    Watch this video to learn how to install everything you need in a well house. This shows plumbing installation, expansion tank installation, gages. It really is a simple Do it yourself project which you can purchase most items at your local hardware store or on amazon.

    Ground wires and neutral wires need to be separated in a Sub Panel.

    Hi,
    I really appreciate you doing this kind of video. I have a problem with my well pump system.
    I just got a new well drilled with a submersible pump and a new 4.5 Pressure tank, pressure switch and Cycle Stop Valve installed .
    The water pressure build up to 60psi and cut off fine, but when a valve is open the pressure drains quickly down to zero and shut off the pump.
    I tried everything to no avail. Is there anything wrong with my system? Unfortunately, it is out of the country and no one has any idea of how it works.
    Would you happen to know what could be causing the pump to shutdown when a valve is opened?

    @ericd2791 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    the pressure switch will shut the pump down when it hit whatever psi it set at. for my it 40-50 psi for the pressure switch.

    20/40 pressure switch it really a little low for new houses and you need to check the pressure in your pressure tank to a couple psi below your cut in pressure. Good clean job none the less!

    I am seeking to build a well on a piece of property, and seen some well costs can range very high. So my question is, was this used in exchange of using a above or under ground well like you see most the time located on private properties ? Hope this makes sense as this is my first time and im trying to understand what possibilities I may have and how they work. Thank you and have a great day.

      This IS an underground well. Deep drilled well with submersible pump.

    how deep did you had to drill until you got water? also where do you have the motor that pushes the water up to the tank? i didn't see any motor next to the tank.... I'm planing on installing a well too on my new property before i start with the construction of the house. thanks for your quick response..

    • @DanielWoodell

      +Ruben Roman - As far as how deep it depends on your water tables where you are going to build. My well is at 180' deep that is about average in my area 160-240' is the average here in Washington. Also the "Motor" is submersible in your well pipe it sits at the bottom of the pipe and pumps it up to the surface or expansion tank, which is the big blue tank you see in my videos. My brother has a very similar setup and he will be starting his construction in July and we plan on shooting more in depth videos that detail these types of questions. His well is already in and his power is run to his well pump house but everything else will have a video for it.

    Hi, Nice video! Let's say you wanted to install water in a 2nd structure on the property, could you use something like a tee pipe to run water to the house and then to the other structure? Thanks!

    • @DanielWoodell
      @DanielWoodell  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yes But, you would want to understand the GPM at the primary place that you use water, the pump that is in the well is sized based on the expected water use. you just want to make sure that the pump is big enough to support what you want to send water to. I have water to my house, to m sprinkler system, to my detached garage, and also to a water spicket by my drive way, all of these are just tee'ed of the main line.

    My 230V well pump has 4 wires, black and red for the power, green for the ground same like yours but I also have a yellow. Did you have a yellow wire coming off your pump? I hooked up my electrical the same way you hooked up yours. I turn the power on and the pump buzzed then I turn the power off. I put the pump in the well and turn the power back on and no water came out of the hose. I am so confused.

    Can I put two water pressure tank one after another for extra back up and does the 2nd tank require water pressure valve?

    • @DanielWoodell
      @DanielWoodell  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ACLC Houston yes you can add two tanks. Call though this is an 80 gallon tank I can’t imagine A reason that you would need a bigger tanks on that. No as long as the tanks were teed together so that all of the valves and pressure switches work correctly you would not need an extra pressure switch.

      I am renting out a RV and adding a 2nd one they are 100 ft apart Can I put the tanks 100 ft apart or do they need to be close together.

    • @DanielWoodell
      @DanielWoodell  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ACLC Houston My tank is 120 feet from my house. I would think that under your application putting the tanks next to each other would be the best. But that’s only a recommendation. without seeing your exact circumstances it’s hard for me to really say.

    Could have just ran one conduit to the pressure switch and the other from the breaker panel to the control box, makes it look more cleaner

      You ever tried to run all 6 wires through one opening on the side of a pressure switch? I didn’t think so.

    Did you ever correctly set the air in the tank relative to the settings of pressure switch? If you didn't you have serious problems that can lead to total well destruction. waterwellman

      He said at the end that they adjusted it so it would work properly. And ‘total well destruction’ may be exaggerating a bit. Lol.

    Hey Dan. Did you end up having to do any plumbing or electrical inspections for this hookup? Thanks.

    • @DanielWoodell
      @DanielWoodell  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The electrical was inspected by L&I, because I used a permanent remote meter. The plumbing was not inspected because it is all in a detached pump house, and was all installed before I started building the house.
