If anything, all these mods should show the commitment of developers who aim for historical authenticity rather than complete realism. While it is possible to fine tune the game with detailed aesthetics that existed throughout each battle, it's ok to make games like WAW as faithful as possible to the conflict depicted without putting too much strain on the developers.
Honestly world at war May not have been incredibly accurate but you can tell the devs really tried and we got an impressive product. World at war makes most WW2 games look like MLP in comparison
He said that in his other video. The game had over 122 inaccuracies, but most off them were very minor such as incorrect emblems or models. They tried to make the game feel authentic and I liked it alot how your character doesn’t speak or has a face for that matter, which is actually a very sad message on how many men fought and died without somebody even knowing who they were.
At some point you need to sacrifice some realism for the sake of fun gameplay. Like how Battlefield 1 had a lot of automatic weapons that in reality never even made it to the front lines. But without them, the entire game would just be players sitting in trenches taking potshots at each other all match long.
Thank you for adding the Asian Soviet Soldiers . Very few ww2 movies and games show the Tatar and Central Asian soldiers. Their contributions are largely forgotten and only Slavic soldiers are shown in the red army in alot of games .

9:39 fun fact: the base game tries to represent this by having some of the German character models to be in somewhat shorter stature compared to the rest. Another detail to add would be to alter the texture on the Kar98K and Arasaka rifles to be of their late war variants that were made with lower quality materials.
Highly interesting ideas but only if we can find any proper 3D model out there, and it's probably suitable for MAM projects only (FoB series mainly use materials or assets already provided in the game and other COD WaW modders). Plus, the game itself also has a limitation on the materials we can use for each mission. Thus, we're gonna have to be really careful with that ^^;

The fact that they even changed the CROWS just to be more accurate goes to show the dedication that this mod team has. Hats off to them! Since they're going so far as to add more custom weapons, I can only pray that they could add the cut missions (imo, Treyarch made a big mistake cutting the British) and a World at War version of Final Fronts and DS campaign (with some changes here and there for each mission to make it actually look aesthetically pleasing for PC gamers. Also, the fact that these WaW spin-offs have Guadalcanal missions while the base game does not is just TOO WEIRD.)
They had basically no time to make this game, its a miracle it even happened much less turn out as good as it did. They likely just didnt have time to finish it.
A part of me is kinda hoping they might use the assets from the cut British missions to make their own missions, such as the Defense of Dunkirk and the Battle of Arnhem during Operation Market Garden. That way, the hypothetical British campaign would reflect tones similar and different from the American and Soviet campaigns: In Dunkirk, we would see the themes of desperation as the British and French trying to escape the encroaching German forces in a manner similar to "Vendetta" and "Semper Fi", with Red Army soldiers and U.S. Marine Raiders desperately trying to finish their respective missions. In Arnhem, we would see an antithesis to the endings to the American and Soviet campaigns: A triumphant victory of the Red Army over the Third Reich in "Downfall", a bittersweet victory for the American Marines over the Imperial Japanese in "Breaking Point", and a costly defeat in Arnhem for the British. With all of this in mind, this type of British campaign can provide an opportunity to show the darker themes for the British that were present in the other campaigns of World at War. Theoretically, it can be done, as there have been many cases where fanmade levels were produced by modders of older CoD titles, but I just don't know if these concepts can be developed and put into practice, as I am not a modder and have no experience with modding. Also, with Activision cracking down on mods, such ideas may be pipedreams at this point. But that's just my honest opinion and I'm curious to see what anyone else may think.

Not only Third Reich was using younger people or straight up children during war. For example Polish AK was employing children to fight, I've seen the youngest one fighting was 8 years old

Im a big history buff for the pacific war, a cool addition I would've loved to see in the No Resistance level was hand and face paint for the more experienced Marines like Roebuck and Sullivan, the 1st Marine Division was known for their hand and face paint whenever they were going to go on a big operation, there's plenty of accounts, pictures and paintings of the "Old Breed" riding on the LVTs during the battle of Peleliu with camo paint on their faces and hands, there's also a lot more that could be added to the Pacific levels, especially the Okinawa levels.

