    ATTN: TH-cam IS SHUTTING DOWN ALL GUN CHANNELS! I have moved over to Rumble. Others are leaving TH-cam in droves as well. All my NEW content is being posted on Rumble and all my old content is being sync'd by Rumble and stored on their servers for preservation. My channel is easy to find, just search for "NFA Review" in the search bar and you can find me and subscribe!
    TH-cam has given me 2 strikes so far on videos that weren't out during their new policy change. In addition they are deleting 5-6 videos of mine a week! They are doing the same to other Gun Channels and even the manufacturers that have channels. It's time we take our viewership over to Rumble! No more scrolling and watching non gun related content while we are logged in, no more fresh content, no more support. They don't want us here and Rumble has extended open arms to us and other free thinkers who aren't afraid to call BS on how far society has fallen!
    I've run this channel professionally for 12+ years, logged 60+ Million views, 10+ years of public shooting events, and hopefully provided insight and detailed information to our community helping everyone make informed decisions on hard to purchase items. I TRULY and whole-heartedly appreciate all of you. It's surreal that all my blood, sweat, and tears are about to be "digitally book burned" by TH-cam but Rumble has cast a lifeline to free speech and the rights of everyone to learn about firearms and suppressor ownership!
    To my awesome Patreon Members and my subscribers here, thank you! We are beginning a new chapter, ushering in a new fight and WILL NOT GO QUIETLY INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT.
    See ya on Rumble! - Adam

    Picked up one during NFARC group buy. Probably works great butnever shot it since ABS sent me one for a regular 10/22 instead of precision and said "that's too bad, we'll sell you a precision version for a [minor] discount."

    Thanks for making another great video! Is there any chance you might do a video on the Leone Development integral suppressed barrel for the 10/22? It has no baffles. I'd love to hear your thoughts. It is a ported barrel that makes supersonic ammo subsonic.

    Not a bad design but wish they where in stainless steel. Would be worth the extra weight to throw into sonic cleaner or chemical bath (The Dip)

    • @nfareview
      @nfareview  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      They could certainly do s SS version and charge the customer more if that's what you really want. Given the design and carbon cutting ability of the baffles, you really don't need to worry about cleaning much. Back the baffles out every 500 rounds, hit the baffle face with a brush to knock the crud off, re install baffles, done. Baffles don't need to be squeaky clean. I'd take more time cleaning the action of the host firearm than the baffles. YMMV. 😎

    • @nfareview
      @nfareview  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Price would go up. And for this application it's not really needed and will add weight. To this day I've ran my SS baffles in a USC maybe once. I'd rather just not go crazy cleaning baffles anymore. I've learned to just keep the mount areas clean, knock the chunks off and get back to it. I agree that a stainless tube would look nice though, machining costs aside.

      @@nfareview I’d be curious to see some videos on your oldest or most shot suppressors. Would love that sort of content. I tend to pick steel or titanium over aluminum for longevity reasons. Suppressor purchases, to me at least, are lifetime purchases. I know erosion likely isn’t that big of a deal, but it’s something I’d try to avoid if at all possible! As always, thank you fir the extensive reviews! I really want to add an integral 10-22 barrel to my collection, some day! So far the KGMade one is highest on my list.

    What do you mean that you can't use an ultrasonic cleaner?
    If you take Cascade machine dish washing detergent and hot water in an ultrasonic cleaner, it works perfectly.
    If you want to use a solvent, like Varsol or kerosene, place your small parts inside a glass jar with the solvent inside, and place into the ultrasonic cleaner. It works.

    • @nfareview
      @nfareview  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You cannot place aluminum in a USC without damaging it. Same goes for "The dip".

    • @gungadinn
      @gungadinn 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      NFA Review Channel
      Who told you that nonsense?
      There is nothing inherent in high frequency ultrasonic cleaning of aluminum.
      Ultrasonic cleaning is regularly done to aircraft aluminum parts.
      The only caution when using an ultrasonic cleaner is in regards to using low flashpoint solvents. One other caution would be using a caustic or highly acidic cleaning agents.

    • @nfareview
      @nfareview  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@gungadinn Aircraft non stress parts and carbon and lead fouled suppressor baffles are not the same. The contaminated baffles require much longer cleaning durations and aluminum pitting can and will occur. I've seen it. Also, you do not need to get baffles 100% clean and I don't know what the infatuation with firearm baffles and USC's is all about. Hit them with a solvent and brush and throw them back in the can and shoot. The goal is to prevent gross build up, not produce a new looking surface. YMMV.

    • @nfareview

      It does when the threading on the barrel is already in place. It acts like a tap cleaning a thread or in this case, carbon and lead. But…the other viewers knew exactly what I meant. Glad I could paint the picture for ya!

    • @bradriley3345
      @bradriley3345 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The threads in the barrel are cut in a lathe using carbide tooling. The 7075 baffle is only having to cut soft lead and carbon. We do recommend using a solvent to soften the build up and lubricate the tap.
