Dude! I have 1500 hours in Icarus and I watch several content creators' playthroughs, and I just now learned, with this episode, about holding the Alt key to pan the camera while I move forward. Always good to learn something new. Thank you!
Beacons do not need to be made early game. Craft the CONT4CT device, do some missions from it. Look for any mission that uses a beacon. Select that then start the mission. After you have collected the items from the shuttle, use the escape menu and order a resupply. You now have 2 beacons. Complete the mission for the Ren and a good handful of xp points. Pick up the beacon and take it home with you. Note - the mission where you need to put the beacon up on a tower, remove the floor/beams supporting the beacon. It will fall and appear in an overflow bag. The beacon seems to be 'locked' to its place on the tower, removing its support seems to be the only way of picking up the beacon.
I love how you have shown the game, which makes me want to grind it. But with that being said, would you do a Talent point and solo point and teach tree videos from stat to in-game of the things you need and things not to waste a points in or learning. Thanks for sharing your Icarus experience with us
I have a video here showing my talent points, my solo points are the resource-focused ones, and the one that shows enemy health bars. th-cam.com/video/p8gJnRuk0Zk/w-d-xo.html
This is an awesome play through! Thanks for making it! So many of the “big” survival game content creators have moved on but we have 3 gamers in my family and 1 computer so I love being able to get my icarus fix when I can’t get on the computer.
Thank you! Yeah one of the whole reasons I started doing the series is because I wanted more Icarus content. Hopefully more people come back to it when the new map expansion drops
I generally skip the Forge and craft the Foundry. Also learned first time to rotate the camera with Alt. There is a big cave in the Arctic Biome which has quite a few titanium nodes. Just go straight once you enter the biome from the closest passage to your base and head straight till you hit a corner.
Haven't played this game, it slipped by me somehow despite being a genre I actively follow :/ Enjoying the playthrough, will probably pick the game up next time it goes on sale, if you get an affiliate link be sure to put it in the description!
Loving your playthrough. Makes me want to do a fresh run with all the newer stuff. How did you get a clean start? Delete the game files? I hate to loose the characters I have all leveled up if I can.
You press the space bar to make the moa jump, but it is a little finicky. I think you have to be at a complete standstill/not using sprint at the moment for it to work.
Hi, Gr8 playthrough so far, Q- How is your map player icon white? mine is red and because i'm color blind its damn near impossible to see the icon without changing the map to the "black" background. Thanks
Thank you! Unfortunately I don't think you can change player icon color. The white you are seeing is the moa I'm riding, it stacks the moa's triangle on top of my red icon

Yes definitely a good tip, crafting beacons can be very expensive

Tu 3 is probably the original Tu. He probably ran away after being attacked. The wall had been broken from the attacker.
Hm, possibly. I'm not sure why it allowed me to re-claim him as a new mount though.
You have a great thing going here. Definite long-term sub from my side.
Thank you so much!
Awesome channel. Loving this series.
Thank you! There's much more to come
My fav ICARUS player
Thank you for being here!
I’ve never played Icarus. Looks like a good game. The play through is great. Keep it up!
Thank you! It is a ton of fun
shotgun knife is my go to in Icarus
The waterwheels going the wrong way pisses me off more than it should
Haha, they will get fixed!
great content, man! Icarus is grindy AF!
Thank you! Yeah it can be a grind, but I actually enjoy that part of it haha

Oh glad to help! Nice to know, I'll have to check that out
love the top on wood to sticks to sap for better return on the resources..
Glad it helps!

That’s great, glad you are planning to get it! I’ll definitely do that if I can get an affiliate link.
The wood into sticks for resin great

Thank you! I created a second steam profile and did family game sharing to it.
Alteration bench 2 is awsome with huge bonus on pickaxe, weapons etc. Would absolutly use that...
I'm a huge fan of the attachments! You already know since I saw you commented on that episode, but I am glad I got it up and running.
Anyone know what key is used to make the Moa jump? I swear i pressed everything I could think of when i got mine

I’ve found that I don’t need keep the animals fed or watered until I need them for outings then I just hand feed them to top off.
Yes that's definitely a fine way to do things. Especially using the seed animal feed for the buffs

awesomesause
I don't think that one Moa tamed itself. I think that was the one you said died and it just got out. I could be wrong.
I thought that as well, but I don't think it would have let me claim it as a new mount like it did. A real mystery!
Can reuse beacons from smple mission "lost base" for map icons. Eliminating crafting costs.
True! Another reason to start giving those a shot on Prometheus.
The tower mission as well gives you a beacon ('resupply' after you pick up the first beacon).
there's a few strange plants around near you...
🤔strange plants you say...
Bypassing cold steel pickaxe? Obsidian knife..
I know a lot of people love that cold steel pick. I prefer the miasmic version. Obsidian knife is definitely useful too.
@@dannyrothko absolutely, just might help the grind to miasmic some. ❤