The face cream was on Iwo Jima to prevent from flash blinding or burns and they took it off soon as they got inland. As for any war paint, it was an optional thing and very few veterans or servicemen did it when going into a battle on the ground. That was mainly done with the paratroopers in Europe

Just be aware that the Volkstermgewerh is not full auto. Plus it was used by the citizens of Germany, so maybe have the younger and older troops weild them most of the time.
5:30 Sad fact: the fighter in the photo was killed moments after the picture. He managed to shout and lead the fighters into battle, but due to the fact that he stood up to his full height, a bullet flew to him, which left him in that field.
Dude was also a Ukrainian serving in the Soviet Red Army as an office, just a the oft forgotten fact that the Red Army is not all Russian (nor even all Slavic). Edit: Looks like my comment about people forgetting the Red Army not being entirely comprised of Russians or even Slavs has been soundly ignored by some.
I hope they can do the same to Black Ops 1 since there are a fair amount of historical inaccuracies on that game (NVA using FN Fal exclusively, AKS-74u being in the 60s, and even freakin reflex sights on small arms). It's something to consider since BO1 is the sequel of WaW and it is set during the Cold War (plus easy mod support).

Plus, as for the Reichstag, it would need to be changed entirely since most of the details inside and outside the building are fictional. Ironically, Vanguard version of 'Dome' map did pretty much better on the historical details.
We tried that by lower their Grenade capacity down a bit, from originally 'three' to two for regular/elite units and only one for ragtag units. Hope that'll help ^^;

It shows that nazism was not only within the borders of Germany, it was widespread in Europe. And people volunteered to fight, even at the very end when the war was clearly lost. It is an important detail because it is a glimpse at the sheer scale of world war 2. A lot of death, destruction, and suffering, and so much wrong and straight up evil actions. If call of duty wants to be good again, they have to acknowledge that sheer scale of the war, it is not about a small group of rogue soldiers, it was factually massive, unfathomably massive, battles with countless amounts of soldiers and guns in waves and waves.

I love this mod. I always thought it was odd that the DP-27 was not in the campaign but it is in multiplayer, like it's an afterthought. I also thought it was weird that the SVT-40 doesn't make an appearance until the last two missions. I hope they also changed the Mosin Nagant M38 model that was originally in the game to a M91/30 model, since the M38 was not a frontline infantry rifle. They should also remove the scope on the PTRS-41 but I don't know how challenging that will be.

It's funny that the modders are taking something that is classed as a masterpiece in video gaming history and making it more historically accurate to honour our history. Sign me in please.
"something that is classed as a masterpiece in video gaming history" I wouldn't go that far. The highest rated CoDs on Metacritic are CoD 4: Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2. World at War is the *17th* highest rated game in the entire series. It has a 7.7 user score, which is good but nowhere near high enough to be considered a masterpiece. Personally, I liked it quite a lot as a kid, but as I've gotten older and learned more about the time period and events it is supposed to be depicting, I have soured on it. The number of errors and mistakes made by Treyarch makes it painfully obvious that they didn't consult actual historians when developing the game. Otherwise, they would have been caught and fixed. What they bet on were the children playing the game being too stupid and uninformed to notice.
@@DovahFettI mean it made zombies in CoD, it's campaign is amazing, it's multiplayer was pretty solid but not the best which is probably why it's not rated at the top. It's a CoD game that brought staples and started the Black Ops story. I don't think it should stand alone in video game history but it should still be there with MW2, CoD4, Black Ops 2, etc.

