    I came across a great deal on a 10/22 from a friend that was moving to Florida in the USA. He gave me the rifle for just helping him sort all his stuff and load a little up in a trailer. I was horribly dirty and was not ejecting or loading right. After the cleanup I was assembling the trigger assembly and noticed My Ejector was jammed in and not loose. So i'll have to do a little filing to get it loose in there. Thanks for the video, it was a lot of help.

  • @rationalthought9979
    @rationalthought9979 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thank you for this video. The Trigger Group can easily fall completely apart when you remove it from the gun for basic cleaning, because the pins are fairly loose. Without this and another video I found online, I would've been screwed. (Even if just one pin falls out, you can lose the spring pressure on the bolt stop/release.) I'm now much more comfortable with my trigger group assembly. And feel satisfied/proud at being able to put the gun back together, instead of angry/frustrated.
    Note that an inadvertently rotated safety can make reassembly impossible by preventing the hammer from moving freely. If this occurs, just push the safety to the off/firing position, and rotate the safety with pliers until the flat gap is facing up, so the sear can push all the way down. Discussed further in my other post.

    If you cut a short section of Q-tip, it is the perfect diameter for a “slave pin” to re-assemble the trigger. 👍

    PPS: A little black electrical tape on the sides will keep the slide pins in place next time you remove the trigger group to clean the chamber. And is basically invisible against the black metal.

    P.S.: You may find that your safety rotates when you disassemble the trigger mechanism. This makes it impossible to replace the hammer properly (because the safety is then permanently on, even if you push it off.). If this happens, simply take pliers (needle nose if possible), push the safety to the off/firing position. and use the pliers to rotate the safety back to where the flat cutout potion is facing up, allowing the sear to move all the way down. You will hear the safety plunge click when it's back in the proper position.) This will then allow you to replace the hammer and insert the hammer spring.

    I hate to say it but those springs were in the wrong places. The spring behind the trigger and the spring that is between the two parts on the trigger. I was following this and the whole time i was getting pissed when it wasnt working. I went to another video and realized you did it wrong. Other then that this video was really helpful

      Hi,not sure what's going wrong but the springs are definitely right as the trigger return spring physically does not fit the other way around ! Rifle shoots perfectly = right way around, there are after market springs which may look slightly different than originals, any way hope your rifle is ok now, cheers.

    I disassembled my daughters 10/22 carbine and took the trigger guard assembly out. I took the bolt assembly out to clean it. Putting things back together, pins fell out and I was left with a bunch of parts. Thank God for this video!
