Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl..... To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.

I've been binge watching all your videos since I came across your Explorer of the Seas vlogs - me and my boyfriends are planning on doing a similar cruise this summer and it was so helpful! You two remind me so much of us as a couple so I just love watching your super in-depth videos. You both really cram so much in on every holiday, I'm so impressed. Key lime is my fave and they have it in sugar free version. Meringue is intensely sweet...almost too much, but I get it every cruise!!!! At 74 we always do central location by elevators, you go up and down and are closer to everything!

I find being away from the elevator greatly increases your chances of getting a room, across from a crew access door...and those can bang every hour on the hour all day and night! :)

We stayed on the ship while at St. Thomas to do the slides and hit each of them several times because they were just that much fun! They should have named that ship Coco Cay of the Seas!

We were on this sailing too, it's so funny how different our Day 4 was. We did a 5 hour hike up a volcano and back on St. Kitts. It was an awesome accomplishment but I kinda wish we had a day like yours instead LOL. We about keeled over. Met you guys at starbucks one day, such a fun week!

Y’all are so cute and funny. I loved checking to see if the shark was real or gummy. Thanks for all the hours of entertainment while giving us a sense of the expected experiences of these spaces. Also, on the Wagyu (and filets in general)… if you had it cooked medium, you won’t experience the flavor and tenderness as much as if it was medium rare. Thus it’s harder to tell the difference.

We also had a spacious, infinite Oceanview balcony, and our AC stayed on when the window was down. I’m not sure if we had something set on the thermostat that way. But it would stay running window down or window up.
Love your videos! We’re from Orlando too. So cool how all you cruise vloggers were sailing the inaugural cruise! Saw you interviewed by Jojo on his video. Loved your video when you got that crown Loft Suite. We had one on Oasis when it was new and it really spoiled us for all our future cruises. Looking forward to our Icon cruise but we have to wait til November!😮 By then we’ll know everything about that ship. We’re doing the same itinerary because we haven’t been to St. Kitts and we love St. Thomas. We booked Chops Grille too. We usually book cabins by the elevator as well. We look at the deck floor plans to find them. On Icon we’re doing a “guaranteed oceanview balcony” so who knows where we’ll wind up. Thanks for the tip about ordering more croutons and thanks for filming all these. They’re great!!

I can understand why the steaks seemed the same. Wagyu has more marbling, but filet mignon doesn’t have much fat contact, so it’s going to be hard to tell a difference.
Why didn't you talk to the rest. mngr? You should have complained, they would've taken the charge off easily, "Ye have not because ye ask not" We will get our third block on Icon in September as well. I planned that out! But I don't like the new block design because it doesn't match our other blocks...oh well.
I would have talked to the server and tell them you two tasted both steaks and yours was not the upcharge steak.

most people become sleepy when their blood sugar is high so that's probably what happened. this happens because the body can more efficiantly lower blood sugar when sleeping.
You guys should've complained about the Wagyu steak to the waiter, and have him ask the chef..

Have y'all ever tried the escargot? I was wanting to try it on my first cruise on the Carnival Vista but it was not on the menu. I am booked on the Carnival Jubilee in September and haven't seen it on their menus either. Also what's the fanciest or most exotic food y'all have tried on a cruise?
I don't think it was your steak in particular, I think Waygu is overrated in general. Just my opinion.
When you go on the slides, is there lockers to put your phones etc?

your mistake was not saying something to the waiter in the moment about the steak...those steaks were the exact same. that wasn't Wagyu
It is Wagyu, it's the type of cut and the way it's cooked that makes it so similar to regular steak (filet). If it was Wagyu strip, or ribeye, it would be much different and way more than $30.
I agree. You never hear elevator sounds in a nearby room on a cruise. I don't know why people keep perpetuating that myth. Hotels can be a different story for sure, depending on the building, but it never seems to be an issue on cruise ships. You're right about the composition of the rooms, too. Cruise ship cabins are built as a metal cube box on shore and placed into the ship fully completed and furnished. It's totally different in a hotel that has regular drywall between rooms and hallway.