World at War has lower ratings mostly because at its time was when WW2 FPS fatigue was REALLY hitting hard and it was a disappointment to people that it's another world war 2 game more than anything especially after Modern Warfare freshened things up with the series, and a lot of people focusing on this were blind to the objective quality and improvements to the franchise that the game had. A lot of people looking back on the game, not being in the world war 2 fps hell of the 2000's, do regard it better with hindsight nowadays.
I appreciate the effort the modding team has put into this mod, but there’s one more inaccuracy that has not been noticed before: the IJN uniform in the level semper fi should be in khaki green instead of bright yellow or white like depicted in the game.
The greenish IJN version for the field uniform's model also appears in the game (with the recommended mods installation), and the color will be lighter in future updates. While these white and light green colors in the video are featured on 'tropical' tunic/undershirt lookalike models only. However, it's impossible to alter the models at this time and there might be further changes to their colors as well.
I also just want to add that in today's time, where it seems like COD and other historical-based games are tossing accuracies out the window (the research isn't really hard when it comes to weapons, vehicles, and uniforms), I really appreciate what you've done here and I hope it is something you'll continue to do. This tells me there is hope for historical video games (but seriously, I hope this can be on PS4).
As much as I'm furious about how you cut up content into an ad, which is very sleezy, it's also very clever. Which is the most impressive thing I've seen this year. I just pray no one else catches on, so that I don't have to surgically maneuver around to find the actual meat and potatoes.
Amazing job, just a little note for the scoped STG. There is a video by forgotten weapons explaining that one photo floating on the internet, it was only ever trialed and never saw any combat use since the performance was terrible. A scoped zf41 mkb42h was at least possible.

We need a historical accuracy team to adjust and fix things for the developers when it comes to historical video games like world war 2. No exceptions.
For weapons, I think the Stalingrad Mission should have teh MKB42H which the predecessor to the the STG44 . 2500-5000 were airdropped dropped into Stalingrad. There should also be the Kreigsmodell Kar98Ks since those were what Volkssturm units used.
I grew up playing CoD World at War and I largely credit that game for developing the passion for history that I have today. To see all the historical inaccuracies fixed like this makes the game feel so much more alive and makes me want to re-download the game and play it again

You forgot about the inaccuracies in the opening of the second mission 'Little Resistance' namely the fact that the US Battleship you're transporting from is too close to Peleliu and within range of the enemy artillery and the LVT you're on board is only carrying 8 soldiers when realistic they could carry 18 soldiers plus the 2 drivers
i think after the Makin Atoll mission, the rank of Miller should be updated to Private First Class and not just a private, something like PFC Miller in the intro of the missions later also, it would been awesome to see some M1903 in action in the American campaign, even more in the Semper Fi mission, and later being rare in the Peleliu missions (i just saw The Pacific a few weeks ago and I love Call of b0oty)

Small detail that bothers me about the Mosin: Regardless of wether or not you have a scope, you get the PU-sniper variant. The M1891/31 infantry rifle should have a more classic WW1-style straight bolt, rather than the crooked one we see in game.
Yeah, in the base/vanilla game it is just M38 Carbine with scope. Luckily, we could be able to change that into the proper version for the (WIP) MAM mod while the regular M38 will appear in uncommon numbers among Soviets instead.
This detail always bugs me as it slips through so into so much WW2 media. That and seeing Mosins in shots of movies/games that had very visibly where the PU mount used to be and has been taken off so that they could make it look like a regular standard issue 91/30.

It’s been a long while since I played world at war, but I never knew they was so much love and dedication to historical accuracy in the community! Might be worth picking this up again and playing it.
Awesome project and a breath of fresh air for all of the history buffs out there, that want ACTUAL historical accuracy. My only gripe with this would be the addition of the Scoped STGs. Such a thing was indeed tested, but it was quickly scrapped, due to the mount not being stable enough and the shots going everywhere as a result.

