Greetings Friend!...at that price you can afford the gamble, it is simple and wont break. Many years when I used to go climbing in Scotland I used a Swedish made stove called a Trangia, it burned Methylated Spirit, I think they may still be in business. I love your Woodman's Hut...nice place to hang out.
Most other sites that review the fuel cannister cookers recommend a height of 1" max above the flame outlet. Also, a cover on the pot would trap heat and always cooks faster. I found a place online that sold 6hr cans! Mine lives in my car so always with me. Good review!
Thanks buddy - this particular unit is sold with the support hardware for the pot. There is no way to adjust the height using the equipment as provided. I did remove the cross bars and placed the pot on the support ring but the flame suffered due to a loss of oxygen. You could make a ring of rocks to adjust the height; however, as this unit is only a backup to my main stove, it suffices if I find myself in a pinch. It's great you carry it in your car - you never know when you will need it. Happy travels

Looks good man, should check it out
You can't go wrong with this little unit - the cost is what drew me in. As a small heater, the thing is awesome.
Is it only available in Canada?
I believe it is available in the states. There are many similar stoves out there on the market. One is made by a company called Outbound.
@@RGWrighthawks thank you. I'll look for that one. I couldn't find the one you used. Loved the video, BTW.
@@SandysSerenityCorner Thanks very much.
Put butter in pan before eggs
Yep - I messed up. Thanks
