@@aero2507 You don't have to be a genius to do it the right way. I'll mention the most absurd point: there's something called "Oil Pan Drain Plug Seal Ring" (made of aluminium). You replace it at every oil change service. Do not use water blocking tape to seal the drain plug.
Wouldn't use PTF tape on sump bolt thread. It just needs a new washer if other one is no good. You don't want that tape getting up in sump.
Always fill the oil filter to capacity and let it sit. And always use a torque wrench on spark plugs!