I wonder if there should be the PTRD a single shot bolt action which was more common than the PTRS. Also they should make that anti-tank rifles can not be used unless they are mounted like lmg first due to their extreme recoil. Also I think the late war soviet missions should have the RG-42 instead of the RGD-33 grenade which stopped production in 1942 due to being too complex to produce and to use. Also I think the PPS-43 should appear in the late war soviet missions being simplified version of the the PPSh-41
Absolutely fantastic work It really shows that realism is not necessarily authenticity and accuracy, since you could add all of this in the base game and WAW would still be the same well known and loved story, just witha oomph of immersion

I don't know who's idea it was for that ad style (I've never heard of a company mandating the ad be spliced like that) but Christ that has really put me off watching more of your videos. I'm not fully put off, but if another of your videos has that splicing I'll really exit it immediately and probably just put off watching you altogether.
That's Raid: Shadow Legends. They have a bad habit of being a bunch of pricks when it comes to sponsorship guidelines (and game monetization too, holy hell...). It's almost impossible to comfortably segue into a Raid: Shadow Legend sponsorship because of their strict guidelines and mandated script. I'd mention another company that is also deserving of the title of prick, but I'm not giving the Russian idiots any clout.
I've never seen ANY game that got historical accuracy of the Pacific front theater as much as MOH:PA. They got most of the equipment timeline correct, minus some errors and the gameplay parts. Turning on the trivial facts feature in the game was one of the best and the worst the decision when I played it. Getting shot at while getting some fun facts at the same time lol Virgin 1944 Roebuck: "Single seat fighter. Fuselage is still smoking, check for survivors. Oh no, it's an ambush. Miller, do something." VS Chad 1943 Frank Minoso: "Guys, don't touch the bodies. The Japanese rig the bodies with bombs."

Probably because they couldn't find one exact date that best covers all the events that happen in one COD mission which usually condenses a multi day/week/month long battle into a 20 minute mission. Mind as well just remove all dates from the game with that approach though honestly, or on the other extreme end choose a date that is most appropriate for all of them.
Man I don't know how to thank you. You've broadened my horizons and made me want to learn EVEN more about WW2. I had family on Omaha, in Anzio and even in the Rhine. Some flew up in the sky, and some were boots on the ground. WW2 will forever be a part of my life, and WAW was my first ever cod game. And by God, it was a fun ride too. If anything, all these mods should show the commitment of developers who aim for historical authenticity rather than complete realism. While it is possible to fine tune the game with detailed aesthetics that existed throughout each battle, it's ok to make games like WAW as faithful as possible to the conflict depicted without putting too much strain on the developers.
Honestly world at war May not have been incredibly accurate but you can tell the devs really tried and we got an impressive product. World at war makes most WW2 games look like MLP in comparison
He said that in his other video. The game had over 122 inaccuracies, but most off them were very minor such as incorrect emblems or models. They tried to make the game feel authentic and I liked it alot how your character doesn’t speak or has a face for that matter, which is actually a very sad message on how many men fought and died without somebody even knowing who they were.
At some point you need to sacrifice some realism for the sake of fun gameplay. Like how Battlefield 1 had a lot of automatic weapons that in reality never even made it to the front lines. But without them, the entire game would just be players sitting in trenches taking potshots at each other all match long.

Highly interesting ideas but only if we can find any proper 3D model out there, and it's probably suitable for MAM projects only (FoB series mainly use materials or assets already provided in the game and other COD WaW modders). Plus, the game itself also has a limitation on the materials we can use for each mission. Thus, we're gonna have to be really careful with that ^^;

@@ngzz2498 Likely because you change your mods when you don't finish a current mission that you're playing with the old mods (old save games). You need to start the current mission you're in again in order to play with a new mod and/or playthrough.

Since they're going so far as to add more custom weapons, I can only pray that they could add the cut missions (imo, Treyarch made a big mistake cutting the British) and a World at War version of Final Fronts and DS campaign (with some changes here and there for each mission to make it actually look aesthetically pleasing for PC gamers. Also, the fact that these WaW spin-offs have Guadalcanal missions while the base game does not is just TOO WEIRD.)
I am sure treyarch will add them in the remastered version. We have screenshots of this so they can't deny it. Have faith, brother.

