You guys are so real! Love watching y’all! I know all those feelings!
☺️Thank you!
Yes train horn the dude !!🤪 once again great video! Stay safe
🤣Thank you!
I was next to you guys in no in the Pop up camper and I found your channel from it and I love it now
Yes! How funny. You should have meandered over!
Thanks for watching!
@@RVUntethered I was going to but didn’t want to disturb
Ahhhh, a nice evening at the beach ! Cape May is one of my favorite destinations. We’re currently camping up at Kennebunkport, Maine. … also a nice Oceanside town. (Had a nice beach day yesterday.) I enjoy getting up early and watching your videos. Thanks again for sharing, you guys are doing a great job with the videos !
That was a super cute area! Thanks for watching! ☺️
Welcome to Jersey! Not many TH-camrs trek around here but glad you did. As a lifelong NJ resident, I can share that Cape May (although nice) isn’t like the rest of the state. If you really want the true NJ experience, you’ll need to drive north. But nobody recommends that!! Safe travels…
Perfect, thanks! Next time then? 😊
You guys make me smile and laugh! Thank you.
☺️Thanks for watching!
We live in Brigantine NJ and love watching the small birds run away from the waves. Enjoy! We camp in the Cape May area often.
Right?! So funny! And the crabs were a new experience for us.
New Jersey is one of three remaining states we need to visit! We agree, there are preconceived notions about people from certain areas, but our experience has been that most people are amazing (except those driving 30mph over the speed limit 😅) safe travels!
🤣🤣We agree 100%!
Really enjoy your videos. Always brings a smile. Thank you.
☺️☺️Thanks
Really enjoyed you showing these pretty houses. Love you both. thanks
Aren’t they adorable?! It would be neat to stay in them and just be able to walk to the shopping center.
Charlie looked like he was having a rough day....roughing it!🤣🤣 Walmart can ruin anybody's day even a good day. JMO❤️🐾
Haha! Poor Charlie! It doesn’t take much to inconvenience him.
I agree completely about incentives from stores wanting us to do something that is their responsibility. And I love the corny jokes.
Right?! Thanks for watching!
Love the detail on the front porches! They don’t take the time these days.
Right?!! They were adorable!
I know that you have followed for a long time. I have tried to search your channel and had a hard time with it. Are you active and have a link?
Hope you enjoyed your stay in South Jersey! Home of the flat-landers. 😊
Thank you! 😊😊
Cape may looks amazing, thank you!
That area was really nice! The traffic was a bit hectic, but so very nice!
Hitting all the best spots at “The Shore”. Great video, glad you two had a good experience in Jersey. And Ang, you should have blasted those idots with the Train Horn!!! Lol
🤣🤣
Great video!
Thanks!
Great video God Bless
Thank you for watching and supporting!
Train horn for the win! Great video y’all are the best!
☺️☺️Thank you!
Great video y’all always give us good ideas. Cody I do agree with you about Walmart if I have to scan and bag my on groceries then cut the prices. Angela it’s not just there about crazy drivers their everywhere. But love seeing the pups and the sunset was beautiful and the crabs were fun to watch. When y’all come back through Tennessee maybe we can meet y’all. Thanks for the video and be safe and happy travels.
Right?
We have some ideas on our travel after November, but we have a LOT of planning to work through. I’m hoping to have that locked in (or most of it) by Thanksgiving and be able to put it out there.
I agree train horn and hold it down- not just a little honk! I have learned that NYC and Boston they honk all the time! They got some train horn action!!!
😂😂
Well I finally picked up my new 24 F350 XLT Premium with the 7.3L and 3.73 gears. With 500 miles on it so far, we are average between 12 to 14 mpg empty. It's not broken in yet as the owner's manual states to wait for hauling/towing till after hitting 1K miles. I am hoping to get at least 16 empty once it's broken in. Love your videos.
That is awesome!! The XLT premium is a great package! Since we’ve had ours we’re about 17 empty on the highway, but Angela says I drive like an old man 😂
We got married in Cape May. Loved our time there.
