Yeah even I admit sometimes Lysinthia's "I am not a child" obsession is annoying but I get the humor in it and then again she is just so hard working that she can take that title and work with it. (Unlike some other prideful caster you might remember)

I mean when you have a unit who can actively compete with Byleth for stats you know she is insane. As on one route she was Paladin and still surprisingly fast. And in my current Golden Deer run I made her a Swordmaster. And she crits like crazy with the Goneril Valkyries support and the Cursed Sword in her hands.
Ashe, Bernie and Lysithea. The best children in the game. Ashe is such a cute and pure boy. If you want great JRPGs, play the legend of Heroes. The Trails series is truly amazing. I just hope they bring Cold Steel 1&2 on the Switch, although I'm gonna play it on PC.
She was one of my top marriage choices in my first playthrough (Golden Deer), alongside Marianne, Dorothea and Mercedes. It ultimately came down to her and Marianne; Lysithea had a tragic past and shortened lifespan and I at least wanted to give her a happy ending, while Marianne has been praying to be with the goddess, and since Byleth possessed Sothis, I kind of wanted to choose her. But the silver haired cutie is my waifu forever!

If you combine Thyrsus + Valkyrie + Black Magic Range +1 from mastering reason and what you've got is 6 range black magic spell which is unsuprisingly pretty stupid broken because then Lysithea can snipe an enemy and then just canto away without endangering herself and that fairly consistently

Fire Emblem 3H is my favorite game of 2019 I enjoy the DLC and only need to finish Church route. Currently my favorite route is Golden Deer and love Claude as a lord.
Hey, I made Felix into a Mortal Savant and I haven't regretted it since. The class itself is meh at best, but somehow it works great for Felix (he can learn Thoron too). Mercedes was a Holy Knight in my playthrough (main healer). Best movement for Physic skill. Ashe was good as a Paladin as well.

Merciless Freak the thing is though many other three houses characters also have tragic childhoods. I also don’t know what you mean by lysithea moving the plot? Since three houses overly relies on supports to flesh out its characters you mostly have to rely on that for judging characters. And I’m sure they’re are some good supports for lysithea but most of them just do not leave a good impression. Her constantly talking about people treating her like a child while actively acting like a child. Or her being mean as shit to random characters like Ignatz for no fucking reason. People say “oh it reflects her condition”, no being ill doesn’t excuse your actions in any sort of way, thats not how it works. Gameplay is really the only aspect I would that she is likeable for me and even there people treat her like she’s the best unit even though characters like dimitri, edelgard, felix, sylvain exists. She’s at a high tier but not the best. I don’t know at least with other loved characters I at least understand the reasoning like claude or lorenz but in this case I don’t but hey you and many other are entitled to your opinion and I respect it
Merciless Freak I have a feeling you haven’t played maddening, where lysethia contributes very little at the beginning. Sylvain’s personaly skill along with early swift strike is pretty fucking good. Felix’s personal skill in the early game is also broken. Anyways, if you think lysithea is a perfectly developed character from start to finish than thats fine. I don’t agree with at all, I base characters on how fun they’re to be around and how deep they are as characters and their how good their character development is, and people like lysethia or bernadetta do not fit that criteria in my opinion.

You’re saying people like felix because he’s an edgy male, well I would argue that the reason most people like lysithea is because she’s a young prodigy girl with a attitude, who also one shots the death knight. I love characters that are inherently flawed but lysithea fails to be just that. She feels more like a rowdy teenager, and the good character trait she does have are outweighed by the negative. And no I don’t hate lysithea, its very hard to hate any of the three houses cast because they’re all made to be likeable or charming in someways. It’s just weird to me why lysithea, Bernadetta are so popular and why people claim they’re the best characters even though if you were to do an in depth analysis you would be able to summarize bernadetta’s personality with a single sentence.

