That 2nd project. "That barn door" is an outhouse toilet lid
Oh maybe!!
That sign is soooooo wonderful. Dang, now there's something else I'm going to have to start collecting!
Have fun 🤩
I absolutely love the blue and white chippy sign. They're all great.
Thanks 😊
Ontario to the East Coast has such great old, vintage, antics finds. It was my guilty pleasure when living out East.
I agree! So many barn finds that are fabulous
Of course I FOUND YOU!❤ I'd definitely have to KEEP the Vintage Junk piece!!!
Yes!!
I love watching your videos because you do the same techniques that I do, so I feel like I'm visiting with a friend. I have also made a video a few years ago on the crackle paint technique.....I love that technique. I love all of your ideas. I'm a trash to treasure girl and just like to collect all the wood things I can. Thank you for sharing your great ideas....I love them 😊 Hugs....Janie
That is awesome!
Love how you made that sign out of the back of a chair! So cool!
Thank you! 😊
I’ve seen most of these before but that first chair back is a show stopper. It is so beautiful 🥰 I don’t mind admiring it again. The black and the color of the wood together was so beautiful to me. I definitely would’ve bought it. Personally, I would change the white center after purchasing. I would’ve stuck with the black and wood if it matched. The white definitely stuck out if that was your intention. It’s nice when you throw in new techniques or projects.
No piece of wood is ugly! Your transformations are beautiful and desirable. I've saved wood for many years but never really did much😢. Now I'm old and it's probably too late, but I've sure enjoyed watching this video. I'll check out your etsy shop. Thank you😊
Glad you enjoyed
Beautiful dress. Love that it is sleeveless
Thank you! 😊
I love that this video was so long.... I watched the whole thing. I love your signs and techniques

That first piece was beautiful on its own!
An amazing compilation! Love it ❤
Glad you enjoy it!
Your tutorials are amazing and so easy to follow. I feel 100% confident I can do this too because your an amazing instructor.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I'm so glad!
You are so gifted. Thanks for the inspiration. 😊
You are so welcome
I love the ivy growing up the side of the house
Thanks for watching
You have such an amazing ability to see beautiful things from other peoples’ garbage. Thanks for this compilation of so many wonderful technique. You’ve given me lots of ideas. Now, to find some scrap wood! Thanks, again.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I think if you added a handle on the right side of the tea sign towards the top you could make it look like a teapot.😁. A cabinet hardware handle might even work.🤷🏻♀️. I love watching you make signs from scrap wood pieces.
Great idea!!
Love your work, love your brain 😂❤❤❤❤ thank you for some great ideas. It has been awhile…I lost my mom and grief has just buried me. Thank you for the inspiration 😊
Oh sweetie I’m so sorry! I hope my videos can brighten your day just a little ❤️
Brilliant thanks from South Africa

New subscriber. I am soooo in love with these signs!!! You've totally inspired me. Wow!
Welcome!! Glad you enjoyed ❤️
I'm now highly motivated to get my garage cleaned out so I can store more wood. (Shh. .. I'll only tell my husband about the first half of that plan. 😂)
lol!! Lips are sealed
I think that second one covered an outhouse toilet
I love it ❤
Thanks 😊
I absolutely love your style!❤
Thank you so much!!
I LOVE THEM ALL❤😊
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed.
Fantastic work and technique s, I have used artist carbon paper for years! I use something to make a bridge so my hand doesn’t make dark marks where I don’t want them!
That's a great idea!
Thank you
You're welcome
I really like so many of these. I purchased some files last night and tested it out. Not sure what I did wrong… but it was a total fail. LOL. off to watch your video of more detail on how to do the modpodge thing. Love your projects. Thanks for sharing.
Hope it worked out for you
Thanks!
Thanks so much I appreciate the support ❤️
I love your ideas!!!
Glad you like them!
When you are doing crackle paint, can you use chalk paint and acrylic paint together for all of your colors? Also do you have to use real wood or can you do this on particle board? Love watching you turn all this old stuff into something new.
Any wood will work and you can use both paints
Bene idea
Absolutely love your channel ❤
Thank you so much!
Love your work
Thank you!
I love love your channel ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So glad your enjoying
You have the best videos!
Glad you like them!
I think I would given legs put two half legs for front and turn it in to hall stand
That unusual shaped piece looks like the side of a table. The straight area would be the top of the side.
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed.
Yeah I like the carbon paper transfer the best
❤️
This is an awesome video, thank you for the ideas!!! My favorite was the fresh herb one. 🙂 One question... Whenever I use water on wood (I use acrylic paint with a baby wipe for a stained look) the grain of the wood rises and I have to sand it down in order to lay my stencil, etc.... How do you stop the grain from rising when you're using the water to remove the paper? I used to do the polycrylic method like this before getting my silhouette....
Wonder what type of wood you’re using. I dont usually have an issue with. Cheaper pressed wood would do that. I use mostly solid pine
You’re really talented. 🙂
Thanks 😊
LOVE your video I'm getting ready to move into my first Brick and Mortar This will be PERFECT! THANKS BTW is that Crickets I hear? Aww the sounds of warmth lol
Glad you enjoyed ❤️
😊 someone started to make a harp
Maybe!!
"Chippy" has many synonyms..
You are such an old school !!!!
Thanks for watching
@@OurUpcycledLife❤😊 OP
Quick question. For an inside sign with a transfer, what are your thoughts on using the Mod Podge to seal it instead of the polycrylic? Thanks!
You can definitely use mod podge I just find that it’s quite thick and I don’t like the appearance of it. I prefer the poly sealer.
Is there a reason you paint across the grain of the wood? You also went across the grain when scraping salt off too? Do you achieve something by doing this? Not judging just wanted to ask so I can gleen any tips. Love you ideas and videos. Big fan.❤️😎🙏👩🏻🎨🇨🇦 thanks for sharing you talent😎
It just gives it more of a distressed look something you can just experiment with
I enjoy your creativity and projects are so doable but I wish you gave us more information like how much you marked it for sale. It would also be content for later to give us updates on whether or not they sold.

