About the Red Lobster thingie. i don't know...well, at least it's corporate social responsibility--see no problem in that. at least they're brave enough to hold themselves accountable to the things they do. good for them & good for the community as a whole.

You don't understand what he means. He protects it as in not hunting it to extinction, but still catches them to eat them. For example if they said if they catch a large lobster they'll put it back, because those will produce the most offspring

I can only describe the taste as... salty but also fresh and kinda tender? It kinda reminds me of shrimp, crab and clams if you’ve tasted those before. So if you don’t like seafood, you probably won’t like lobster. I personally really like lobster though.

Don’t they also notch the claws on female lobsters that’s what I was told when I was in Maine
If it is an egg bearing female lobster and it has not been previously notched they will cut a small "V" notch in one of the tail flippers (not the claws) and return it to the water so that if she is caught again, but with no eggs on her, they will see quickly that she is a female and return her to the water. This is the practice in Maine, along with minimum and maximum size limits, that helps to keep lobster fishing a sustainable business.