Dude Lysithea is such a good magic unit. My friend plays a lot of Golden Deer and he wouldn't keep quiet about how Lys is such a beast in magic Combat. I played it myself, and I agree.
Berny has become my favorite character to use in fire emblem, she is always one of... if not my best character in every playthrough I’ve done. I’ve made her a mage, archer, flyer, cavalier, swordmaster, hell even an armored knight. She can do it all it feels. It’s not hard to get her rolling into any role you need and with tons of reliable supporting spells (Thoron for 3 range and rescue for saves/movement being highlights), easy access to lots of different weapons, and a great personal skill to get nearly free +5 damage ontop of solid growths... her and seteth are ridiculous
This video makes me want to finish Blue Lions now lol. Also, I love gold sooooo.... much (I used her to weaken nemesis a LOT with her crest) Marianne was also an amazing mage for me (if you make her a dark flier then she’s nuts).
My only problem with Three houses characters is that the way they’re presented to you the player is very formulaic (I do think the characters are good on paper though). Every character, with some exceptions, has a single trope that dictates how they present themselves outside of supports (Sylvain horny, Leonie horny for Jeralt, Dimitri horny for revenge, etc). When you do have supports with characters, they essentially do a 180 that contradicts any conclusions the player would draw from how they act outside of said supports and too often characters that are motivated by conflict and trauma are motivated by conflict and trauma that stems from their parents or guardian-like figures. It gets really annoying after a while when I see Sylvain go from lover boy to secretly smart and Ferdinand from annoying noble to perceptive and kind guy.
Every one has depression + personal trait...It's not awful but the game never decides if they personal trait is a joke or an soap opera drama... Bernadette is probably the worst, 90% of the time her ptsd is a joke them you get rank A support and SURPRISE LET'S HEAR 20m OF DOMESTIC ABUSE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL TORTURE but make it funny

On top of that, CLEARLY you werent paying attention to her b because she literally talks about it with you. Heck it was even censored soooooooo. I usually really despise the trope HIlda falls in. But they did such a great job with her character through supports and overall presentation (voice lines etc) that she's now very high on my list of favourite students. You can throw her on the battlefield wherever and she's going to obliterate.
Dorothea was the first girl I romanced and honestly, that S-support was so heartwarming and wholesome that my heart nearly skipped a beat. She really is one of the sweetest girls, and acts as sort of like a big sister to them, especially Bernadetta. Mercedes, because yeah, I'm a bit of a mama's boy, sue me, also, she reminds me of Emma Millstein from Trails of Cold Steel, who acts as the mom of Class 7.
I think people who think Bernie is particularly unrealistic among the cast just don’t know a real life Bernie. Some people really do deliver panicked apologies for breathing.
Well, I think Constance makes Cindered Shadows worth it. She is NUTS. It is astounding how funny and NUTS she is. The others are...alright, but Constance is top tier character with top tier sense of humor. You can hear in her voice how much fun the VA is having voicing her.
I never realized that you never fight Marianne in the war phase because I started with Golden Deer and insta recruited her in the other routes. Fuuuuck her story is sad if you don't grab her.

I understand why you love Lysithea, as a unit I think only the lords are better, but I think Marianne is best girl. I'm kind of sad you did not mention Raphael, as he is a bigger more clueless and food oriented version of Caspar, but he is not very deep as a character. Also, if you included teachers, what do you think of Seteth? I'm curious, as Seteth is a somewhat controversial character.

