Seriously, been following with the midi keyboard for the entire vid.. and where you started to play on that track in the end I managed to follow with not that much of difficulty.. just figured out the single note of the scale that the chord corresponded to.. and then I played the associated chord on the right hand (with those spicy two's and seven's ) with 2 tries lol. It's been a long time since I learned this fast and efficiently.. and i knew almost nothing about neo-soul chords prior to this video. One of my favorite videos so far! Keep it up!!

Bro that patch is giving me life right now. I love the way you teach and how you give the names of the chords on it's full form. And show guys the number system. So many muscians don't know the number system. It urks me when I can't talk numbers when someone doesn't know a song on stage.

broooo wusssup!!!! Yeah man, you're right - the number system is so much quicker to lead a band on the fly.... imagine screaming play a "Bb min9 (11, 13)...lol 😂🤣

I have played guitar for almost 20 years as well as bass and druns for quite a while. Picked up the keys a couple weeks ago and music made more sense than ever before. Understanding the major scale and all the modes as well as the theory behind composing chords is amazing. I had tried to learn these concepts over the years and for some reason or another it didn't click until recently. It all comes clear haha. I had developed an amazing tonal understanding of music otherwise known as a good ear lol. Also really good technique but learning and truly understanding the concepts behind what makes it all work is great. Also started to sight read which after playing by ear for so long is definitely trip. I am glad I developed this way as a player though as I think learning to play and compose by ear really helps with creativity. Your channel and teaching technique is great. Once I get my studio up and running I would love to work on a track with you. Ill be running Logic Pro x. I loved my experience with Logic Express 9 and I am hooked for life. Can't wait to join the creative ranks of TH-cam musicians as I will be creating my own channel! Peace man!

Thanks you!! When you started stacking those chords and explained the numerals sytem something clicked in my head and I took a leap forward in my understanding of keyboards and theory.I am a guitar player who learned by ear and had no theory background.I have been learning some keys in order to add them to some original music recordings and you really helped me understand how I can harmonize keys with guitars. I know this wasn’t your goal but thanks.

8:20 when you go 2 over 7. You made that 2 a major chord, when, according to any major key, 2 is a minor chord. It sound incredible but I need to understand the rule well before even trying to incorporate this. Can anyone help me out?
Also, let me just say; This video is pure gold, I can not begin to describe how joyful I felt during the entirety of it, taking notes and having a blast trying it out for myself. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us, fellow musicians. I'm forever grateful!!!!

I guess I was in Musician's block where I couldn't really come up with any Arrangements of my own, often overthinking what it was that I wanted to play.
