I'll be honest I love Sae's palace for the music, its theme as in set in the casino aesthetic I love that shit, and the fact that the you get to this palace after to back to back shitty Palaces i.e Futuaba's ( Day's when mom was here is still amazing but can't save this palace) and the god awful space station. After Sae I would say Yusuke's or the Art Palace cause of its flow and it's look. Here's hoping Royal changes up the palace's making them more enjoyable.

I actually like that Okumura’s palace was handled terrible because even in game everything feels forced and it feels like it was intentional the more you think about the intention of the palace

I honestly like Madarames palace more than Kamoshidas. Story-wise Kamoshidas is miles better but Madarames design-wise I prefer it and I have more fun with it.

Yes! Madarame's palace has the best design. I think futaba's too. Kamoshida might have the best plot, but because the first half is so long because of cutscenes, it's not a good at the other ones. Also I'm still salty about those berith's upon the roof.

I loved it on my first playthrough but, I think Kamoshida has the curse of being the first palace and because of that, it's the tutorial. That's what kills it. The story might be amazing but gameplay-wise it doesn't have the Persona 5 flow that the other palaces have. Well, except Okumara, god I hate that palace. If I were to make my own ranking Okumara would be at the bottom and Kamoshida would be next. The tutorials just really drag it down for me. The boss is still really fun though.

However, yes, I don't know why people don't like the Cruise Ship palace since I find it to be pretty fun to explore a cruise ship from top to bottom, from the restaurant, to the grand lobby, to the pool, etc....maybe I'm just a sucker for interior design for high class facilities like hotels and stuffs Also, this is one of the most story-heavy palaces where each mini-boss gets a cutscene that can be funny (the pool scene, and Yusuke's tattoo) or emotional (Fight with Akechi)....
The greatness of Kamoshida as a villian is further increased by the English voice actor. A couple of his other roles are Albert Wesker of Resident Evil fame and Commandant Alexei from Tales of Vesperia. Excellent actor that bring both gravitas and power to his roles, while also having a voice that can make your skin crawl

I finished futaba's palace for the deep conection I felt. Imagine , I was vibing playing persona , then they present me a traumaticed girl suffering every day because she is hearing voices that is making her want her own death , I felt THAT bad that I thought, no , I cant be vibing in the city 2 or 3 days and then change her heart , if she was real she would be suffering three days just because , I want to be eating Burgers. So I said , welp im going to change her , day 1 , so I picked up the team and I said GET IN THE FUCKING VAN WE ARE SAVING THIS GIRL NOW . Oh also she is bestgirl :V . If u say that makoto is well , fair I can understand why 😂
I still love Futaba's part the most. The emotions, backstory, the music, the best girl, and the fact that i love Egypt stuff. It's possibly my favorite RPG level hands down.
My sister is playing a play through of this game. When we first saw Shadow Madarame this is how the conversation went: Sister: "Nice Eyebrows" My dad: "Nice lipstick" Me: "Nice hairstyle"
Sadly, they can't really put Whims of Fate in since Smash is a game for kids. (That's not to say it's not meant for adults as well, but they have to keep children in mind) So lines like "does that gown that's sexy", or the lines about giving in to gambling wouldn't be allowed in the remix they'd have to make of the song. But when you take those lines out, it detracts from what the song is meant to be. It was better off not getting added at all, sadly.
Right? I'm not even that good at solving puzzles, and even I didn't struggle. Took a bit of trial and error, sure, but they weren't the roadblock or a deal breaker people keep making them out to be.

WHY THE HELL DOES EVERYONE HATE ON MORGANA! Honestly, he’s pretty good. He is very well rounded and as the healer/magic boi he was in my party almost the whole game.
He's just too squishy for me and shadows regularly gets knocked out if I dont keep him healed. Ann is less squishy and has a very high magic stat for healing in combat.

To me, Haru had the best awakening. It's such a shame she didn't get any real development after that. When Morgana started giving the speech to tell off Okumara, I wanted to yell. That was Haru's moment to become a real character, and he just stole it like the thief he is.