Really? How nice! It was a pretty cute little place. I don’t all the people l, but I can see why people would vacation and visit the place a lot.
Y’all have discovered that New Jersey is two different states. South Jersey is more like Alabama without the charming accent. Go north of the capital, Trenton, and “it’s a whole other country”. Glad you had a good time in Cape May…
Makes sense. I suspect a lot of states are like that. It doesn’t take much for it to be a completely different geography and ‘world’s
I keep hearing the intro song from the sopranos
Nice area and CG looks nice too! Walmart bags. I haven’t been to a Walmart that requires using bags. If it’s to save the environment why package the Great Value products in tin cans or plastic pkgs or jugs. But they do have to pay extra workers to package groceries for those that shop online. There should be a fee for that and not charge those that don’t. Rant over! 😂 I’m with Cody on talking to drivers. I like the country folks and the way they drive! Hook the train horn! Beach time is awesome… watching all the wildlife everywhere we go. Safe travels!
Haha love it!
Traffic isn't bad in southern NJ, wait until you get north of Atlantic City.
That makes sense.. I suspect this is a high tourist area, which is a different kind of traffic.
We will have to check out that Garmin RV GPS! Since making the decision to buy a Grand Design toy hauler, we will definitely need to be paying close attention to overhead clearance as well (going full time in about 2 weeks with our family). We've heard so many opinions on the different GPS options but it sounds like that is working out pretty well for you guys. We are looking forward to getting out there and meeting new great people like you guys. Thank you so much for the content!
Thank you for the kind words!
I hear a lot of people that like the Rv Life app and a few others that do something similar. This gps has been with us since the beginning and we just keep it updated and it has paid for itself over and over. Meaning, it may not be the BEST option out there, but it has been good to us and has bailed us out of a lot of non-rv trips, where there is no service. That’s my only concern on the apps (besides paying for an app), is that it runs off of cellular.
Good luck on your search!
amzn.to/3ZrDx4n
We recently purchased the starlink mini. It works great. We opted to mount it to a flagpole in our ladder. I have always aimed it according to the alignment feature in the app, but I know it was still working prior to alignment.
Awesome! We need to get the pole I think. I worry that it restricts my options, but would be nice.
@@RVUntetheredI just didnt like that wire running across the ground and the little antenna laying out in the ground. Worried animals or people might stumble on it. So far the pole has worked out great.
@@billcarolstravelproject Good point! It worries me too.
I liked the crab shots! I drove in New York & New Jersey when I was 17 or 18 and I found them to be mean drivers. If you put you blinker to move lanes the would get your spot before you moved over. You had to start you move then turn on your blinker. I don't know what I would have done if I had been pulling 😳
Oh goodness! Most weren’t too bad in that area, but there are ALWAYS a few that ruin it, right?
Angela. Do you know why you don’t tell jokes to eggs.
It cracks them up.
🤣🤣
The proper way to eat jicama is with lime juice and red pepper. I grew up in Mexico and loved getting jicama from the street vendors
What??!! 🤯🤯🤯
What kind of pepper? Any ground?
Neat houses:)
Aren't they pretty? You can stay in them and just walk around the block to the shopping center. You'd like it there.
When you are near the Atlantic, the dish will point east. Works like that from Main to Florida. I look forward to returning to Florida to be with normal drivers again. At least until the snowbirds come down. I begin to think that Floridians are the ones who know how to drive. I grew up in Germany and got my driving education there. I am allowed to give judgment. LOL. Oh, and I too did get cussed out by a gas station attendant. 🤣😂
lol I guess there are crazy drivers everywhere! That’s interesting about the dish and it makes total sense!
Flat one works great. FYI we are at the petrified forest in az and no problems
That's awesome! It impresses me a lot!
we take 4 huskys when we travel that's why I have a toy hauler
Oh my goodness! 😳😳
Cody has a soft spot for huskies, but that’s a lot of big dogs in one area!
