I love Yvan's optimum bowtie. As a custodian in a school I always love seeing people use the swing machine for the first time. I always tell them to start in the bathroom because if you can learn to control the machine around the toilets you can do it anywear ...... Love your videos guys.

thanks for putting this out there guys. So many youtubers make the Rotary seem like this scary machine that you need 30 years of experience just to use. Makes people not want to invest the time. I figured that you can do damage with anything if you're careless. Be smart and don't take big risks if you're not an expert and you should be ok. you got a new subscriber out of this.
When spring arrives, I plan on using my DeWalt 849X on my '95 Civic as a learning experience. I liken the rotary to a stick-shift automobile- a steeper learning curve but you have complete control over the power applied. Rotary club FTW!
Funny you brought the floor polisher in. Grandpa yrs ago part time janitor on weekends, showed me at 9 yrs old how to run it. ( we were inseparable) A new full time was hired, had brought his family to see the school. I was running the polisher. He asked if he could try Grandpa said No. When his family left he said ok. Just like you showed all over wrapped in the cord and on his rear he went. Good ole grandpa knew, but didn't want to Embarrass the poor man. Wish I had the skills to Rotary polish. Burned a car at 16, sticking with DA.

So when is the video coming showing how to use it by one of you guys? Great info I have never used one but would like to learn more. Oh none of the big companies come here to put on classes for car detailing and not sure if the few shops in town give classes.
Thanks for the nudge to try rotary, I will give that a try! Keep it slow, flat, and keep the pad moving. Perhaps an old dog CAN learn something new ;-)
I have da's but using them is like watching paint dry! I would rather grab my rotary and get the job done. But I learned on one 20 years ago so its my comfort zone I guess 🤷🏼♂️
I still use the rotary more than anything else. Its hard to beat a DeWalt 849....true paint correction! Great video!

I was scared to use the rotary because I was worried about leaving holograms, but by taking it slow I was able to avoid them!
Perhaps a rotary training workshop in the future at TRC HQ?

After heavy cutting with 7 inch rotary, which DA would be more suitable for finishing, 21 or 15 mm?