A part of me is kinda hoping they might use the assets from the cut British missions to make their own missions, such as the Defense of Dunkirk and the Battle of Arnhem during Operation Market Garden. That way, the hypothetical British campaign would reflect tones similar and different from the American and Soviet campaigns:
In Dunkirk, we would see the themes of desperation as the British and French trying to escape the encroaching German forces in a manner similar to "Vendetta" and "Semper Fi", with Red Army soldiers and U.S. Marine Raiders desperately trying to finish their respective missions.
In Arnhem, we would see an antithesis to the endings to the American and Soviet campaigns: A triumphant victory of the Red Army over the Third Reich in "Downfall", a bittersweet victory for the American Marines over the Imperial Japanese in "Breaking Point", and a costly defeat in Arnhem for the British. With all of this in mind, this type of British campaign can provide an opportunity to show the darker themes for the British that were present in the other campaigns of World at War.
Theoretically, it can be done, as there have been many cases where fanmade levels were produced by modders of older CoD titles, but I just don't know if these concepts can be developed and put into practice, as I am not a modder and have no experience with modding. Also, with Activision cracking down on mods, such ideas may be pipedreams at this point.
But that's just my honest opinion and I'm curious to see what anyone else may think.
@@static5919 If WaW gets a remaster today, the entire eastern front will be neutered so you're no longer fighting against the Nazis, but instead "mid 20th century Germans" which kind of kills the whole point and vibe of that campaign
The inclusion of the older and younger face models and the hitler youth really helps cement the gritty and horrific themes that the game has. I love how nerdy this entire project is and how dedicated everyone involved is, bravo!

Not only Third Reich was using younger people or straight up children during war. For example Polish AK was employing children to fight, I've seen the youngest one fighting was 8 years old

Im a big history buff for the pacific war, a cool addition I would've loved to see in the No Resistance level was hand and face paint for the more experienced Marines like Roebuck and Sullivan, the 1st Marine Division was known for their hand and face paint whenever they were going to go on a big operation, there's plenty of accounts, pictures and paintings of the "Old Breed" riding on the LVTs during the battle of Peleliu with camo paint on their faces and hands, there's also a lot more that could be added to the Pacific levels, especially the Okinawa levels.

The face cream was on Iwo Jima to prevent from flash blinding or burns and they took it off soon as they got inland. As for any war paint, it was an optional thing and very few veterans or servicemen did it when going into a battle on the ground. That was mainly done with the paratroopers in Europe

[UPDATE2] In addition, the scope STG-44 will appear in (extremely) rare numbers as a bonus weapon. Since there's at least one photo evidence of its appearance in the Battle of Berlin. We also planned to make the Soviet female soldiers appear in a FEW numbers and mostly as snipers. And yeah, that's based on historical sources anyone can find out there.

Sad fact: the fighter in the photo was killed moments after the picture. He managed to shout and lead the fighters into battle, but due to the fact that he stood up to his full height, a bullet flew to him, which left him in that field.

I hope they can do the same to Black Ops 1 since there are a fair amount of historical inaccuracies on that game (NVA using FN Fal exclusively, AKS-74u being in the 60s, and even freakin reflex sights on small arms). It's something to consider since BO1 is the sequel of WaW and it is set during the Cold War (plus easy mod support).
Yeah, I'd like to see BO1 get the same treatment too, plus there's other weapons like the Galil and CZ-75 which wouldn't exist in the game's time frame (1961-1968)

Been playing these historical overhaul mods for the past few months right before I graduated college. I was obsessed with discovering new details and designs and replayed the campaign many times over just because of the Semper Fi mod and the fall of Berlin mod and how awesome the new German uniforms looked and everything. Thanks for making my favorite video game of all time even better.

Plus, as for the Reichstag, it would need to be changed entirely since most of the details inside and outside the building are fictional. Ironically, Vanguard version of 'Dome' map did pretty much better on the historical details.

