AYY comments-section shouted out. I just started this game recently and there is just simply no one making content for it so all the 'guides' are two years out of date. Really appreciative that there's someone doing fresh playthroughs just like I am so I can learn by watching.
Been a year and a half since I played Icarus and over 400 hrs in the game. I have missed out on a lot. Thanks for getting me back into it! I am enjoying watching your gameplay. Keep up the great work!
About the disappearing floors: since wooden pieces do not have a proper foundation piece, stability is always a issue. I like to start with a central wood piece, then add 4 pillars that go into the ground, fully consolidating that piece of floor and then build around it. I also like to rush stone as fast as possible for the base, even if it's just a small 3x3 or 3x4 before expanding too much. On the amount of animals that spawn, it seems to be the default state for hard difficulty - they spawn and hone in on the player / player base waaay more than on normal or easy.
Epic way to end the episode. Viking Funeral for your old base. Wow. When you started the episode you said you were over 200 Subs. As I watched it on 03/22 you're at 533. Way to go. Keep 'em coming.
I probably would have put down more supports on that ground level. I would also put walls around the foundation. mainly because I have had wolves under my bade eating the floors before. All around good base so far.
I love the series keep it up the build is dope and if you can when you can get into the new shotguns their crazy powerful and the obsidian armor is the truth 👍🏿💪🏿
Regarding Miasmic. The axe is for sure the one thing you should prioritize when you reach tier 4. But for pickaxe I actually enjoyed the coldsteel pickaxe the most. You will get extra ore encased in ice, which you can smelt in various machines. These extra ores can be anything of silica, sulfur, iron ore, copper ore, gold ore.
Im completly new to the game I was lokking for some playthroughs to get a clearer build if i wanna buy it for myself. I enjoyed Valheim for a while but i dont like the setting that much. Im intrigued by the Talent system and the way to spend money at the station. I think im going to buy it soon, thanks to you and your playthrough i really enjoy watching it. I hope you can show the posibilities of different Buildings in the different bioms? The waterfall base sounds nice
Welcome to Icarus, prospector! It's a great game, hope you enjoy it. Once I'm set up in a nice tier 4 base I'm definitely going to build more, out in the volcanic area and possible the swamp
In the next or coming parts, could you summerize the overall goals of the game and series? Much like Valheim exploring, collecting, upgrading I understand that. Is there a final type of mission to "complete" the game, or is it intended to add more tiers of gear to bring you deep into future tech? this doesn't have bosses the way Valheim does, and that is okay, I'm enjoying how relaxing this is
This game also has a "final boss" and missions. I'm going to be building the mission board and completing all of those. Each of the three maps have their own sets of missions.
Very happy to follow. But you are late. In order to keep animals away from the house, there is a device in the development series that sprays a mist. You can make it
The Good : Excellent job building a story, stripping out the most boring farming parts The Bad : You are culprit of the crime of putting me back into playing Icarus, which I overdosed a few months ago after 1600 hours of gaming The Ugly : Fire starter ! Arsonist ! We, Group 15, will keep you in our sight for the foreseeable future !
Thanks for watching! Icarus is one of those time burning games for sure haha. Speaking of burning... Group 15 is going to have more than a thief to look out for
The plan to build atop the waterfall was just a wasteful vanity project from start to finish, really. Were you planning on installing a lift/elevator for every time you wanted to go prospecting or hunting resources Bit silly really... Your time and resources would have been better spent (and earlier) getting the stone upgrade done, anyhow. Every time you spoke of "wake-up calls" to get this done, the keener you afterwards seemed to get in putting it off in favour of something else - like the mountain eyrie LOL! The game is not really about getting fantastic views - otherwise it would be a real estate speculation game, wouldn't it?
I've really enjoyed your content and hope you continue with the long-form style and relaxing commentary. Glad to have found this channel. Cheers.
Welcome! There's more coming soon
WHEN YOU TOOK OUT THE TORCH LMFAOOOOO
😂

Glad you are enjoying it! Hope it is helpful, happy to hear you are jumping into Icarus!
The funeral of fire for the old base that was never struck by lightning. Appropriate. Thanks for a great episode! 👍

Thanks so much! Yes I record a couple days before i edit and upload, things have grown quite a bit! Excited to keep making more videos for everybody.
Your refusal to build a stone house is impressive 😂
😂 big upgrades are coming!

I definitely recommend building a surrounding wall around the bottom, I end up doing that later on
This channel has exploded! And rightly so, you are so good at this.
Thank you!

I am definitely planning on getting a creature deterrent in the future, I want to get the electric powered one though

Finally unlocked the Miasmic tools last night. Those materials will kill you fast if you’re not careful 😂😂 so worth it though. Hundreds of epoxy 🤤
its so good! I'll have mine up and running soon
I enjoy watching while I play. But just a tip it might help if you tried to have less of a monotone voice.
I think the voice and delivery is excellent. I can’t stand unnaturally enthusiastic commentary.
I also find his voice relaxing, I think its an excellent delivery for game commentary
Not every commentary has to be in an ADHD 12 year old TH-camr voice.

Haha true, but I also want to take my time and make a lovely base to come home to. Eventually you can make a giant staircase to reach the upper areas.