I haven't played the game but if I did that's my ranking list of the palaces in the original game. As for Futaba's palace, it's called The Pyramid Of Wrath because Cognitive Wakaba was powerful enough to challenge Shadow Futaba's control over the palace. Also I felt that it was a scrapped Persona 4 dungeon. Don't worry. This is all my opinion.

My favorite palace is Sae because of the theme song and just because it's a casino. Everything that happen in that palace work together so well with the music and the colorful stages that it just make me zone out sometimes. My second favorite one is Futaba's palace since the Egyptian and technological theme was beautifully fused together. The puzzle were easy and very fun since I'm interested in computer science and work with code a lot. The way how Futaba's story is told under egyptian styled painting is very creative and I feel connected to it since I couldn't live with my mother at a very young age and understand how much Futaba miss Wakaba and regret that she wasn't more understandable. My third favorite is Madarame's palace since Yusuke is my favorite character in this game and I love the Museum atmosphere that it has .

JellyBelly The Cruise Ship has a great boss, what killed it for me was the rat puzzles. You got a letter of invitation, and you’re then supposed to get through a maze with no safe room.

Kamoshidas palace is actually my most hated palace, for the simple reason that it was the place where a complete noob to Persona like me got his first game over from running out of time! And it was totally my own fault, but the game actually lies to you too! I'm still salty to this day, even if i recognize that the style, motivation and story was really good for this part... The game tells you a date that you have to steal the treasure, but it's actually a complete lie in the first palace. If you played Persona 4, you likely knew that going after the targets as soon as possible is a fine strategy, and won't really lock you out of anything important, but because i never played Persona before 5, i remembered the countless other games i played that lock sidecontent if you go forth with story missions. So i left the palace for the final day, and then did it on Merciless, meaning it took me almost 4 hours to get through it, only for Morgana to say "SYKE! You actually needed one more day than we told you, as you need a calling card first!" Sucks for me, as i not only had to sit through the "You're an idiot" cutscene for missing the deadline, i also had to replay the entire week before the palace, and the palace itself all over again... It was such a slap in the face that i shelved the game for 4 months, almost returned it, and only started a new file because the next game i was planing to play was a month away from release, so i gave P5 another shot, and it's now a game where i have two savefiles with over 400 hours on each, and a new third savefile with almost 150 hours now! As bad as Okumuras palace was, it didn't come close to me almost returning the game to the store... Also, i never understood why people are so harsh on Mementos compared to Tartarus... For a start, Mementos is much smaller, and if you want to, you can get to the end of a new segment in under 20 minutes, compared to Tartarus' taking much longer and feeling much less impactful overall if you exclude the bosses along the way. Add to that the annoying as hell tiredness mechanic of Persona 3, and you can end up with extreme frustration from things out of your control. There are also no real side missions to do in Mementos that force you to get drops from random enemies, with only the ingredients for the unlimited lockpick and the few side bosses to complete if you really want to. I don't enjoy Mementos, but it's WAAAAY better than Tartarus as far as i'm concerned
Kamoshida's palace wouldn't feel so terrible if they made the exp do much more past normal(grinding is fine, but having to do so with such low numbers for the first boss is terrible)
