just recently got into factorio this is insanely impressive, i cant imagine the amount of hours you have put in just perfecting the game and blueprint designs, as a new player (only 50 hrs into main world) i spend alot of time just thinking about the most optimal setups and you have everything down from the get go ! im sure your a human wiki irl haha
Do the coal rocks stay marked on the map if you drag them with the deconstructer in the first few seconds or do you simply remember where they are? Ive been trying this run and I find myself running around wasting precious minutes getting the 400 stone from coal rocks at the start. I could get to 400 stone faster by mining regular rocks, but that means no/less coal.
They stay marked with an X and a red dot on minimap but the red dot on the minimap only shows when you get close enough, so it's ideal to remember... I'm also trying to get better at this, I'm terrible at taking that mental image when I drag.
@@TeamMacIntyre Ive been "cheating", using a mod that shows the coal rocks on the preview map, taking a screenshot and then planning a route based of that. Just for practice, of course.

Personally I'm extremely angry this elite speed runner has alarms in his run that he uses to remember things and be faster ... Terrible speed run pretty sad if you ask me ;)

I wan to ask if the rules was change for speed-run? I remember, that it was not allowed to use pre-create blueprints.
So for the 100% category you can use blueprints and set any map settings you want. Other categories have different rules :)

Ooo wow.. 4:15.. is a massive shave off time!
This was some blueprint modifications and 6+ weeks of non stop attempts since the last PB. Lot of hard work for sure! I knew a 4:15:xx was possible
