. Thanks for the comment.

@@RGWrighthawks you may have already done this, but check out the old Boy Scout stuff on walking sticks. Interesting and useful information.

@@michaelnasser8697 You are so right - I have my old boy scout book from 1968 - yep, I'm old - that book has all kinds of awesome survival and campcraft skills in it. My leaders were ex army guys and taught us some amazing stuff back in the day.

@@RGWrighthawks well, I was born in ‘68, so you have a couple years on me, lol.
In my humble opinion, if you have an older Boy Scout manual, it will teach you more than the majority of the books people put out today.

Agreed. Too much fluff today. Keep on hiking and camping - it'll keep you young.