@@nameynamd9212 i feel it's better than persona 3 and 4 though, the grinding in those games is very annoying. they at least improved to the point where you can have a chance to beat the boss if you were just following the route to them
@@nameynamd9212 I agree. By the time I got to madarame's palace, I was lower than the average level and I tried to do some grinding in between but madarame ended up kicking my ass. He's the first boss I died to and died the most times too since I took A LOT of damage from his attacks and couldn't kill the paintings in time. The only other boss I died to was futaba's mom and the robot boss from okumura's palace since joker never survived the insta-kill moves even when I had defense up
In Okumura’s palace, there’s also the fact that Morgana literally steals one of Haru’s few chances at having a memorable moment when confronting her father about how much of a PoS he is.
I'm so happy that you put Futaba's palace to the second place because that is my personal favorite, I don't know if it's because futaba is partially relatable by closed off people like us but I absolutely Adore her with all my might.
Morgana the weakest party member? HEAL OP tho... That Salvation, That wind, That crit, Morgana is probably in the top 4 best party member you can have... Whit like Makoto, Joker and Haru (not that ann and etc. are bad they are just one trick ponny that can't adapt to the situation and SUCK hard whene they don't have adventage vs the enemies.)
Everyone is a one trick poney compare to joker tbh,the rest of the characters are support with damage potential more than anything,1 more and all out attack are just too op for a good chunk of the game. Ann is probably the most situational of the 3 girls by being less bulky but dealing more damage than almost everyone else in the end game.the only thing really making makoto good is her cure ailment skill and sometimes her defense boost is also very good,(i come from shin megami tensei 4 apo,and in this game,luster candy is the best,so id care for stat boost except for hard bosses),she got a meh element attached to her,but her weakness is also not that common,so she is okay. Morgana is better used as a out of battle healer,but he can be quite usefull against some boss and mini-boss
Yeah, Yusuke's probably the worst one. He's usable, but since he doesn't get ice boost or amp, and he doesn't get power charge and gets worse physical attacks than Ryuji, literally everyone else outdamages him. He doesn't even have any good utility, masukukaja is the worst buff by far, and if you want higher evasion you can go with Morgana's masukunda while also having healing and more damage. He's just totally outclassed by absolutely everyone else, both for damage and support. He's more usable than Koro and Ken, but he's probably one of the worst party members in 3-5, and even Ken is bother if you do bother training him.
@@nachohangover5104 Well he kinda off a one trick pony physical attaquer whit a good dodge/hit boost so he does pretty well vs enemies that are weak to physical better. But Ryuji is pretty good too.. And sadly for Yusuke he doesn't gain Charge because else he pretty solide Physical vs physical character... Even so I think he better at that job than Ryuji because Ryuji got lower Dodge/Hit, Physical damage and also doesn't get High Counter. Perso I didn't use much of any of the too I just didn't like them too much. But any way I think Yusuke also got an other adventage over Ryuji is gun got more hit for crit. Ryuji got lower amon of bullet to get lucky crit Crit being kinda really good on some enemie it can help him a bit but yah Ryuji is overall better in more situation just because he got the DEF to tank .
I loved the okumura fight. The constant weaknesses you hit and all the baton passes and you constantly kept momentum while just BLOWING through the enemies and honestly it felt like the most enagaging of the bosses. But yea the palace itself i Absolutley hated.

