It's great to see exposure of Black and Asian marriages, I am the daughter of a Korean born woman and Black father due to my dad being in the military, I am 40 now and I grew up seeing kids that were like me and Cairo all the time, I always thought there was an unspoken culture connection through Koreans and Blacks due to past traumatic events imposed on both cultures; They both know genuine struggle. I pray one day my black brothers and sisters and asian brethren can continue to learn from each other and bridge the gap for others cultures to connect and grow. GOD is still doing His thing.

This was suggested to me and as soon as you said you are a sailor and he eats crayons I had to give props. I was a Corpsman with the Marines a long time ago. Funny story, I'm white married to a Black woman for 23yrs and me and the wife went to Kurtis Blows Hip Hop nutcracker and before the show Kurtis did a 30 min concert of old school Hip Hop songs. My wife was laughing because I knew all the words to all the rap songs, but growing up in Cali I listened to Hip Hop and R&B.

We have things that overlap, but there are a lot of differences. But I have a friends of a different race who like the same music and movies, but we don't have the same hobbies. What I've learned is to bond over the things you share with different people. I have food friends and movie friends and music friends and life friends...just be open. But an Asian guy vibing to Fantasia is a shocker. I don't even know too many Black men that would bump her.
