How the Taliban Took Over Afghanistan. Again. | Start Here

  • On July 8, President Biden said a Taliban takeover of Afghanistan was “highly unlikely”. On August 15, they were in the presidential palace in Kabul. They’ve declared an “amnesty” across the country and urged women to join their government. But can they be trusted?
    Many Afghans fear the Taliban will revert to the brutal way they ruled Afghanistan in the 1990s. Women are afraid that the rights they’ve gained in the last 20 years will be lost. And thousands are trying to get out - resulting in desperate and chaotic scenes at the airport in Kabul.
    How did the Taliban takeover happen so fast? And what does this mean for Afghanistan and the people there? #AJStartHere with Sandra Gathmann explains.

    The problem I had with Bidens statement is that US should have thought about the exit strategy years ago. They should have negotiated for a power sharing agreement with Taliban when they were in total control. Not after making an announcement for packing and leaving. What they did was pack up and leave and yes that was abandonment.

      FIRST OF ALL its not our fault, problem or responsibility. Leave them to fight for themselves WE should not have gone over there in the first place. We have economic issues and problems in every major city IN AMERICA. We need to stop playing God and fix this Country. Biden is the 4th President to deal with this. Why did Pakistan allow the Taliban to recruit and live in the northern regions of their country for the past 20 years? Don’t tell me that some of their leaders were not complicit in helping them. Osama Bin Ladin was housed in Pakistan. I would trust no-one in that part of the world. Their treatment of their own people is atrocious.
      And the globalists expect us to want to live as one society? What a disgusting thought. And Trudeau wants this for Canada. Time for our society to stand up and voice loud and clear, that we must have a say in our own futures. Whatever the plan is to bring our world to heel to please the mad people behind globalism, we have to find a way to stop them. They are very rich, and have been able to bribe too many politicians and branches of government. But we so far are allowed a vote. We must be wise and make them work in our favour.

    • @CapitanNaufrago
      @CapitanNaufrago 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That deal had strict conditions that the Taliban didn't keep. At that point the Americans should have stayed as they didn't keep their side of the agreement. Biden had total control plus he already had broken the agreement by not leaving in May. So once he saw how bad the situation was he could have completely stopped. Yet he didn't. If they knew thousands of Americans had still not left, why not use the Taliban breaking the agreement to stay until they could at least evacuate? Why not stay in at least Kabul after they saw how quickly cities were falling? No excuse.