@@RVUntethered they travel very well .they love camping
@@RogerSmith-y2j shhhh Let's keep this between us! Cody has eyes for that type of dog. LOL
Alex would be left behind... I'd be going during the day for about an hour to enjoy the pool and spa 😊. Cup cozies save the day. Gotta have my wine!! 😊 The way you both looked up at the trees had me in a panic! 😅😅I , Sandra, am scared of anything that flies, or lives in trees. Go figure 😅 train horn... Constantly!!! Honk at everyone!....I do...which drives Alex bonkers! 😊 Better than giving them the finger .. Which I, Sandra, may or may not do . We are amused by the crabs and we love in Maryland but it's always fun to watch
😂 The crabs were hilarious!
I think you need a bigger honey wagon, I've got a 36 gallon and have only had to dump it two times once and that was a fluke 😁
Yes it is a bit bulky on the back of the rv but man it comes in handy.
Yes, TRAIN HORN! 😂
I need a train horn on our Rv
Ha! I had a bigger one that died and I thought this would be easier to heft around and work with. Most days, I’m happy that I went with the smaller one. Others, I wonder.
@@RVUntethered I can see that, the one I have is a hoss
@@RVUntetheredCody have you considered a macerator pump. They make life so much easier.
@@nathan_livingourjourney365 I have. I think that would definitely make things easier. I may just have to bite the bullet and buy it, but I am hoping that we don't do too much of this type of camping. Hahaha.
The closer you get to North Jersey the crazier the drivers. South Jersey and North Jersey are like two different states.
I believe that! Most of the traffic wasn’t bad, really. There’s always a few, right?
I agree on your comment Cody if I have to do their job as checker give me a discount period!! wife and I have left a many a full baskets at the front of a store because of no checkers and went to their competitors and paid a high price for customer service!!!!!
Agree 100%
Right?!
That road rage had you a little...crabby...
👆👆aaaaahhhh 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
How did you get a jersey sunset when the beaches face the east?
Good video,
Thanks
😁 Sunset Beach (Cape May, NJ) is on the little tail, near the southern most point of NJ.
I'm with Angela on the alcohol!! That's why we have lots of koozie's, even one for Nicole's wine bottle. LoL. Were looking at the roam star link. I love watching the wildlife around the beach as well. That was a Beautiful sunset and amazing weather. What settings did you use for the Timelapse?
😂😂 We used our GoPro 10 or 11 (I’m not sure which we used where) and an iPhone. We did some on Timelapse and some were just videos sped up.
@@RVUntethered Awesome we usually use our GoPro 10 but in Costa Rica I got to use the new insta360 X4 and it was amazing. Hopefully we’ll have that video up in a couple weeks. I’m so behind 🤦🏼♂️
@@gaffordsgocoastal Oh nice! We met someone else that uses the Insta and really likes it. My understanding, was that it has it's own editing software, so I thought that was interesting.
Jicama... is a little smoother than our American Turnip... salt works wonders and thin sliced!
Hmmm! I have found a few unique recipes that calls for thinly sliced jicama for tortilla replacement. I haven’t tried it. 😬
Wow Cody, my husband makes me help take down our brown betty from the ladder😢
🤣Ohhh no! lol
Maybe what happened to Cody, has happened to him and he’s traumatized.
I asked my husband what the cuties did to aggravate you and he shrugged his shoulders and said, “they’re dachshunds!” 😂😂😂
🤣🤣They WAKE UP that way! 🤣
@@RVUntethered 😂🤣🤪
I got wedged in a 13' 10" in Chicogo Ill in my semi. Someone put a 1 in front of a 0. It was a 13' 0".
😫😫Oh man! Being in transportation, we are somewhat familiar with what that entails, in the aftermath.
That really stinks that someone would do that . Chicago is a tough one for truck drivers!
Love your videos, by chance, can you share which RV Garmin you're using?
