We love listening to Nay Nay talk Carl.
Hey Carl - We like it when Ney Ney talks to us!
Whoop hoo thanks hanks Thursday.....always happy to hear from you guys
Always a pleasure to hear from the Nowak family! Thanks for being here :)
Oak trees have acorns!
Good to know! Thanks for being here 😊
Hi guys glad to see your in New England 😁 where I live is actually the very first exit on 95 into Massachusetts. It’s Attleboro. We have a class a motorhome and I have to say we’ve never had really problems with low clearances probably because we’re from here and were used to it lol but we have a couple bridges here in town that consistently trash trucks get stuck under you would think they would know by now because it clearly says the height. We use RV LIFE GPS and it’s been great and has never stirred us wrong. Most of the major highways have plenty of clearance. It’s the parkways that have the low clearances like the Merritt Parkway through Connecticut. I hope you guys continue to have fun and thank you for the content. My husband and I love watching you guys.
Hey there! So glad to hear from you! We’ve definitely learned to keep an eye out for those tricky low clearances-especially on the parkways. Sounds like you guys have it all figured out with the RV LIFE GPS, that’s awesome! Thanks so much for watching and sharing your support. We couldn’t do this without you two! 😊🚐
We do enjoy when Ney Ney talks to us as well.
Hi, guys! It's always a fun time travelling with you two. The places, your thoughts and most of all, your energy. I would like to share that we've found that a battery powered leaf blower makes real quick work of removing debris from our slideout. It also makes clearing the entire roof a breeze. Sorry for the pun! It also makes easy work of site cleanup of leaves, pine cones, etc.
Its so great to hear from Nay Nay!!! You’re ok too Kyle. 😅
love you guys too glad your got out Boston no room be careful out there
Thank you so much, Paul! We appreciate you 😊
No worries it's just a service entrance cable bare wire it just ground as long as the insulation is good on the other too your good! Glad to see you again
Great to hear from you, Jonathan! Thank you for your awesome support as always 😃
Thanks for sharing Dextar playtime and showing him more in this video.
Karl, if it's dropping acorns, it's an oak tree. Don't necessarily know what kind of oak but definitely an oak tree. Nee Nee - please don't feel Klye the cat treats, he'll start peeing in the cat box and rubbing you with his head. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
Hey you guys, Silly, "tall oak tress from small acorns grow" Yes that's an oak tree.
Thanks so much!
Oak trees have acorn’s. We have them all over our yard!
I have Red oak trees they drop allot of acorns, like so many ball bearings under my feet during fall cleanup.
Thanks! 50 dollar head lamps 😂 You guys need to hit up harbor freight😊
Acorns are soooo loud! It's alarming for sure! 🌰💥😳
Thank you for explaining the slider hitch. We are always curious about that. 😊 Sweet Dexter, he's such a cutie! 💝
We were sweeping slides and roof...then bought a small electric blower...works great!!
Love watching your videos each week ❤
Oh wow, you are in my part of the world. I wish I knew in advance, I would have stalked you at Dick's Sporting Goods in Danvers. The North Shore welcomes you. It's so fun to see a travel video of towns, and roads and buildings I know by heart. Come back soon!
For cleaning the top of the RV? Leaf Blower!! The one I have shares batteries with my drill and impact driver. Also nice for cleaning the floor mat.
How is it lugging that puppy up the ladder? Not too bad? That sounds like a great option!
They are pretty light
@@HappilyEverHanks I have a Hart leaf blower and a over the shoulder rope while climbing the ladder
Please no leaf blowers! Too much noise😢
@@ms.marilyn9430they are awful. Just had an argument with neighbour who cleans along his curb by blowing leaves/debris over to our curb🤬🤬🤬🤬.
It’s an oak tree. I have them in my yard and it’s dropping acorns like crazy. It’s that time of year.
Those darn oaks!! 😅 Thanks for watching!
We stayed at Ernie’s last year. He is a great host and also a Firefighter. We had a blast staying there and taking in the food and scenery.
Yes!! Such a great guy 😊 Thank you for your continued support in watching. You mean so much!
