- We are converting a Evinrude Etec 75HP to a 90HP using a Evdiagpro.com EDF file.
1A We open Evdiag
1B we connect to our current EMM. (key Switch on to power EMM)
2 we open the exports folder on Evdiag to verify the current EDF has been automatically backed up.
2B Edf Folder is where Evdiag auto saves your edf
3 we copy that file and we send it to Evdiagpro.com with our order.(We use outlook, you can use gmail or any email you use)
4 we provide to Evdiag pro our Evdiag Auth Id to receive our release which authorizes us to program EMM's (this also can be done
with the password of the day if you have access to the BRP portal)
5 we add our release code to our Evdiag. ( we press and hold "CTRL KEY" and double click on brp logo at the same time
5B we copy the code and we send to Evdiagpro.com
Evdiag, will provide you with a Release code, we paste it and and press "ok"
Note bottom left of screen says "Dealer" Now, if code is correct, has to change to "Distributor"
Its red Because expires in less than a month.
6 we add our new 90HP edf provided by EVdiagpro.com to the exports folder to our computer.
7 open Evdiag again and go to EMM recovery ( this is to blanc current EMM, also know as cold test)
Press Next (etec I means etec Inline models)
Be sure you pick Correct EMM model ( stamped on physicals EMM)
(Im picking 586759 because is the one I have, you have to pick-up your model if is different)

Begin EMM Recovery
8 close program after cold test is load "DO NOT PRESS ON DATA TRANSFER" (otherwise you will load old EDF again)
Key Switch on
9 open EVdiag again, CONNECT and you will see ( cold test on bottom right)
10 go to utility / prepare new EMM
11 select new EDF 90HP whe says "Donor Data File" (the one mailed to you).
12 select proper Software ( on my case 3030373) yours may be different according your engine model.
13 Install Boot Strap on your engine Harness (if you don't have, you always can ground PURPLE/WHITE wire on your keyswitch (ex choke wire)
that is what bootstrap does just grounds that wire and Key Switch on
Key Switch ON
14 Confirm Bootstrap
15 Upload Engine Map
16 when finished loading map / remove bootstrap and press "OK"
17 key switch on and "reconnect to EMM"
18 Press "Data transfer to EMM"
