I don’t really do social media. I just happened to check back in here and saw your comment.
I can see that you’re passionate about wanting a career in music. A little bit of advice - since you already have a great voice and delivery- is to start writing your own songs. Find a collaborator that shares a likeminded vision and see where it could take you.
In quiet moments, let that little radio play in your head and see what kind of melodies your mind can build. That’s what all great songwriters do.
At this point, there are no boundaries and it can be anything. You can change things and move them around in your mind with ease. It’s a fun exercise.
Most people don’t know that songs are written inside out. Find a good title that sings well and write TO that title. If you don’t know a destination, you’ll be wandering around with verse lyrics.
Keep 2 notebooks- 1 with nothing but titles you may have heard or even seen on a paperback book, just anywhere you see it, write it in that notebook.
The second one, you should fill with lines that you can use in a song, just anything that looks like it may sing well. Anything you may have overheard or read somewhere.
Then, when a little chord pattern is established with your collaborator, open both notebooks and sing a melody with the things you wrote down. It may be disjointed at first, but you start with that.
For instance, I was dating a woman many years ago and I just happened to say, “I can’t seem to get any work done. I’m just so caught up in you all the time.”
See how that works? I thought immediately that it was a good, positive thought that could be developed into something.

This is a group of kids from a music school performing tribute shows. They have talent. Some of them are song writers and they are releasing an EP of original work.

I was in my early 20;s when 38 Special released this song in 1982, I believe it was. The sog came from their Special Forces album, if I;m not mistaken. I got lucky and saw 38 Special at the Deschutes County Fair and Rodeo about 10-12 years ago. The Deschtes County Fairgrounds is located in Redmond, Oregon. This band sounds very respectable, covering a 38 Special song. Keep up the good work, ppl.
I saw 38 special at my fathers place in Roslyn NY for you long islanders back in 77... I was a young teen, they blew me away.

There;s just something so unique about the sound of 3 guitar players, plus the bass player, too. That 3rd guitar adds such a nice extra sound to the rest of the band.
