Damn these guys are good. The musicianship here is unbelievable. This is a great Band. period. And probably the best cover band I have ever seen. Wow. And what can you say about the great songs .38 Special pumped out in the late 70's and early to mid 80's. Just phenomenal. I miss music like this. Glad we can still hear Bands do it, though.

I know I have said this before, but it cracks me up, to see a left handed drummer, playing a right handed kit,not cross over on the high hat, but leave his ride on the left. I do the exact same thing, you guys are amazing musicians. I have been playing musinc, since I was 4, so you appreciate great talent.

I'm a guitarist that was deeply inspired by Jeff Carlisi so I want to give special props to the guitarist that played the guitar solo. You played it right !
Now,....The entire band here is exceptionally great vocally and instrumentally.....Love it.

Back when I was a boy and on into my teens, Jeff Carlisi was considered GREAT !
I suppose it likely has something to do with what part of the country you reside also.
Most everyone loved 38 Special and guitar playing was a big reason.
Jeff and Don complimented each other so well. Kind of lost interest in the band after he “left” and certainly when Donnie Van Zant retired. Don Barnes is a great songwriter and guitarist but Jeff was always my favorite. Robin Hood is amazing!

This is the very first 38 Special tune that a drummer friend turned me on to and today still jam and enjoy y'alls cut. With three guitars just as most Southern Rock is written. Kind of miss two drummer tone but still tune is cool. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍brings back some cool memories, yes y'all did, "... You Got That Right! ... "

I honestly believe that Mike is the most versatile and complete vocalist. I can listen to him belting out a song all day! Randy on bass is a beast!
The thought of going to another big concert now after this covid I had thought to myself just wouldn't happen? But I was just thinking that if I saw that the LLB were in Toronto omg I would be there in a heart beat. As a music fan my whole 51 years on this planet at the age im at and after all the hundreds of shows I've been too. That life of music is all I need to have for the appreciation of what the LLB stands for and is. That is the greatest group of musicians that in my dreams could only come up with the sheer quality of sound that is produced. In the world I live in the LLB would be playing 50000 seat venues 100 plus days a year and giving the absolute gift of the love of music to the world on those nights.
This guy is your best male singer......by a MILE! His nails the lyrics perfectly and his pitch is absolutely spot on. ......, and that ain't east to do. Just brilliant IMO.

Love this cover and how it’s in the original key. Great control hitting the high notes in the chorus (baby it’s true) in his natural voice without switching to falsetto. Plus the 2 drum kits. Nice tribute to .38 special.

Subscribed to LLB a few months ago, thanks to their covers of Boston, REO and Heart, who had minor chart success in the UK. Now I am going through LLB’s catalogue and discovering bands such as 38 Special, who are totally unheard of this side of the Pond. Great work!

.38 Special has always been a favorite of mine. I can probably play a dozen or more songs along with some Molly Hatchet, the Outlaws, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Allman Bros., Blackfoot and the list goes on. This VA boy loves me some tasty Southern Rock! You guys sound fantastic, as always!!!

Folks I queued this up on my laptop and run through my mixer and into my 1976 Technics Stereo System and all I can say is Magic to my ears! The bass player was banging it out and the Guitar and Vocal were outstanding. Dual Drums, how could it be? Damn what a treat! Real Music, played by exceptional musicians of today from and exceptional era of music and artists of yesterday. Its doesn't get any better than this! Period! Thank you LLB

You guys are fantastic. I like the fact that your like studio musicians. No jumping around, the wide leg stances , the jumps , throwing hair around drama crap. Your dedicated musicians with incredible talent. It shows just how concentrated your are while playing. And , you all can sing. Cannot day enough good things about you guys. Do you have any original material? As far as covers, you guys nail it and it’s music from my era . Yup I’m an old fart who played in bands for years as a drummer.

.38 Special does a live version of this song (which is on TH-cam) from their concert at Sturgis in 1999 (actually, the song was from around 1982, and that's the title of the video), and it's awesome! For those of you who think Don Barnes is all vocals and no guitar need to watch him shred the lead guitar solo (Jeff Carlisi was not with the band then). I watched Don do this solo and I was like "Jeff who???????" Long live Don Barnes! By the way, LLB, that is one of the absolute best covers of this song I have ever heard. Very well done, indeed! My compliments!