👍😊 always fun to watch 😊👍. Stay safe ..
Thank you so much, John!! :)
We love Ernie’s service station! He’s a local legend and really likes rv visitors. We stayed there in 2021.
Nay Nay with her air drum stick taping , I laughed immediately. “More cow bell!!” So impressed you guys know that SNL skit. Well, I’m old that’s why I know about it. One of my favs
Salem! YOU DID IT! I love that town! So much to do and see and do. The town is dedicated to the spirit of Tolerance, and tied up alongside Derby Street is the Friendship, a replica tall ship. It's a great town. Oh, you found the bronze statue of Samantha, from the long-running TV show Bewitched! Thanks for the video of Salem.
Well Hanks, acorns come from oak trees, and dicor stays flexible. Love watching you! We look forward to Thursdays cause of The Hanks!
You
You two never disappoint us with great information and entertainment. Love this adventure you are on.
Omg ive stayed there! Ernie is such a fantastic man!!
Oh how cool is that!! Yes, he is such a great guy 😊 Thank you for watching!
Get a topper!!! You're going to ❤ it!
Good to know! Thank you Laura ❤️
Thank you for sharing your trip to Massachusetts Enjoyed the video
We are so glad to hear this, Debra ❤️ Thank you for being here!
Slide covers require a bit of maintenance too so unless you're up for that, don't bother. Suggest getting a small leaf blower - makes it so much easier than sweeping with the broom. Love listening to you both!!
You three make Thursdays very enjoyable!
Do love the back and forth video changes so you get two sides of one event, which we all deal with so adds perspective.
Thank you for the VOD. Looks like y'all had fun. 🥃🥃
Slide toppers are most definitely worth it!!!
We are in Massachusetts now too. Huge, beautiful sites here at Mount Greylock Campsite Park and stunning views from the top of the mountain. Come join us!!!🎉
Enjoy the videos and conversations with you both.
We’re still in our stick&bricks with a skylight and an oak tree. You’re right- acorns are fierce when they drop!
Had to share you guys with our daughter, as she works for a travel nurse company! She’s admin, not a nurse though. Her current department coordinates international nurses with positions here in the US.
1. Love hearing Nay Nay's commentary. You both have such fun energy, so this has been fun to get both perspectives during the same segment.
2. YES! Get the slide topper. We have one on our travel trailer, and never worry about things getting on top of the slide or leaks. It wasn't terribly expensive (less than $150 on Amazon), and we installed it ourselves. 10/10 recommend.
Happy Thursday 😂🤩👍
I loved this video. I like seeing what the two of you do when hanging out. Cooking fish, playing with that adorable kitty. Daily life on the road. Even if it is just hanging around doing nothing. The real life of full time. I am going a little crazy with our home in the shop. We had a 3 month appointment for parts to be ordered and some body work. We decided to travel to Maine while waiting on the parts. After 3 months, we thought we would be in a house for 3 weeks max. It's been 4 weeks and they said the awning in not in. 4 months they had, out of sight, out of mind. Now it could be another 3 weeks. I am going crazy. Don't Ever use The RV shop in Delaware. New Castle.
We live in southern Maine, and love watching your navigation thru New England, I have been there and do not like the traffic on a good day.
My husband and I use “snow-coat” for the top of our 5th wheel. We have to repaint it every two to three years. Great product! It also helps keep or 5th wheel cooler inside. Also we have a short bed truck and we use a Reese hitch. We never worry about the 5th wheel touching the truck. The hitch pivots at the base of the fifth wheel instead of turning at the hitching point. Check out the videos!
You need an auto slide hitch never have to worry about tight turns as you turn the hitch slides back then returns to normal position never have to get out of truck
Yes most definitely I have the Superglide
Thanks. Really enjoyed it. Have fun
We did New England in a 42ft 5’er last fall. We too travel without advance reservations…discovered the campgrounds all close around Columbus Day. I was so bummed because I wanted to stay until a snowstorm forced us to head south😂. That was too soon for peak fall color. We headed back to Texas through Virginia and chased beautiful foliage all the way. Enjoy you guys!!
