You not only make me smile and make me wanna sit down to my piano to try new things, but you also make me wanna hug the whole musician world! Thx for your inspiring vids! Greetings from Budapest!
This Video Blow my mind..... you are like a musical scientist after watching this i dont even know where to start..... Bless up Bro continue to make these videos and teach us.
Thank you for the teaching! In trying to grasp your 1099 chord, I divided it up in my hands so that the RH was playing 1-2-3-5-8, an add9 that's easy for my muscles to remember; and the left hand playing a second interval, with the top note one whole step below my right thumb. But by mistake, my LH dropped a half-step too high, and that made a really sweet sounding chord! 6-maj7-1-2-3-5-8. Wow. Thanks again!
Grretings fro Brazil, KC! First of all, i wanna thank you for the videos, for the methods, for everything, you're a genius!! I bought all of your courses and was the best manoey i ever spent, thanks, my church abd i owe you a lot, God Bless You!!
That B613 gave me chills. I am a rookie when it comes to the piano but I feel like if I learn those chords I would fool everyone into think I'm a beast hahaha
Lol!!! So... I am a piano player but struggle to form these complex but beautiful chords. I took theory and have theory books I refer to, but.... Any advice? Eventually I want to be able to accompany myself when I sing. Ok. Thanks in advance.
0:59 that groove in the back ground sounds a lot like Terrance Vaughn...from that clip of him rehearsing with James fortune ....../watch?v=uLAbCCSMx5s... is that where you got it from?
Thanks for watching... I mentioned/typed the chord name in the vid. It's an AbMaj9(#5 b5)... there are many ways to rename it depending on your angle... Much love! :)
I would just generally say Lydian augmented, it has almost all of the notes of the scale except the 6th grade which is implied. Hence I wouldn't use the #5, b5 denomination, but rather the Ab#5#11. As you did.
Whats Up KC? Im on your website ready to level up. I just dont know what to get. I do know that I want to know how to create chords from any bass note when im subbing chords and passing. To give you a gauge of where im at id say a beginning intermediate. I can move around a bit but only enough to get buy. The sounds are in my head i just wish i knew what to hit. What do you suggest? And i dont have a problem with this but MUST i learn theory? Thank You. Blessings from Orlando
Hello. KC. I often listen to your lesson. Very grateful about that. There is something I want to know but if I do not feel rude, I would like to know about the program you use in the lecture. When you play the piano, can you get me a program to make the piano on the screen show what sound was played in green and make the name of the note visible? I think that I am very grateful to give answers.
Hi.. im from Brasil and i really love a lot your videos but im not too advanced and although of the beauty of sounds i cant understand too much because you are not showing all chords that u are playng.. could show too the harmonic field to us.. like that we can see the way that u are going.. we love your classes.. beatiful!
so in what context do you apply the "1099" as in as dominant or minor or what quality? or it could be applied in any sense by just building it off your melody note?
