This piano has an unbelievably warm tone, to the point of sounding muffled almost. So much so the thought even occurred that it might be strung in cat gut rather than steel wire, but of course that cannot be! It must be strung in the older iron wire rather than steel wire.
I feel that Davidsbündlertänze and Faschingsschwank aus Wien are terribly under-appreciated I don't think there will ever be enough recordings of his music
