    When I turned 60 years old last summer, I decided to try things I've never done before. Now that I'm retired I have time and a few extra $$ to buy supplies. I love this project and hope to find new projects to do in addition. Each of my finished projects are going into wicker trunks for each of my 4 grandchildren!! Thank you for this and I look forward to seeing other projects. It's fun for me and special memories for my grandchildren.

      Look up the hug sweatshirt/hoodie/t-shirt DIY project.
      You paint the ENTIRE inside of your arm (including your hands), up you your elbow and then while your grandchild/great grandchild is wearing said item above (with their arm’s raised); you carefully hug them.
      This gives them an item of clothing, that’s LITERALLY; a hug from you!
      They can do the same for you. Just with each of them using a different colored paint; to represent each grandchild/great grandchild. Now you have a hug from all of them! 😊

    As she is explaining the gel and colors, I’m practically yelling at the screen to hurry up because she just said she has to move really fast. I get so nervous when people say move quickly.😂😂😂 Needless to say, this looks so fun. I love creating stuff. Anything really, even enjoy building furniture. Love your pours! When I was a kid, a long long long time ago, we moved into a house that had a whole bunch of paint in the barn. One day I was bored so I decided to paint my old rusty roller skate box with these paints. I basically did what you guys did. I added layers and controlled splatters of paint on the box & it turned out to be the coolest psychedelic skate box on the planet... at least my local skate rink's planet. 😉 Everybody knew who that box belonged to. So much fun playing with paints like these. Thanks for sharing your how-tos.

    This was a lot of fun to watch. Loved both the vases and the wall art piece. The soft colors in particular looked ethereal - finishing it off with gold and an artsy gloss made it look professional. Would indeed make a lovely lamp base. Now I'm tempted to try just for fun.

      Please mask up ot take other super-safe precautions when using spray paints with fluids like acrylics. The microscopic plastic particles are not biodegradable--they will last virtually forever, and so over time regular spraying sessions will create a film of plastic coating on your lungs that will constrain your breathing. Fine artists 50 years ago didn't know of the dangers of frequent unprotected exposure, and some wound up by middle age having to carrying around portable iron lungs. Please be careful, and mind children and pets in the environment of your art work space!

    • @starrbowie8649
      @starrbowie8649 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't think that any acrylic or ither plastic-based paint was sprayed in this video, just some alcohol, but the general caution for crafters is valid!l

    Just for everyone who keeps saying that she isnt going fast enough or talking to much: Watch the video and learn then do your project. You do not have to do the project while you watch the video. Learn then create! And huge sgout out to both of these ladies for helping me expand my techniques and designs! You both did an amazing job and i love watching your videos!

    1:56a.m 11/5/23 nice creation but just too much conversation. . But I will do crafting with my toddler granddaughter, as long as she doesn't put paint toward her mouth and face. But I look forward to it. How about painting on canvas. Thanks for sharing.

    I’m only 3:40 in and I’m stressed out because she said you have to move quickly once A meets B but all there doing is talking. Ok back to the video, maybe I can focus now I got that off my chest. 😂

      Same. I can only handle a certain amount of talking and explaining anyways, but coupled with the need for haste, it was driving me crazy! Still too much chatting, so I turned on CC.

    So you waste a load of plastic acrylic paint and some nasty epoxy resin and chuck it all down the drain to create a naff looking vase 🤦‍♀️

      I do pouring over vases and after all the paint drips onto the plate I use a large paintbrush to scoop up the paint and put it into a cup. I then might add another color to pour over another vase so it's 'recycled' paint. I stopped pouring on canvases because of the waste. I can safely say I haven't wasted more than 1/4 paint in 6 months. The waste was always a concern for me too.

      @@karenguglielmo254Very nice. I'm a staunch conservationist, so I detest waste and chemicals that can harm the environment. I hope that you recycle all of your supplies as well.

    Go a step further. I did the top of my TV stand. It was a cheap one from Goodwill. I fixed the vorners first. Its stunning! I used the colors in my living room. Everyone loves it! A friend after did a very small table. It's amazing also! She also did some small pictures with the same colors and hung them around the rim with some plain ones. We all love it.
