One of the best TH-cam videos ever. Love the "Interruption" that was awesome. Wish more videos were this well made. Buying 2.0 Fox for a 2007 Hummer from Shocks Surplus today.
It's good practice to fully tighten shocks or other suspension once the vehicle is off any jacks/stands and sitting back at it's resting height. Avoids any binding of mounting bushes. Just trying to help you avoid another refrigerator type incident. 😜👍🇦🇺
for the rear droop originally had 22.5 and with fox shocks got 23 1/4 in., he said that was a 1 1/4 in. difference but that only 3/4 in. according to my math, I enjoyed the vid tho thanks man
@@LRC247 solid axle steering should not need a stabilizer to be smooth or to prevent a wobble. If you have a shimmy, either parts are loose, worn out, or the geometry is off. Sometimes it's a combination of all that. So alot of the time you see it happen more to modified vehicles that have budget style lift kits without readjusting the suspension and steering geometry to compensate for the new ride height and angles of the suspension system.
Can you please find out if they make cool spring to Match the shocks? I run a triton in Australia with Nissan GQ patrol diffs and want a full kit but can only find shocks?
I installed these Fox 2.0's recently and noticed my Rancho RS5000X shocks are just as good and not as rough. I'm returning these because I can not justify the $450 cost! Fox shocks are way overrated.
Both of these are subjective replies to what exactly your looking for in a shock. The fox ones are stiffer because they are ment to handle off-road bumps and bangs without bottoming out. With that said if your springs are wore slap out it doesn’t help anything. If your looking for smooth rides on asphalt. Go with soft ride shocks. Going stiffer may mean your wheels stay on the ground increasing control but it also means you feel a lot of what your driving on.
I have a 2018 jeep Sahara JL 2.0 turbo I picked up 2021 Jeep gladiator Fox suspension, will it on my Jeep Sahara? if not please explain and if there’s a way I can reach out to you a number of something
i have a jk stock suspension im thinkin on get this shocks, wich are the one you put on this jl, FOX Performance Series 2.0 Front and Rear IFP Shocks for 1.50 to 3.50-Inch Lift or 0 to 1-Inch Lift?
My question is how come all aftermarket shocks always has some kind of improvement but they fall back on protecting the rod going in and not having a standard sleeve instead of the generic ugly sleeve that looks like a spring and having a twist tie hold them on don't make sense

Lol wow, "this will fix deathwobble." Please don't give out bad info like that. Death wobble is not fixed by a stabilizer.
Exactly. It only masks the real problem.
Right but having a solid stabilizer will make it a more oh shit I need to pull over wobble, not death
@@mcbaited5455 until the extra stress snaps the tie rod end.
@Jeepjeep234 is that really true?

Really thinking of these. Shocks are my next mod as a winch & bumper are all over.
Make sure to properly torque. It's 80 ft lbs on the upper and 75 ft lbs on the lower shock bolts.
Does it improve on road ride quality? Hoping it takes away the boat feeling(swaying) you get at speed on the highway.
Yes it does. I have them on a 2.5” lift and ride has significantly stiffened.

Do you have a part number on those shocks? I like them and need those for my Stock Rubi!
what is ride quality like with fox shocks vs stock? is the ride smoother on the road? specially if you lift the jeep
No, its typically a bit stiffer but does a better job at dampening the bumps.

@@Daronvines do they really make it soft riding shock? I’ve never heard of one.
@fox do you know the torque specs for the front shock upper bolt on a Gladiator? Thank you!
That harbor freight jack and jack stands tho.... 😅
Sweet hill. Great video.
did you install fox shocks in the refrigerator also
Best fox shocks for my 2000 jeep tj...3" lift...?
What is the part number for the JL steering stabilizer?

Do these have adjustments for soft/hard settings
Hiw much torque u put front back and up down
Great video
@3:10 I am a maintenance tech and lemme tell you not every refrigerator can be fixed. Sometimes its not worth the headaches.
I wish he would of measure from center of wheel hud to fender
did you have to reinforce the coils and track bar or control arms?
Why would you have to reinforce any of those components for replacement shocks? Your question makes no sense.

Can I have those OEM Jk shocks?
You can have mine. I just pulled them off and put the Fox shocks on.
$400 and they're all yours! 😄
Wow it looks taller
how much does the rebuild cost? 90% the cost of the shock? So why rebuild...
Full kit is $800?
Good lord
He,obviously works for fox racing, gets a huge % off his shocks for this video
Probably for the front coil overs...
Your wife and my wife think exactly alike.
Dam where’s the torque wrench?
Fox shocks did not work. For me made the ride even rougher
Someone isn't good at math either. 22.5" to 23.25" is .75" not 1.25".
Don't buy fox mine started leaking after 10 miles
She should be grateful instead.
Jeep people will buy into Fox just like they bought into the Jeep at ridiculous prices for what you get
