Everyone with a 4 cylinder car if you want it sound good never remove the resonator, you can do a muffler delete but the resonator is what keeps it from being raspy. You can also always replace the muffler with a resonator as well.

@@JSeriesDameDepends. Some of the exhaust routing on certain chassis’ or older models, sounds super raspy and gross for the V6 engines.
I had a 6th gen (2002) Honda Accord EX V6 sedan once, and the headers and test pipe (to stock “front pipe”), to an eBay catback, sounded super raspy and ricey. The only way I got it to sound any better, was to get rid of the shitty “resonator” in the mid pipe, and the straight-through N1-styled “mufflers” in the rear; all which were substituted with generic Magnaflow copy/rebranded mufflers and a resonator.
I remember on another identical fully generic eBay exhaust setup (Yes, full eBay exhaust system setups were more common back in the day), we had a bolt-on OBX high flow cat that we replaced the stock cat with, and this helped kill some of the rasp, but not by much. I think it was honestly the thin material of the tubing/piping on the headers that made it sound really raspy and tinny. I remember running the stock headers to the rest of a fully straight-piped eBay exhaust, and it didn’t sound as tinny, but was raspy ofc.

I think it sounds good, why ? Because he didn’t just do a straight pipe which we all know Honda’s get very raspy, even if you delete the resonator, he did the right thing by putting an aftermarket resonator and muffler

i like that its more subtle, I have the same engine and it sounds basically the same just a little more lively. After all, its not a race car so I hate when people put really absurdly loud exhausts on these

Hella haters that think they're car guys in the comments lol. There are plenty of reasons to get a 4 cylinder as opposed to going straight to the V6. For one, the price difference in trim levels and two, most people want a nice car that sounds good but also acts good as a daily driver. For a daily driver I'll take good fuel economy any day.
This also is a huge improvement from stock. This isn't meant to be earth shattering or sporty. Even said in the video, classy and clean.

On my ninth gen I had the Borla Axle Back and then removed the factory resonator and swapped in a MBRP Resonator but it sounded awful on declaration so I just bought the RV6 mid pipe which is a Ultra Quiet High Flow resonator with a 2.5" pipe so I got way more flow. Being the Borla flows so freely you don't want to make it any louder.

Not so much. Hopefully you figured it out, but it’s mostly the piping diameter size that determines a lot. Other factors like the baffling (in case it restricts/impedes exhaust flow) or material type, may also play a factor in overall performance.
For example, certain aluminum graded exhaust piping might be cheaper and gets rid of heat quicker, but it’s much harder to weld than stainless steel (SS) of certain grades. It might also need to be much thicker than steel, because it’s typically less dense and might give off a more “tinnier” sound and be raspy, depending on how “hollowed” the internal design of whatever muffler or resonator is being ran to a particular engine.

My mechanic is an exhaust connoisseur, hes crazy on making shit sound GOOD. I have a 2.4 accord and did a muffler delete and swapped it with a genuine borla pro xs (there’s so many knock offs so be careful). It sounded nice and deep but not loud enough, i got the res deleted and combined with the borla muffler my car sounds beautiful, only loud above 2.5k rpm’s, nice and deep, and slight pops. Sometimes I do wish it was louder, the only way to do that though is to do a muffler delete and get a better res (stock res is ass). Even so it’ll probably still sound raspy without a muffler

Magnapack $88 x 2 + $20 resonated DC tip + install= ~$400. Borla XS ~$700 + install= ~$900. On a daily driver that's probably otherwise unmodified, a $1000 exhaust that would give a near zero power or sound quality gain is just throwing money away.