Okumura's maze is pretty easy if you use a "trial and error" plan. Once you flip the right switch, it's just a matter of frequently checking your map/keeping track of the alpha and omega hatches until you reach the exit.
Definitely would love to see more persona content. I've played most of 5 and watched all of Persona 3 so I'd of course watch those but If probably watch stuff on others. I generally enjoy all of your content, you focus on what you like and it makes it fun to watch. Persona is always a good watch but tbh I dont think I would ever get bored of Xenoblade vids. I think Xenoblade 2 holds its appeal very well. Its in limbo because after Torna Golden Country we ran out of that masterpiece to play. Most got that void that something awesome just ended. So seeing Xenoblade or Persona in my feed is always refreshing.
The airlock puzzle also took me 30 minutes but I didn't look up a guide so when I figured it out had the worlds proudest "Aha" moment that made it all worth it. Screw the rest of the palace though.
I really disagree with you saying that the music track from Okumaras palace is the worst one. Not really sure why so many people dislike that song. It sounds quite cool to me and it sure fit the palace perfectly.

Shido's cruise ship was by far my least favorite. I found the rat puzzle to be so tedious and boring that I almost stopped playing the game for a while. On top of that, it was one of the most colorless and drab palaces in the game aside from the space station. The music wasn't good at all, and it was just monotonous and having Shido's voice playing over it. It got annoying so fast. And to go through all that work just for a boss battle that was the most bland in the entire game, it didnt feel worth it. For what I assumed at the time was the final palace, it was extremely underwhelming. The only good part of that palace was the Akechi fight. And while that fight was my favorite moment in the entire game, it still didnt save this palace from being on the bottom for me. My personal favorite was Sae's palace (the casino). The music, build up, visuals, literally everything was gorgeous. And the puzzles and arena (where you fight alone as joker) were so much fun. Sae's boss battle was amazing, too. The mechanics they added with the roulette made the fight exciting. This palace was the only one that I wished was longer so I could play around in it more. If they had ended the game after this palace I low key wouldnt have complained. This palace was the high point of the game for me.
I'm gonna be honest palace 6 for me is overrated beyond repair. I respect your oppinion on why you didn't like shidios ship but I think ark and the boss fight are amazing

Kaneshiro turned into a disgusting fly, madarame turned into vile artwork, ect. But with shido it was just. Fighting a person. Which I can see how symbolically it could be interesting, but it was just kind of boring. My main issue with his palace is the rat puzzle and how weirdly generic the music and visuals were in his palace. I did like rivers in the desert being used in the boss fight, but I honestly feel like it was wasted on that fight. I think it would have been more fitting in fatabas boss battle against her mom. I can see why Sae's palace could be overhyped for you, but I just really liked the energy in the visuals and music. And the casino games were a fun change of pace. It's a shame that energy really didnt carry on through the rest of the game for me.

DEFINITELY agree with number one. I can’t describe how impressed I was when I saw that the intro was a palace I’d be playing through. I also didn’t know who the traitor was because I tried so hard to go on complete media blackout with anything Persona related. So everything after the palace (technically still in the palace) was equally awesome, actually even better. The writing was awesome and I thought I got the bad ending (which I knew existed but not the details) seeing the cinematic with every party member looked shocked at the news of the suicide. Then Ryuji comes up at the end with “gottem!” and I nearly threw my controller across the room out of excitement realizing that I, the player, had been had. Anyway, great list and while I might disagree with a few little details I largely agree with everything and think the order is pretty good.
I think the reason they gave shido rivers is the desert is because it was a false positive, the game leads up to changing his heart. You would not think there was another 7-14 more hours because the song feels like the games was going to end soon.
That final archangel is more frustrating and difficult than ALL of the bosses! His damn healers, having basically no weaknesses, his constant stat buffs, and the high damage he causes make him incredibly aggravating. I lost to him during my first playthrough, but even during my second he still took so much time to beat