Well, you lost me on Ashe, i think that he shares the title of most boring character in the game with Raphael, but you won me back with Lysithea on Number 1. That's what i call good taste. I have to say, that i'm more of a Golden Deer guy, most of my favourite characters in the game are in that house, but i really like Annette and Felix too, although i think that the rest of the Blue Lions are... well.. not my cup of tea. Simply because i HATE!! HATE!!!! Faerghus to... wow. ... no end. Of course, that's not the fault of these kids, but some of them just represent what i hate. Dedue, Dimitri and Ingrid in particular, and i know that Dedue isn't from Faerghus but he'd fit perfectly there. And i really like that you like Caspar, i think he is amazing. I personally think that lone wolf is a great ability in the early game. Later on youll get battailons that grant bigger buffs then +5 attack (and a gambit). I also think that pretty much anything is better then swords cause no range above 1
YES!!! Someone who finally understands why Caspar is Best Boy in Black Eagles!! Ironically enough Caspar was amazing in all my routes, but that's maybe because I got Lucky with him. Also Ashe is My Second Husband and married him in Silver Snow. He was adorable at first then puberty hit him good. I take him everywhere in every route. I refuse to let him die. Also he was Critical Master in my routes and was fast to dodge arrows when I made him a Wyvern Master. Marianne is beautiful to me, she became my waifu in Verdant Wind. And I also take her with me in every route. I refuse to let her die all alone and depressed.
My Random Bernadetta Rant: I really love Bernie, but I must say that her S-support with Byleth BLOWS. I was super floored with how she developed after the timeskip. I enjoyed how she was putting effort into getting over her freak-out and paranoia tendencies. I was excited to see how she would react to my proposal, but I was rather disappointed. It seemed like she reverted back into her pre-timeskip tendencies, as if her massive character arc NEVER happened. I wasn't surprised that Omni didn't mention her S-support as it could ruin her already solid reputation. But, I get it. I just thought it was necessary to bring it up. I can't wait for the ten page essay about why I'm wrong about everything.

Fire Emblem 3H is my favorite game of 2019 I enjoy the DLC and only need to finish Church route. Currently my favorite route is Golden Deer and love Claude as a lord.
I just realized Radiant Dawn Ike and Felix have the same strength growth.
And they still both have a lower strength then Azura somehow

Hey, I made Felix into a Mortal Savant and I haven't regretted it since. The class itself is meh at best, but somehow it works great for Felix (he can learn Thoron too).
Mercedes was a Holy Knight in my playthrough (main healer). Best movement for Physic skill.
Ashe was good as a Paladin as well.

Merciless Freak I get that but still I feel like they’re both hella overatted. I just feel like most people like them because they find them relatable rather then being amazing characters. Not hating on anyone who likes these two but I personally don’t think they really hold up high
Merciless Freak the thing is though many other three houses characters also have tragic childhoods. I also don’t know what you mean by lysithea moving the plot? Since three houses overly relies on supports to flesh out its characters you mostly have to rely on that for judging characters. And I’m sure they’re are some good supports for lysithea but most of them just do not leave a good impression. Her constantly talking about people treating her like a child while actively acting like a child. Or her being mean as shit to random characters like Ignatz for no fucking reason. People say “oh it reflects her condition”, no being ill doesn’t excuse your actions in any sort of way, thats not how it works. Gameplay is really the only aspect I would that she is likeable for me and even there people treat her like she’s the best unit even though characters like dimitri, edelgard, felix, sylvain exists. She’s at a high tier but not the best. I don’t know at least with other loved characters I at least understand the reasoning like claude or lorenz but in this case I don’t but hey you and many other are entitled to your opinion and I respect it
Merciless Freak I have a feeling you haven’t played maddening, where lysethia contributes very little at the beginning. Sylvain’s personaly skill along with early swift strike is pretty fucking good. Felix’s personal skill in the early game is also broken. Anyways, if you think lysithea is a perfectly developed character from start to finish than thats fine. I don’t agree with at all, I base characters on how fun they’re to be around and how deep they are as characters and their how good their character development is, and people like lysethia or bernadetta do not fit that criteria in my opinion.