Also, when making shelf sitters, since they are going to be inside, do you use treated or untreated wood? I've read you shouldn't use treated wood. Thank you and sorry so many questions.
Always use untreated
Thank you!
Is there a website that you use to get your vintage-looking graphics and lettering ideas? Love your stuff and how you make it so easy
www.etsy.com/ca/shop/OurUpcycledLife
Would a fine bristle brush help with the removal of the paper on really weathered surfaces?
Yes it would!
Love all the different techniques, just a question though, are people really buying such items in these times of inflation? And if so, how much are they paying for it and does it really cover your expenses in terms of time and materials?
Yes I still sell this video will help

@@OurUpcycledLife That doesn't answer my question at all.
Where does everyone store their items like jars, etc till you can use them??
Well for me, they just kind of pile up in a corner lol until I get sick of looking at them and then I start my projects not very organized here
Would you happen to know how to transfer script on acrylic tumblers, I’ve done the circuit but it’s so difficult and I like the transfer methods you’ve done.
No, sorry
That first project is frame from church whitch held painting. Stop of Way of cross.
I never know what to charge for my signs.

Love your videos. I have a project I would like to do I have never explored my crafty side. (If I have one) ha My question is how would you incorporate pages from a coloring book on a sign? Let me explain. My 90 year old mom Has dementia. She likes to color and it is beautiful. I would like to make a few things with some of her pages. Can you tell me how to do this?
I have an Excel spreadsheet that I did formulas with and it goes by the size of wood and characters. I set up a price per square inch of wood and characters paint
@@donnalongo1848 would love to see it if u can share
I started out by letting the buyer choose the price (with a lowest price in mind) you might be surprised by how much you get!
I think it probably had a mirror in it for a vanity
Thanks for watching
What camera stand/holder do you use for the zoomed in recording?
Just an overhead clamp
Hello, loving your videos..I'm looking for where to order the paint pens..I can't find on the list....???

Is there a way to disguise or remove the Mod Podge residue left in the empty spaces and around the letters etc when you do the reverse graphic technique? I’ve asked this question before. That is the main thing I don’t like about it. This method would be much cheaper and less time consuming than the hand painting I do on my signs. I would love to be able to switch over for that reason. However, I know I would have a hard time selling them in my area unless I could resolve that issue. They look awesome from a distance. I just couldn’t bring myself to sell them with that showing. Is there a solution? Mod Podge is pretty much like a plastic coating. Would painting over those areas work? I know people use it to prevent bleeds when stenciling and then paint over it and say it turns out fine. Have you personally tried painting over those areas?
If you are getting that outline, it probably means that you are using too much mod podge. It is a thick product and if you’re applying too much that will show I do find if you paint over it and it is quite thin. It will not show so that could be your issue. Also, if you’re trying to do it on a coloured background instead of white, you definitely will see the outline because mod podge is not completely clear And that’s when I would go in with the paint colour to blend it in
I’ve only just discovered your amazing video tutorials. Well done! Just alerting you, though, to a typo (‘subscribe’ is misspelt). 🧐
Oh thanks! Glad you found me hope you find lots of great content
With your graphics can you print as many times u want?
Yes you certainly can
I am horrible about not knowing how to price signs ??? Also working on getting a printer and WiFi need to add stuff like these to my craft show booth🤷🏼♀️
Glad it was helpful
could you print on tissue paper ?
Sure could
Am I missing it? I don't see a link for the carbon paper or paint pens.

@@OurUpcycledLife thanks I saw that but I was wondering what YOU are selling them for.
It all depends on how I source my materials and cost so every item will differ
@@OurUpcycledLife okay but I'm just asking what you are pricing the items that you have in the video they've already been completed so can't you just give a price.
