To answer the question about no chlorine smell, “NCl3 is formed when organic matter (eg, sweat, urine) brought by swimmers in the water reacts with the chlorine” Since no one’s been in the pool and sweat or peed in it, it wouldn’t smell yet!

We cruised on Apex (another Edge class Celebrity ship). The main pool is a full 25 yards. My husband swam a mile in laps during our Norway trip. It was kind of insane!
Have seen a few other feeds on TH-cam about the ascent but turned them off because they were boring, then as everyone else is saying you guys come along and wow love your enthusiasm and the ship so thanks for sharing and as usual I will patiently wait for more ❤ we are booked on sun princess in June I hope it’s as nice x

First time watching you guys, but I watch a lot of cruise content. I’m going to be on the celebrity edge in June going to Alaska. I’m sure it’s gonna be very similar, but there’s nothing like being on an inaugural cruise in a brand new ship! Now I’m a bit jealous.😆

Some bugs usually surface during the first few voyages. Very nice video, you point out some real nice things aboard the ship. btw, Celebrity spaces are mostly Celebrity spaces but yes, Eden is like 2070 in some ways. Celebrity does foyers, not atriums or centrums, and they've expanded the idea somewhat here with the Grand Plaza. The Solariums started with the Century class in the 1990s and got expanded with the Millennium class. Crafts Social is their sports bar but there are some sports bar aspects to areas of the Club as well, a "multipurpose" area of the ship and where a lot happens.
I don't think that's correct. It is only on the Millennium class as far as I know because that one is a thellasotherapy one. I don't think the ones on the Solstice class are though.

We’re going on the Beyond at the end of April and this is a great preview. I was hesitant on booking the rooftop garden grill, but now I might have to try it.
We ate at Eden on our last night on the Beyond. It was amazing. I had to be rolled out of there because I couldn't stop myself from eating everything on my plate. We'll be on the Ascent in January & I can't wait to go again.
I think they jumped the gun a bit because this JUST happened! Croatia was actually a few weeks ago but Celebrity is doing test and media cruises last week and this week before the Inaugural cruise this weekend (Matt from Royal Caribbean Blog is going on the media cruise tomorrow)

Smell of chorine around pool area comes from reaction that occurs when chlorine interacts with urine and sweat. If you would smell chlorine just because there was so much of it in the pool then it would be dangerous to go into that pool. Mark Rober has a video on it if you are interested ;)
Great video. You mentioned the food and it looked amazing but you two have to cruise Virgin. Wife and I just did 4 night Virgin and it was fantastic. All high end feeling restaurants.

Some of our favorites have moved recently to this and now their channels have become "full time TH-camrs" are more about money sourcing (commercials every 3 - 5mins of content; Interjections of product placements in the "middle" of their content; constantly mentioning "like and subscribe" ). We "get it" but sadly, have unsubscribed because if we wanted that experience, we'd just watch paid television. You both are successful because you are enjoying what you are doing, know who you are and what you want, and make wonderful content for anyone who LOVES cruising to enjoy! Oh cool! I just saw the ascent in the distance on Freedom OTS! I’m going on Beyond in 2025 so excited to see what these ships are all about! Love y’all’s vids
The reason for the area where the hull of the ship was exposed, is for the first inaugural sailing, the crew and they might let some passengers might be allowed also to sign the hull because they would be considered plank owners. I am a Navy veteran and the old ritual they have this when a new ship is commissioned and on it's first sailing this is done as way of looking back when it is decommissioned who was the first people to sail on its first sailing!!
Apparently the Ascent was completed ahead of schedule, so Celebrity decided to add several cruises ahead of the original December 3rd "maiden voyage". Another travel vlogger I follow actually cancelled his cruise, because he had paid a premium to get that 'first of everything' feeling, only to lose out. He was able to book last minute onto the actual first sailing, though. 😎

I just got off the Celebrity Eclipse and my friend said the pool in the solarium was salt water, so it would have a lot less chlorine!
