      @@senorbonbon I'm not a huge fan of Magnaflow exhaust products, but from time to time I have heard them sound good on certain vehicles.
      6-cylinder vehicles can be a different challenge from 8 cylinder engines, entirely, but I will say that I have heard some very interesting Toyota/Lexus builds with Carven R mufflers and with Vibrant 1792/1794 (12") or the 1793/1795 (18") resonators.
      I wouldn't give up on your Magnaflow idea and search TH-cam to get a feel for how those Vibrant products might sound on your car, as well.

    I have the 14" on my Silverado, and it's perfect for me. Not too much louder at idle than stock so I don't disturb the neighborhood, but it's aggressive and plenty loud when accelerating hard. For me it's the perfect blend and I still get the smooth and deep Magnaflow sound when I want it

    So glad I found this video guys, I recently bought an 14 silve and was wondering on how it would sound, specifically with the magnaflow, is like this video was made for me in a way, I'm sure you guys can make lots of more videos made from your archives of videos and make reviews like these either specially with the muffler brand or car model or engine, it's awesome to see reviews like that.
    Now, in regards to improving videos, maybe there should be a way of following through a video by following a concept, such as for example : you record the video inside the shop both a few seconds of idle engine / reving engine: out side the shop record close to the muffler tip, and finish with inside cabin sound from start engine to reving, and the take off is the bonus, which you guys did, not saying you guys didn't, but once that method is followed, I'm sure great reviews will be made, then you have perfect reviews, each car with its precise audio. Awesome

    Do a series like this on your vibrant products!! Good video as always 👍

    • @FiveBoroNative
      @FiveBoroNative ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The issue with Vibrant products is that people use the parts Vibrant calls "resonators" as mufflers and I rarely see actual Vibrant mufflers on people's cars, these days.
      The other issue is that their products pretty much all have the same sound, but either lower or higher volumes depending on the size of resonators or mufflers or both if you use them together.

    • @jeremysantos4753
      @jeremysantos4753 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@FiveBoroNative Vibrant mufflers are pretty popular in the Honda Scene when combined with Kteller piping kits. But you're right... everyone else vibrant is primarily known for resonators.
      It would be cool for him to put a video together showcasing each of vibrant's resonators are capable of; I know they have somewhat of a variety in products like bottle-neck and ultra-quiet style Resonators in various lengths/diameters.

    • @FiveBoroNative
      @FiveBoroNative ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jeremysantos4753 they did a video with a BMW showing a 1792 vs the Ultra Quiet and the sound was identical between the two, but quieter with the Ultra Quiet which makes sense because it is larger.
      I haven't had much luck using Vibrant resonators to kill drone. They kill a lot of it on my V8, but not all and it makes the exhaust note muddy so I removed them and installed Helmholtz resonators which work better and preserve the tone much much better....

    I love Magnaflows but I would say if you want more sound go with Corsa or Spintech. I have a 14" Magnaflow on my 13 Ram 1500 it's just too quiet even with a resonator delete. So I'm about to get an X-pipe and Corsa Pro-series mufflers. Maybe equal length with long tubes.

    Nice presentation, but need to hear more 6 cylinders because of manufacturer's going with turbos and 6 cylinders,and 4

    I have a 2.4t Subaru outback with dual exhaust. Mufflers just behind the bumper. What muffler would you recommend for a nice daily not overbearing sound? I also want to have quad tips like the old WRX hatchbacks.

    Great comparison. What was the rest of the setup on the cars? We’re the examples with stock resonators, x pipe, or straight pipe?

    I'm currently running a single 3 inch system with a 22 inch on my 08 ram 1500 4.7l and love it for how quiet it is. I've ran many system to include straights but this current system is by far my favorite. If it was more a a occasional joy vehicle it would be 2.5 inch true dual magnapacks dumped behind the rear tires.

    14" I'm pretty sold on. Sorry, I know it's an vid but I searched MagnaFlow Silverado and they gave me this vid to watch. I liked it. I've also been told they get louder after time. Is this true?

    Looking at putting a 6in round, 14in length magnapack on a '23 4Runner. Can't find a single video showing a 5th Gen Runner with that performance muffler installed.

    18" sounds best for me but I want it 1 x 2,75" inlet and 1 x 2,75 out because of the existing pipes . Will there be a sound difference ???
    Thanks again !!!!

    Which do you recommend for my k5 blazer? Has a chevy 350 mild cam and long tube headers. Its a dual exhaust set up. I just don’t want to wake up my neighbors in the morning.

    Happy New Year from freezing England ! Very interesting and informative channel. Could you please advise which Magnaflow mufflers you would recommend, to replace the stock rear mufflers on my 2012 Audi S5 4.2 manual ? Many thanks !

      @@exhaustaddicts many thanks - but can't find any details of "Magnapack" in England? Would the 12198 or 11375 do the job? Cheers