Thank you both for the outstanding videos you share with us 😊❤️🙏
Get one of those GPS emergency locators for your hikes. Like the ones boats and small planes use. We don’t want anything bad to happen to y’all on one of your hikes.
Ted Nugent Rocks!
Whoever wrote the poem about the mighty oak tree must have been living in an apartment in New York City!
1.2 million acorns in my yard. Free for the taking!
We are starting to see color here in Western Maine!
Slide topper 👍🏼 especially as we get older and don’t need to be on the roof. I’m already there 🤣
Slide cover for sure Carl and NayNay 😅. We love them
Well if it's dropping Acorns it must be an Oak!!!!
Good call! That sounds great to me 😁
Acorns? Or are they oak seeds? Or squirrel nuts?
B&W all the way. Great choice
We have loved your New England adventures. Yes all the campgrounds are woodsy and not wide open fields. 😊. We are formerly from NH and now live in FL. Truly miss those northern campgrounds.
By the way…that tree? It’s an Acorn Tree (or an oak)! 😂🤣😂
Thanks for my hiking kit…we love it! Perfect for camping. Loved seeing y’all shopping for the goodies!
We love our slider hitch. Saved of us on several “tight spots”
Great to have you visit MA our home state. Thanks for your videos we love watching your travels.
True topper for the slide
The 22” Blackstone is the ticket Kyle!! We love ours and it fits perfectly in our front compartment! Peace and love NeyNey, Kyle and Dexter!!
Oops…..Nay Nay 😂😂😂 sorry
We have the slid covers. We love them. We had them put on when we bought our Rv .
Another great video Hanks. Be safe in your travels BTW, the tree is a Northern Red Oak.
Looks to be a Red Oak and they can really drop a lot of acorns. We have one in the center of our yard and it's huge. Yes, loaded with acorns and it's beginning to drop now. Next will be the leaves turning color and then falling to the ground. Weeks of cleanup to do. Thanks for sharing and God Bless you two. Safe Travels.
Thanks for the video! Safe travels y'all! If you ever find yourself in Fairburn GA watch out! The main road is only 10'1 under the rail road tracks. You just have to drive to the east to go over instead of under the tracks. Almost got us!
You both are the best part of my week.
Oak tree😂 Love you guys ! Nice to see you in NE🎉
I'm watching this from two campsites over from where you were.
Thanks for a fun video Hanks
Hey this was a great video loved the old town charm. And Carl if you are ever in a Harbor Freight pick you up a Hercules blower, this will make cleaning off the roof a whole lot faster. They are under a hundred dollars. Love seeing Dex and he is such a good boy. Y’all stay safe and happy travels.
Nice job Hank's
You youngsters are getting me excited to get my (soon to be purchased)RV.
Us old dudes can use the term youngsters 😂
Love this!! We can't wait to hear all about it when you get it 😊
Weird FYI.... If you are headed to Salem, especially in October, if you need a bathroom, the hotel on the waterfront, Pickering Wharf, has the best bathrooms ever! They do not mind you walking in using the bathroom. Every October, they decorate the lobby for Halloween. It is so great!
AWESOME!
Love hearing Ney Ney talk, Big no on the Slide Toppers Carl! They will be more trouble than they are worth! Wife and I love you guys!! Wish you guys got the chance to camp at Normandy Farms in Foxboro Ma, Pricey but super nice!!! Maybe on the way back? Nicest campground on the East Coast!!
I love your adventures.
Acorns come from oak trees
Thanks for watching and commenting, Vicky!
Slide toppers are the bees knees for both keeping junk off the roof AND providing shade on a hot day.
Unless it is very windy. Ours got twisted just a bit but enough that the medal support snapped when we went to open it again. Took it off and now we don't have to worry. High winds you need to pull in the slide to protect it like you do for an awning. If we put ours in, we have no bed. No more slide toppers for us
Slide toppers are a must. We are on our third rv in 20 years and every one of them has had slide toppers. The RV dealer we have used for all of them will not sell RVs without them.
