You do absolutely phenomenal work at documenting all these titles. By far the most comprehensive lists I have seen. I can't imagine how much effort goes into compiling and editing all of these games and footage.
Omg thank you so much, I finally found the name of the game that I had the korean demo of as a kid. Never found it just by looking for an rpg with a blond guy wearing a purple armor fighting slimes for some reason. Legend of the ancient dragon!
Quite a great list. Most of these games feel bizarre yet interesting, it feels as if every company was trying to find a style while experimenting with the genres, but maybe it's because I know next to nothing about these foreign dev teams. I'm leaving with quite a few titles to try for educational purposes, great job!
Ooh, thanks for reminding me to get cracking on parts 9 and 10. Admittedly, we've been stalling on them - because they've become very difficult to produce. As games get more into Windows 98 and early 3DFX graphics drivers, they become harder to run - which makes capturing footage difficult. But we will continue soon! Honest!
ngl first moment i saw Electronic Popple thought it was a nowadays indie game, graphics and art style looks pretty unique in that time, will try it one day
There is something wrong with the Quiver footage. I searched for it online as it looked interesting, but Quiver is a less interesting Doom clone, so seems like that title is wrong.
THANK YOU! You've just caught an error in the titles - and it has been fixed! I believe the game you are looking for is "The Reap" - the isometric shooter by Housemarque. Quiver is indeed a pretty generic doom clone. The Reap is definitely more interesting!
@@GaryRetroGamerAh, cool, thanks. I thought Housemarque was just doing (amazing) multi-directional shooter stuff, but I have seen several old games by them recently.
Is Claw not considered obscure? Lol. Either way, I just found out about it. Any chance you could do a 16/32-bit era side scrolling platformer list for the PC?

Yeah I think the same. its not just "Here are the 10 games every Retro game YT shows", its the real obscure stuff too. And that is great :D
Great list as always!
Omg thank you so much, I finally found the name of the game that I had the korean demo of as a kid. Never found it just by looking for an rpg with a blond guy wearing a purple armor fighting slimes for some reason. Legend of the ancient dragon!
Jeez, I finally found out what that game of my childhood was! SCARAB. Thank you

There it is. Tone rebellion. A game i could describe as a 2d jellyfish sidescroller strategy game. Thank you.
The anticipation for parts 9 and 10 is killing me. Thank you for these compilations!

a few jewels in here (Sub Culture!) in a collection of incredible trash. The nerve to release games with the technology of Wolfenstein 3D in 1997...
Yeah you know we need more descent or quake engine games 😏
@@SAM-ru4vx we needed more System Shock like games, but we didn't have them for a while
i know especially since they could of gone after the Doom engine

Waterworld?
What a rip!
Bedlam, played that game over at a friends house when I was 8 years old or something. never fought I would see it ever again
Galapagos and G-Nome were switched around.
Aside from that, I recognize Lomax, Nightmare Ned, and Virtual Springfield.
Thank you! Titles fixed!
OMG - OVERBOARD! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Thanks! Please include the year of the game and maybe make the clips twice as long.
Also Scarab! Very interesting game
Helicops! Its really cool!
Great list! But subtitles for galapagos and g-nome are switched around :p
Thank you! Titles have been fixed!
Lembro que eu jogava Smuta com meu irmão quando éramos crianças, sempre quis saber o nome desse jogo. Muito obrigado!
Duckman sounds like someone doing a poor impersonation of Bradley Coopers Rocket Racoon
Are you saying you cantstanza the game

Claw is not obscure no. It was rather popular in the 90s
@@Grapeandsoda I had no idea! Guess because I was a console kid in the '90's :B
Could you put the name of the games in the videos?
sugestion: put the year of the game too.
Did you read the title of the video?
