- A kind subscriber told me about this hack. You will need rubbing alcohol, a syringe/pipette and of course dried up alcohol pens.

I did know that the alcohol worked for reviving markers, but it is always good to watch someone try it on their pens first! Another tip, you can revive your water based makers with water and glycerol (probably about 10% glycerol). I've done it with some Stabilo markers. I tried pulling the nibs out but often it can be better to unstopper the other end. I did have a few mishaps, but if the other alternative was to throw it out, a mangled end cap is not too great a price to pay!
Hi Jude, that is good to know. Thank you 🤗💖
Yellow ochre marker... Revived! I have bottles and bottles of isopropyl, a staple in all homes in my country. I'm amazed to find such a cool use for it. Thanks for this video!
Thanks for the video Lucy, I'm glad someone finally did a video like this and demonstrated the process. I definitely have markers that are dry. I will put the alcohol to the test! 😁
Hi Pamela, I actually cant believe how simple this was. I wish I had known ages ago! 🤗💖
Awesome !!! You can also create your own alcohol blending market that way with a clean empty marker barrel and a new nib .
Hi Alisia, its a great hack isnt it 🤗💖
That’s a great tip I’m annoyed with myself just thrown out about 30+ marker pens in the bin and purchased another set but will know what to do now thank you for sharing your tip x
Hi Rhona, Oh no! I did the same, annoyingly, with some of mine before I knew about this hack. 🤗💖
Thanks for sharing this one with me I really appreciate it
Omg so exciting even though alcohol is in high demand here in the states this is fantastic! Luckily I stocked up on it and paper products in March 😁😁😁. I hope you are still on the mend!
Hi Cherie, I couldn't believe it was as simple as this to get them going again. I am pleased it was helpful. Let me know how you get on with it 🤗💖
This is a GREAT in a pinch solution and can be done every couple of regular refills. So you still need refill ink but not as much. If you don't do regular refills at some point the ink will lighten and simply not give you the color payoff you need.
Hi Marilyn, you are correct, but what a joy to know you have a little longer with your markers before you have to buy some more 🤗💖
Awesome tip! Great to know I can revive a marker that has dried out, thank you!
Thank you for doing this Tutorial! My alcohol marker had dryed out so I looked for a tutorial to fix it and found this Video and it worked ty!
Wow! Isopropyl alcohol is expensive in Britain. Here a bottle like that would be under $2. Thanks for sharing this technique v
Thanks!!! It worked for mine! I use Comic and TouchFive markers and it fixed both kinds!! I am so grateful

It worked so well, Debbie. I wish I had known sooner 🤗💖
Brilliant tip. I've spent a lot of money on a large set of alcohol markers and already had a pot of rubbing alcohol so you could well have saved me a lot of money now I won't throw any away but will try your tip.

Interesting ty for this
You are very welcome, Emma 🤗💖
Tank you
Will this work the same with 50% isopropyl alcohol wintergreen?
Can we use sanitizer
I tried this but I totally messed up my marker in the process. Will have to try again!
Hi Kitties, I was so shocked by the great results. Maybe you could give it another go when a pen runs dry 🤗💖
Great video! Do you know if this will work with a colorless blender? I just bought it and it’s dry.
I think it will but I would try on something not precious first x
Wow! Thank you for this! How many drops did you add? 2-3?
You are welcome Yazmin. Yes not many add a few at first and see if that is enough 💖🤗
About 3 millimetres is perfect on just one side.
Does this work on the brush end to
I dont know to be honest I have not tried xxx
💛🖤💛🖤
🤗💖
It worked but i used hand sanitizer
I'm so disappointed. I was excited to try this and drop after drop after drop and letting it sit a bit before adding more, up to 18 drops and still nothing. And I know the marker isn't dry because I have barely used it. I'll try another marker but I was sad this didn't work on the first one I tried.
Oh no I'm sorry to hear that. It honestly did work on mine xx
Does peroxide works?
I am sorry I don't know
Okay, seriously, what did I do wrong???????? I’ve got a marker that doesn’t even show when used, I put alcohol in the marker, shook it a bit and it didn’t work… just see with alcohol
maybe you put too much in?
@@lucyjustaddscolour-adultco3135 I put like 3 drops and it didn’t work :(
@@Dilemma.75 im sorry to hear that. maybe that one was too far gone.
@@lucyjustaddscolour-adultco3135 yea maybe…. He’s gone to the light now 😔😖
@@Dilemma.75 awww RIP marker 😇
I see she’s using 70% alcohol, the bottle I have is 50% alcohol… Has anybody tried a 50% bottle?