So far no toll roads for us we have been lucky. Roo said hi.😊
Thanks Hanks for another great video. The sealant on the roof is suppose to be soft an self leveling. You should check it for gaps and voids a few times a year and touch it up with Self-Leveling sealant. We love hearing how you talk about each other, sounds like my wife and I. Stay safe and give Dexter a Kiss he was a good boy.🤩🤩
You need an automatic slider hitch. When we had a short bed, we used a pullrite slider hitch, best thing we did, never had to worry.
I'm so excited every Thursday seeing where you have been. When you get to NH, North Conway is the best! Especially going to Zeb's General Store. Also in Stowe VT visiting the Ben & Jerry's factory. There is also a Cabot store and the best Cider Mill cider right up the street from the factory.
In the tiny town of Monkton VT there is Alderman's of Vermont. Best chocolate shop in a small town!! Tell Darcee I said hi!!!
Hi Elizabeth! Thanks so much for sharing all those recommendations! Hopefully our travels will take us there ❤️
More Dexter please!! It was so much fun with him being featured more in this video!
Enjoyed the video and watching y'all explore. 👍
What a fun video. Hope yall have a great time. Happy Camping and Safe Travels! ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻😺😺
I have the Demco auto slide hitch never have to worry
Your hitch is adjustable , the shiny metal uprights have multi holes where you can adjust it back a few inches
Wife and I just watched this week's episode. Made us laugh love you guys.
It's easier with a trailer ball trailer, but one thing I learned when backing into or exiting from these types of NE campgrounds is you don't need to do it in one shot. By that I mean, if you can get your trailer to a beneficial angle, but your tow vehicle angle has issues, it's perfectly fine to drop the jack, unhitch in the middle of your back/fore-in - and reposition the truck to a better angle, rehookup and finish the maneuver.
Salem is so fun!
I have a tick remover in my first aid kit. After having Lyme disease twice.
Such a good thing to have ❤️ Thank you for watching, Priscilla!
Those trees are oak trees possibly White oak.
Thanks Dave! We appreciate all your wonderful support :)
Thank you for another great video guys. We have a 36 ft. 5th wheel as well, (Not Grand Design). When we started looking at these we were looking at 25 to 30 ft. 5th wheels. We were advised to get a 1/2 pickup to pull it with. Oops , we bought the truck first. And 6 months later we found a Keystone 5th wheel that had everything we wanted on it, so we bought it. We could not drive it home because it was too heavy too pull with a 1/2 truck. I put the slider hitch and air bags on 3/4 ton truck we had gotten for the 1/2 ton. (turns out I didn't need to put the air bags on but there on JUST IN CASE). And like you the 1 time I decided not too use the slide, I turned to far and blew out the rear window of the truck, have a good size dent in the corner of the cab, and a nice scrape on the corner of the RV. Moral is if in doubt, USE IT. Thanks again for the video, and safe travels.( Sorry for the Book)
Fun time you silly’s. ❤❤😂😂
I hope you allow for tail swing when you pull out, being so close to that building. YIKES!
What's nice about a Superglide it's ALWAYS engaged. Been using it now for 4.5 years.
If you're ever in Joshua Tree califorina. You are more than welcome to boondock. we have full hookups 😊 . It would have been hilarious if someone turned on the hose during the hose interview. 😅
This is Tony Diaz. You need to get slide of tops so that way you don’t have to be cleaning when it falls. I have them on my camper.
We are making the switch RV life for our main nav app now! Love ya guys!
Acorns have nothing on the size of the walnuts dropping from the walnut trees at a Boondockers Welcome I just stayed at in Ontario. I thought it was a tennis ball! Luckily none of them hit my RV.
Thanks for another video! Fun fact, watching this at 1.25x speed made y’all seem crazier than normal.
You guys are tooooo funny!!! But love your style!!!!
Fun fact. 1692 is when my family came across big blue to Massachusetts. .(Shumway).
.. We haven't ventured far. Lol. Most of us are still in the area.
