Views & Queues FAQs
Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. You can find these linked in our Amazon storefront: www.amazon.com... (Full disclosure, these are affiliate links. It costs you nothing more, and we earn a small commission.)
What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl..... To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.
Where did you get XYZ clothing item, Kerry? I do most of my shopping on Amazon and you can find those items linked in our storefront here: www.amazon.com... (Full disclosure, these are affiliate links. It costs you nothing more, and we earn a small commission.) My sunglasses are a mix of Knockarounds and Blenders. My luggage is Bric's by Ulisse. Those fun flowy pants are from Shein. Other than that, it’s usually TJ Maxx, Kohl’s, JCPenny or Old Navy.

Will Brian ever propose? He finally did!
We just booked our first cruise because of you guys after I watch all of your videos. We decided to skip the all inclusive and try cruising we are so excited.
cruising is great. there are pros and cons to both. i've done both, and i much prefer cruising.
Cruising is a all inclusive experience and wishing you a wonderful vacay🎉
End of July I am going on the Celebrity Solstice to Alaska staying in a prime verandah cabin. When we booked the cruise it was almost $1000 cheaper than the Royal Caribbean options.
I also love with Celebrity that if you ask, your stateroom attendant will refill your ice bucket twice daily. Long ago they did this automatically but you can still get it if you ask your stateroom attendant. Been a Celebrity Cruises Loyalist for a decade and after 11 ish cruises, I haven't yet tried any other, I'm scared! LOL. Thank you for the videos, they are bringing back some wonderful memories and hopes for a future cruise. Cheers!
$3541.54 all in on Ascent on a 10 day! Thats including Tx, port fees and an insurance plan! Ten days We booked that for our 30th anniversary
Is that the Ultimate Caribbean cruise? What kind of stateroom?
Happy Anniversary on your 30th !! Hope you have many more🎉🎉🎉🍾🍾🍾😍😍
Great price for a 10 night cruise! Congrats on your 30th anniversary! ❤❤ Have a blast!
I love when you find a neat spot and then say ‘we don’t know if we should be here’ 😅I didn’t catch this when you mentioned it before - what goes in those pouches you wear?
I haven't been on a cruise since 2019 but watching all of your videos gives me at least a little taste of the excitement. Thank you both!
Search cruising with Ben & david, they are awesome! Done many many cruses, you will enjoy them.
Brian's answer about what Royal cut but Celebrity still has is spot spot spot on. 100%
We just did Celebrity Reflection a few weeks ago, May 13-17. We booked fairly last minute at the end of March and snagged a Concierge level Sunset Veranda(highly recommend) for $1541 total and that includes prepaid gratuities. That was for 2 people as well. Deal of a lifetime!
I love your guys videos. Inspiring me to cruise even though I'm paranoid to!
You should definitely try it. I think you’d love it. There’s nothing more soothing and relaxing than the sound of the water hitting the ship. Cruising is so much fun. Worst part is having to pack up to leave. If you do book a cruise get an ocean view balcony. It’s the only way to go, imho.
It looks like they just changed the sign in the front haha! I had no idea they rented it out! So cool!
long time viewer commenting. I´d personally never do a cruise or any sort of pre-arranged holiday (I go hiking and climbing in the mountains) but you are an adorable couple and I very much enjoy the content you produce
We have never been to Bimini. Thanks for the quick primer. I concur with your assessment about Celebrity being cheaper than Royal. We just booked our Transatlantic from Rome next year on Odyssey, which was $700 more than a comparable cruise on Eclipse for a balcony cabin. We ended up going with Royal to check off Odyssey from our list.
Nah that water pressure is fire all over the ship. We love the Reflection!
Oh and at Bimini the pass is just for the resort world beach area :)
I want to go to Bimini sooooo bad! It looks GORGEOUS there!
Loved another one
Thanks
And congratulations on your engagement!
Thanks for answering my dinnertime question! :)
Thanks you two. Great episode. I’d love to try Bimini. Our Celeb Ascent for January had an itinerary change. Was going to Labadee and understandably, is not going. Wish they had changed to Bimini but nope, going to Falmouth, Jamaica ☹️. Oh well, new port for us. We got off Celeb Eclipse 5 days ago. 3 days in Bermuda out of Cape Liberty. Great time. You both make us happy. Thanks
I definitely want to try Celebrity now after you did that comparison! And was your dinner place a specialty restaurant or included?
pretty sure it was specialty dining
That food is not available on Virgin at the island. Yours looked much better than what I had.
Dinner Time Question: Where is usually the quietest/private restrooms on a ship for people who have anxiety using the cabin restrooms and causing a stink.
If you stay in star class you get all of those things that Royal cut. But the price of star class is outrageous now😂😂
Dinner time question: I liked your cruise pricing comparison and it made me want to ask - how do you book your cruises? Through a travel agent? Through the cruise line website? Through another type of discount travel booking website? We’ve only booked 2 cruises - our first through Royal online, the second while on the cruise through Next Cruise. Do you ever book while on a cruise?
Royal used to be our favorite. We are diamond plus, but now we are loyal to celebrity. I'm going on Beyond next weekend.