In most of her supports usually c and b is where she acts rude and a is where she miraculously realizes her mistakes, thats not character development. You’re criticizing me for not understanding lysithea’s character while you’re generalizing other characters like felix sylvain or lorenz, thats called having a double standard. You’re saying people like felix because he’s an edgy male, well I would argue that the reason most people like lysithea is because she’s a young prodigy girl with a attitude, who also one shots the death knight. I love characters that are inherently flawed but lysithea fails to be just that. She feels more like a rowdy teenager, and the good character trait she does have are outweighed by the negative. And no I don’t hate lysithea, its very hard to hate any of the three houses cast because they’re all made to be likeable or charming in someways. It’s just weird to me why lysithea, Bernadetta are so popular and why people claim they’re the best characters even though if you were to do an in depth analysis you would be able to summarize bernadetta’s personality with a single sentence.

Dude Lysithea is such a good magic unit. My friend plays a lot of Golden Deer and he wouldn't keep quiet about how Lys is such a beast in magic Combat. I played it myself, and I agree.
She does amazingly in dark flier and Valkyrie, that movement is nothing to scoff at, especially in combination with thysrus

How about the Top 10 Fire Emblem Support Conversations as a Video Idea?
Berny has become my favorite character to use in fire emblem, she is always one of... if not my best character in every playthrough I’ve done. I’ve made her a mage, archer, flyer, cavalier, swordmaster, hell even an armored knight. She can do it all it feels.
It’s not hard to get her rolling into any role you need and with tons of reliable supporting spells (Thoron for 3 range and rescue for saves/movement being highlights), easy access to lots of different weapons, and a great personal skill to get nearly free +5 damage ontop of solid growths... her and seteth are ridiculous

This video makes me want to finish Blue Lions now lol. Also, I love gold sooooo.... much (I used her to weaken nemesis a LOT with her crest) Marianne was also an amazing mage for me (if you make her a dark flier then she’s nuts).
My only problem with Three houses characters is that the way they’re presented to you the player is very formulaic (I do think the characters are good on paper though). Every character, with some exceptions, has a single trope that dictates how they present themselves outside of supports (Sylvain horny, Leonie horny for Jeralt, Dimitri horny for revenge, etc). When you do have supports with characters, they essentially do a 180 that contradicts any conclusions the player would draw from how they act outside of said supports and too often characters that are motivated by conflict and trauma are motivated by conflict and trauma that stems from their parents or guardian-like figures. It gets really annoying after a while when I see Sylvain go from lover boy to secretly smart and Ferdinand from annoying noble to perceptive and kind guy.
Every one has depression + personal trait...It's not awful but the game never decides if they personal trait is a joke or an soap opera drama... Bernadette is probably the worst, 90% of the time her ptsd is a joke them you get rank A support and SURPRISE LET'S HEAR 20m OF DOMESTIC ABUSE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL TORTURE but make it funny
@@luantib Pretty broad description when people like Yuri, Balthus, Mercedes, Ralph, Lorenz and many others dont have depression as one of their personality traits. Secondly, not really most of the time when her supports are comedic its dealing with things that have nothing to do with her traumatic past, example: hubert and bernie, jeritza and bernie. On top of that, CLEARLY you werent paying attention to her b because she literally talks about it with you. Heck it was even censored soooooooo. Also thats not the only case of her discussing it: Dorothea and bernie, Yuri and bernie( big example right there), i could go on but
its almost as if people dont always show the complete side of themselves to random people unless its with people close to them.....
@@LunaAndPals but why would they open up to someone like Byleth. An emotionless character whose interactions with their students are limited to generic statements and head nods. My problem is not that they don’t open up immediately, it’s that they open up to someone they have no reason to feel comfortable with and they have no personality outside of supports aside from those associated with the single character trope they were written to fill.

On top of that, its kinda funny but if you think about it wouldnt the fact that byleth is just basially a wall be a good person to vent to?

I usually really despise the trope HIlda falls in. But they did such a great job with her character through supports and overall presentation (voice lines etc) that she's now very high on my list of favourite students. You can throw her on the battlefield wherever and she's going to obliterate.

Dorothea was the first girl I romanced and honestly, that S-support was so heartwarming and wholesome that my heart nearly skipped a beat. She really is one of the sweetest girls, and acts as sort of like a big sister to them, especially Bernadetta. Mercedes, because yeah, I'm a bit of a mama's boy, sue me, also, she reminds me of Emma Millstein from Trails of Cold Steel, who acts as the mom of Class 7.