All of this is very cool and all but what really needs to be fixed is that grenade spam.
The horrors of the campaign on Veteran is filled with the sound of grenades going off.
We tried that by lower their Grenade capacity down a bit, from originally 'three' to two for regular/elite units and only one for ragtag units. Hope that'll help ^^;

The hitler youth hit me hard It's crazy to think that You're fighting and killing children in a call of duty game. The last days of the war were hell on earth
It shows that nazism was not only within the borders of Germany, it was widespread in Europe. And people volunteered to fight, even at the very end when the war was clearly lost. It is an important detail because it is a glimpse at the sheer scale of world war 2. A lot of death, destruction, and suffering, and so much wrong and straight up evil actions.
If call of duty wants to be good again, they have to acknowledge that sheer scale of the war, it is not about a small group of rogue soldiers, it was factually massive, unfathomably massive, battles with countless amounts of soldiers and guns in waves and waves.

I love this mod. I always thought it was odd that the DP-27 was not in the campaign but it is in multiplayer, like it's an afterthought. I also thought it was weird that the SVT-40 doesn't make an appearance until the last two missions. I hope they also changed the Mosin Nagant M38 model that was originally in the game to a M91/30 model, since the M38 was not a frontline infantry rifle. They should also remove the scope on the PTRS-41 but I don't know how challenging that will be.
They could probably import the model from cod 2 to accomplish that

I wouldn't go that far. The highest rated CoDs on Metacritic are CoD 4: Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2. World at War is the *17th* highest rated game in the entire series. It has a 7.7 user score, which is good but nowhere near high enough to be considered a masterpiece. Personally, I liked it quite a lot as a kid, but as I've gotten older and learned more about the time period and events it is supposed to be depicting, I have soured on it. The number of errors and mistakes made by Treyarch makes it painfully obvious that they didn't consult actual historians when developing the game. Otherwise, they would have been caught and fixed. What they bet on were the children playing the game being too stupid and uninformed to notice.
@@DovahFettI mean it made zombies in CoD, it's campaign is amazing, it's multiplayer was pretty solid but not the best which is probably why it's not rated at the top. It's a CoD game that brought staples and started the Black Ops story. I don't think it should stand alone in video game history but it should still be there with MW2, CoD4, Black Ops 2, etc.

@@DovahFett Basically no COD game I don't think can be considered a masterpiece. World at War has lower ratings mostly because at its time was when WW2 FPS fatigue was REALLY hitting hard and it was a disappointment to people that it's another world war 2 game more than anything especially after Modern Warfare freshened things up with the series, and a lot of people focusing on this were blind to the objective quality and improvements to the franchise that the game had. A lot of people looking back on the game, not being in the world war 2 fps hell of the 2000's, do regard it better with hindsight nowadays.
I appreciate the effort the modding team has put into this mod, but there’s one more inaccuracy that has not been noticed before: the IJN uniform in the level semper fi should be in khaki green instead of bright yellow or white like depicted in the game.
The greenish IJN version for the field uniform's model also appears in the game (with the recommended mods installation), and the color will be lighter in future updates. While these white and light green colors in the video are featured on 'tropical' tunic/undershirt lookalike models only. However, it's impossible to alter the models at this time and there might be further changes to their colors as well.
I also just want to add that in today's time, where it seems like COD and other historical-based games are tossing accuracies out the window (the research isn't really hard when it comes to weapons, vehicles, and uniforms), I really appreciate what you've done here and I hope it is something you'll continue to do. This tells me there is hope for historical video games (but seriously, I hope this can be on PS4).

Amazing job, just a little note for the scoped STG. There is a video by forgotten weapons explaining that one photo floating on the internet, it was only ever trialed and never saw any combat use since the performance was terrible. A scoped zf41 mkb42h was at least possible.

We need a historical accuracy team to adjust and fix things for the developers when it comes to historical video games like world war 2. No exceptions.
For weapons, I think the Stalingrad Mission should have teh MKB42H which the predecessor to the the STG44 . 2500-5000 were airdropped dropped into Stalingrad.
There should also be the Kreigsmodell Kar98Ks since those were what Volkssturm units used.
Large quantities of italian, french and czech weapons were used too.
They could probably only put so many weapon assets in the game