I have only cruised twice and on Virgin. I just booked my next cruise on Royal Carribean after watching your videos. I would love to see you two try Virgin and see your thoughts about the food. While Virgin seems like you need to party all of the time you can make it your own as I had one where I went crazy and the other where it was much low key and relaxing.
It’s called, The Beach Club at Bimini”. That is Virgin Voyages private island. You guys need to go on a Virgin cruise.
5 videos in one week!!?? 😱
haha i know right! and 2 more coming today! deleted scenes and May daily life!
@@Views-And-Queues yay!!! I’ve been waiting for cold stone haha
Another ? Are you limited on the amount of entrees? We have reservations at the Lawn Club Grill.
Been looking at cruises and have been between Celebrity Reflection and Allure of the Seas… might have just made up my mind!
We are on the Reflection in November. Do you know how much the golf cart rental is?
I’m keen to try celebrity but in Sydney Australia it’s just harder due to supply and demand. But I’m definitely keen.
Bernie
Next time get a golf cart and sight see. There is a ship wreck and a lot of beautiful free beaches
We’ve only been on one RC cruise and I HATED checking out the towels.
Wait, what's Carnival cost
Ok I have a question?? The ship is 18 floors how many floors are under the water line??
I used to work at a catering company called Bacio and it was pronounced Bacheeoo. Not sure if that helped the pronunciation or not.🤷♀💜
Dinner time question:
What Royal Caribbean/Celebrity ship doesn’t get the attention it deserves, what is the most underrated ship (in your opinion) in the Royal Caribbean group?
DT Question: Do either of your families make a big deal out of the fact that you guys skip all major holidays with them to go cruising all the time?
For your Royal vs Celebrity comparison. My two cents. I feel that Royal is a victim of their own success. Meaning, because of flashy ships like the Icon of the Seas/Wonder of the Seas and Perfect Day at Cocoa Cay "everyone" is booking a Royal cruise. As good as the new Edge class ships are, I personally do not feel they are getting the same amount of traction in the cruise market with younger cruisers.
Virgin uses the same beach club, they just change the sign around. Yall need to try them!
I've got to ask you guys your opinion. I'm currently booked 9 nt Southern Caribbean on the Cel. Ascent and the day I get off, I take a taxi to Miami to hop on the Symphony of the Seas for a 7-night Eastern Caribbean. I've never done Royal and wanted to try it after watching your series. It would have been great if Royal had a cruise before Cel Ascent, so I'm going for the Royal experience and relaxing on Cel. Ascent. Here is my question. If it were you guys would you do a back-to-back on the Cel. Ascent OR stay with my current Cel then Symphony side-to-side booking to taste both ships. It's just my mom and I cruising. There is an option to do 4 nights on the Symphony and then 9 nights on Celebrity Ascent. Your thoughts?
Cruise prices have definitely become wonky. Royal Caribbean prices are now comparable to "premium" cruiselines like Celebrity, HAL, Princess and Virgin. NCL isn't cheaper and Carnival is only slightly cheaper. Only MSC seems to be appreciably cheaper these days.
I did the same price comparison for a three night in July between Royal and celebrity, both going to coco cay, and was shocked to find how much cheaper celebrity was. I ended up booking the celebrity reflection and can’t wait to try it after your videos!
Wonder being the current latest Oasis class is getting premium prices, but it's a terrific ship. It along with Utopia are going to be doing 3 and 4 night rotations which I don't like.
Madeon - Icarus playing as you enter the beach, nice!
I suspect the price comparisons would not yield the same results if you were looking at dates outside the summer break season. Disney and Royal attract more families, which would justify the increased pricing since cruises have dynamic pricing based on demand.
Unless you’re a beach person, there’s nothing to do in Bimini. Everyone there wants to rent you a golf cart and the handful of shops are awful. All my opinion.
You Two are Perfect for each other,
Not sure that I would want to spend money to go on that excursion. Seems like a waist of money if you don’t gamble.
I agree with Brian. Some celebrity ships I have been looking at are cheaper than Royal. They moved independence over to Norway next year and its more expensive then celebrity apex. Or at least it was when I was researching it. We also got an amazing deal on celebrity Ascent Thanksgiving week compared to some of the royal ships
Hey guys love your channel so much. This was simply beautiful. Kind of funny they were playing Elton John throughout your video lol. ❤
The Midnights blanket! I’m dead! 😂 Fav Taylor song?
Doing a western carib on Wonder next year and the dining package is around 500 before any sale, routinely on sale though for around 350. Definitely not going to be spending anything close to the 3k difference for Disney for dining.
Now you want to see the real money? Look at Icon. I'm paying about the same for a balcony on Wonder than I would for an INTERIOR room on Icon for basically the same cruise just a week or two apart.
You may not believe it but y’all would probably really like Virgin Voyages. The reputation as “raunchy, sexual, etc” wasn’t really true in my experience. And you could certainly avoid that stuff anyway if you wanted to. I’ve seen almost every one of your videos and Y’all are similar to me and my wife on vibes and what you look for from a cruise and Virgin is really right up your alley in my opinion.
Loved your Bimini day and your review! Also love your dining experience at Lawn Club Grill! 🌅 I agree about the grass being a cool addition to the ship! I definitely would love to try Celebrity now after seeing your videos.
That pizza looked amazing.