Well, I think Constance makes Cindered Shadows worth it. She is NUTS. It is astounding how funny and NUTS she is. The others are...alright, but Constance is top tier character with top tier sense of humor. You can hear in her voice how much fun the VA is having voicing her.
I never realized that you never fight Marianne in the war phase because I started with Golden Deer and insta recruited her in the other routes. Fuuuuck her story is sad if you don't grab her.

I'm kind of sad you did not mention Raphael, as he is a bigger more clueless and food oriented version of Caspar, but he is not very deep as a character. Also, if you included teachers, what do you think of Seteth? I'm curious, as Seteth is a somewhat controversial character.
@Merciless Freak That's fair. I think seeing his motives and his drive for his younger siblings is what got me, as he clearly deeply loves her, which is harder to find in a lot of other characters.

Lysithea is 100% the best character in the game. She's sweet, caring, and driven in ways I wish I still was despite everything she's been through. Top tier character.

Well, you lost me on Ashe, i think that he shares the title of most boring character in the game with Raphael, but you won me back with Lysithea on Number 1. That's what i call good taste. I have to say, that i'm more of a Golden Deer guy, most of my favourite characters in the game are in that house, but i really like Annette and Felix too, although i think that the rest of the Blue Lions are... well.. not my cup of tea. Simply because i HATE!! HATE!!!! Faerghus to... wow. ... no end. Of course, that's not the fault of these kids, but some of them just represent what i hate. Dedue, Dimitri and Ingrid in particular, and i know that Dedue isn't from Faerghus but he'd fit perfectly there.
And i really like that you like Caspar, i think he is amazing. Easily in my top 3 among the male students

Lysithea best non-Lord unit? Idk man. Felix in warmaster progression classes can pretty much solo the game on maddening after the first few chapters. He honestly seems like a hidden Lord to me.
Despite you not placing Ferdinand or Lorenz in the top 10-understandable despite how much I like them being people with genuine good hearts beneath their pompousness and awful ability with girls-, this list is top tier. Annette best girl. I won't recruit Mercedes or Lysithea my first Silver Snow route(We played Blue Lions first time both lol, and this is my first Silver Snow), but your list just vibes so well with me. Automatic sub, like, and follow. You're very underrated. ...Hilda though is easily 2nd best girl, she's so adorable and sweet.
I personally think that lone wolf is a great ability in the early game. Later on youll get battailons that grant bigger buffs then +5 attack (and a gambit). I also think that pretty much anything is better then swords cause no range above 1

Ironically enough Caspar was amazing in all my routes, but that's maybe because I got Lucky with him.
Also Ashe is My Second Husband and married him in Silver Snow. He was adorable at first then puberty hit him good. I take him everywhere in every route. I refuse to let him die. Also he was Critical Master in my routes and was fast to dodge arrows when I made him a Wyvern Master.
Marianne is beautiful to me, she became my waifu in Verdant Wind. And I also take her with me in every route. I refuse to let her die all alone and depressed.

My Random Bernadetta Rant:
I really love Bernie, but I must say that her S-support with Byleth BLOWS.
I was super floored with how she developed after the timeskip. I enjoyed how she was putting effort into getting over her freak-out and paranoia tendencies. I was excited to see how she would react to my proposal, but I was rather disappointed. It seemed like she reverted back into her pre-timeskip tendencies, as if her massive character arc NEVER happened.
I wasn't surprised that Omni didn't mention her S-support as it could ruin her already solid reputation. But, I get it. I just thought it was necessary to bring it up.
I can't wait for the ten page essay about why I'm wrong about everything.
BV-Swifty That's actually a localisation change, in the original she actually thinks that Byleth took her to the Goddess tower to uh have sex. They changed it probably due to the age rating of the game.