You forgot about the inaccuracies in the opening of the second mission 'Little Resistance' namely the fact that the US Battleship you're transporting from is too close to Peleliu and within range of the enemy artillery and the LVT you're on board is only carrying 8 soldiers when realistic they could carry 18 soldiers plus the 2 drivers
These mods are sensational. I’m eager to follow the evolution of these mods with new additions in the future.
i think after the Makin Atoll mission, the rank of Miller should be updated to Private First Class and not just a private, something like PFC Miller in the intro of the missions later

Small detail that bothers me about the Mosin: Regardless of wether or not you have a scope, you get the PU-sniper variant. The M1891/31 infantry rifle should have a more classic WW1-style straight bolt, rather than the crooked one we see in game.
Yeah, in the base/vanilla game it is just M38 Carbine with scope. Luckily, we could be able to change that into the proper version for the (WIP) MAM mod while the regular M38 will appear in uncommon numbers among Soviets instead.
This detail always bugs me as it slips through so into so much WW2 media. That and seeing Mosins in shots of movies/games that had very visibly where the PU mount used to be and has been taken off so that they could make it look like a regular standard issue 91/30.
I was pondering the differences between waw and modern games and one of the only points other games had was a larger firearm variety and then this video comes out. I still believe waw is superior to other games still

It’s been a long while since I played world at war, but I never knew they was so much love and dedication to historical accuracy in the community! Might be worth picking this up again and playing it.
Awesome project and a breath of fresh air for all of the history buffs out there, that want ACTUAL historical accuracy. My only gripe with this would be the addition of the Scoped STGs. Such a thing was indeed tested, but it was quickly scrapped, due to the mount not being stable enough and the shots going everywhere as a result.
The weapon will be very limited or appear as a bonus pickable weapon from certain maps only. However, it can be removed entirely from the mod as well.

I wonder if there should be the PTRD a single shot bolt action which was more common than the PTRS. Also they should make that anti-tank rifles can not be used unless they are mounted like lmg first due to their extreme recoil.
Also I think the late war soviet missions should have the RG-42 instead of the RGD-33 grenade which stopped production in 1942 due to being too complex to produce and to use.
Also I think the PPS-43 should appear in the late war soviet missions being simplified version of the the PPSh-41

For the Makin Island mission, the Marines should use M1903 Springfields instead of M1 Garands.
Carlson’s raiders had the M1 garand on the Makin raid. Carlson emphasized the use of greater firepower and formed the first marine fire teams. Read your history and learn the facts

I don't know who's idea it was for that ad style (I've never heard of a company mandating the ad be spliced like that) but Christ that has really put me off watching more of your videos. I'm not fully put off, but if another of your videos has that splicing I'll really exit it immediately and probably just put off watching you altogether.
That's Raid: Shadow Legends. They have a bad habit of being a bunch of pricks when it comes to sponsorship guidelines (and game monetization too, holy hell...). It's almost impossible to comfortably segue into a Raid: Shadow Legend sponsorship because of their strict guidelines and mandated script. I'd mention another company that is also deserving of the title of prick, but I'm not giving the Russian idiots any clout.
I've never seen ANY game that got historical accuracy of the Pacific front theater as much as MOH:PA. They got most of the equipment timeline correct, minus some errors and the gameplay parts.
Turning on the trivial facts feature in the game was one of the best and the worst the decision when I played it. Getting shot at while getting some fun facts at the same time lol

Probably because they couldn't find one exact date that best covers all the events that happen in one COD mission which usually condenses a multi day/week/month long battle into a 20 minute mission. Mind as well just remove all dates from the game with that approach though honestly, or on the other extreme end choose a date that is most appropriate for all of them.
Man I don't know how to thank you. You've broadened my horizons and made me want to learn EVEN more about WW2. I had family on Omaha, in Anzio and even in the Rhine. Some flew up in the sky, and some were boots on the ground. WW2 will forever be a part of my life, and WAW was my first ever cod game. And by God, it was a fun ride too. Thank you for teaching this moron some more about a war he loves to learn about.-some madman on the internet.
I'm definitely saving this video for later, for me, a ww2 shooter has to be accurate, so the fact that there's a dedicated group of people making a great game more accurate deserves my utmost respect.