You bet! We bought this one, prior to going full time, close to three years (or more) ago. It got us out of a lot of jams where we didn't have cell service.
amzn.to/3B8Wyyp
Train horn all the way!!!! My hope is to at least soil their pants when I blow it. Sometimes I consider how to rig a missile launcher as phase 2. Btw, we just sold our home 30 minutes from Cape May and started our full time adventure. We were so close to you guys on Labor Day weekend!
😂😂 Congrats on your new journey! That’s exciting!
Turk bugler would be killing my sister in law. That breaks her up so much. Oh and not drinking in my campsite they can KMB. I’m with you Cody. They should give us discount to do their jobs in self checkout. Pretty sunset
🤣🤣
Turd bugler. Geez autocorrect
A beach sunset on an East Coast beach seems suspicious …..
😁 Sunset Beach (Cape May, NJ) is on the little tail, near the southern most point of NJ.
Desert View Campground at Grand Canyon has weird generator rules. They are only allowed 7am-9am and 6pm-8pm. We went when it was HOT and could not run the AC to keep cool. We left after one night. Why would they have such a weird generator rule?
That’s crazy! I’ve never heard of such a thing. I’ve seen plenty of places that have a rule to shut them off during quiet hours but that’s the coolest part of the day!
@@RVUntetheredI know I don’t get the logic in it
Please don't use the Air Horns running around yourself, Let Cody do that. Dum people may not react well to it. Think safety and let them go on down the road
Train Horn
😁
What garmin rv gps do you run. Pros or cons of it. Thanks
Dennis
I use the Garmin 780. I dropped a link below. The pro is that you dial in the weights and dimensions of your rig and it will keep you way from low bridges, weight restrictions etc. Also, since it’s a traditional gps it will work in places without cell service pending you know the address and type it in manually. That really saved us in Big Bend national park. I dropped a link below if you want to check it out. We’ve had ours since 2021 and it hasn’t given me any trouble other than the occasional misdirection here & there like any other gps.
amzn.to/4esvnwN
@@RVUntethered thank you for getting back with me. Love your show. Keep it up
@@RVUntetheredWe were in the Big Bend area for 3 months as CampWorkers at Lost Alaskan RV in Alpine this year. March-May, which is a perfect time to go-watch the desert in full bloom. It’s one of our ‘go to’ places when headed west after leaving Austin. Have been going to Fort Davis for many years in Summer just to get a break from hot Texas…it’s about 5,000ft. Alpine is close to everything, Marfa, Fort Davis and McDonald Observatory (star party is a Must) and of course, Big Bend National Park. We’re making our first trip to New England, most of the states. So far everyone we have met has been nice & kind. It does feel a bit tight, especially the low limbs. Have added limb scares to our 5th wheel. It has all been just beautiful. A few crazy drivers, but they are everywhere now🙃
@@Sunny-kn6th Awesome! We are familiar with ALL of those places. Big Bend still holds a special place in our hearts. Our McDonald Observatory mission flopped, but I bet it's awesome!
I pity the fool that tries to chastise Ang
🤣🤣
Cody what do you do for a living?
Cody and I both have worked in the Transportation industry, in several different capacities, but he has been doing it for about 20 years.
He currently works in Operations for a trucking company. His main areas work in network, sales and planning.
Dumb Question, how did you get a sunset, on the atlantic East Coast?? Shouldnt you be looking inland, to the East?
Sorry West, sun sets in the West
🤣Cape May is really close to the southernmost point of New Jersey, in the little tail.
What is your job?
Cody now works in Transportation Operations (trucking).
New Jersey is Woke. and they are impatient. Believe me, All my In laws are from there. My wife s mother moved away from there with six kids just to get away from her old maid sisters who wanted to run her family. True. My wife is the best of all of them.
Awe that’s unfortunate. We met a lot of super nice people in New Jersey. I think gross people are everywhere, but they are a much smaller percentage to the good that we see.
Now drivers…that’s a different story! 🤣🤣