Looking back after playing Royal, Madarame's palace is one of my favorites because I've found as the more you play, Kamoshida loses his edge but the way Yusuke initally interacts with you is still interesting regarding the question if you should save people without their permission. Shame they never revisited that plot point.
Even tho Makoto is everyones fav but the canon is actually ann cuz its the lovers arcana. And i mean that first scene where he met Ann was cute and Joker looks Ann like he fell for her
OH and yah The Casino is clearly the best donjon in Persona 5 (it just great.) Tho I think the a stupid enemie in the donjon tho I think it that one shot thing that fear you and than KO your main character... That was bullshit fight... But outside of those dump fight It was great overall.
Alright so I’m finished with Sae’s palace currently, I’ll update this when I beat the game, but here’s my ranking: 6: Okumura’s Palace. Trash Trashity Trash Trash. Except for the palace theme I like that. But the build up to the palace was horrible, with Morgana feeling useless getting offended by Ryuji and leaving, to what is probably the worst intro for a Phantom Thief (kinda), to what is the most boring, repetitive, and very, VERY annoying palace. And then Okumura just freaking dies. I mean it’s actually a nice twist in my opinion but still. 0/10 I don’t wanna do a NG+ play through anymore cause of this 5: Madarame’s Palace. I don’t know, I just didn’t like the build up that much. Not that I’m saying Yusuke is a bad character, far from it. If Ryuji wasn’t a phantom thief, Yusuke would be my favorite male thief (but he still do be best waifu lol), but I just didn’t get invested until the scene where they go into the room with all the Sayuri copies. That’s what made me like this palace. But Madarame’s just such an okay character. The museum themed palace was cool though, and the part where you walk through those different doors is my favorite part. I just didn’t think it lived up to other palaces. 4: Kaneshiro’s Palace. While introducing best girl (yeah Makoto’s my favorite character in the game), and the build up is probably my second favorite, making me feel bad for Makoto as she feels lonely and useless (yeah Morgana, suck it up. Just kidding I like Morgana), it was really good. And then the palace happened. Not saying it was bad, all of the palaces are good except for Okumura’s, but it was short (yeah, surprising because Okumura’s was just super long for me) and the whole thing with Kaneshiro just came and suddenly, blam, we gotta change his heart. I know the Kaneshiro thing came up in game earlier but it was just like “who’s this dude? *the day before you enter the palace* oh hey he’s Kaneshiro- okay we’re gonna steal the heart”. I don’t know I just didn’t like it as much 3: Kamoshida’s Palace. Now we get into the big boy territory! I liked this one a lot because of the build up. It’s too much to explain, but basically, you hate teacher, you try to stop him from abusing people, girl tries to see if her Feather Falling boots actually work, you make him pay. And the palace itself, while I found it to be amusing and very, well, weird in a way. I’m not sure how to explain, but yeah, I just thought something was lacking. Probably because it was basically the tutorial of the game, it went easy on you, but I just didn’t see a challenge, and with taking my time, I breezed through it in less than 10 hours, and mind you, this is my first Persona game, and I had basically no experience with the series. But yeah I just didn’t think of it as well as these next two 2: Sae’s Palace. Don’t attack me, DON’T ATTACK ME! The Niijima sisters are my favorite characters in the game (Makoto best girl), but let me explain. The music is fantastic, one of my favorite tracks in the game, with the others being Last Surprise and Beneath the Mask. I love the Casino theme, and the intro for the palace where the camera goes up to show that Sae’s palace is a casino. I love the theme of the palace being a casino, being a kid that went to Las Vegas for some family trips. The build up is good in my opinion. I love Akechi’s character, not because of the pancake thing, well maybe, but because of the way he talks and his interactions with the characters. And the fact that in the end of it, Atlus said “the plot twisted like Shiho’s leg” is probably the best part of the game. So why isn’t this number 1 if I haven’t said any flaws about Sae’s palace? Well because: 1: Futaba’s Palace is the best palace in the game. I have no flaws with this one either. The build up is great. The gang suspect that Sojiro is abusing someone at his house named Futaba Sakura, so you decide to explore the house when Jinkies, Jeepers, Zoinks, Ruh-Roh, and Let’s split up gang, Futaba sneaks up on you Resident Evil style or something. Sorry I haven’t played a single RE game. So you find out through Sojiro that Futaba really isn’t being abused but rather she still dwells on the past because she blames herself for her mother’s death. I forgot to mention that she goes by the name Alibaba and that she texts you about Futaba Sakura (her) needing a stealing of heart. The palace theme, while not the best, is still tolerable. The pyramid and tomb setting is amazing and fits well with the fact that Futaba says she will die inside her room. The palace, while another step considering Kaneshiro’s can be beaten in less than 45 minutes (there’s a speedrun), doesn’t lose any charm, and it stays fresh. I only have wanted to give up once, but I usually do that with pretty much any dungeon in a video game. Futaba’s awakening is my second favorite because of how dirty my mind is. Yeah... tentacles... but still Futaba is probably my second favorite character in the game. Yeah move over Sae and Kasumi (Sumire, and who I used to say was second best girl), Futaba made it into second place as best girl!... But not even coming close to Makoto!!! That’s right baby! She’s the only one that stands during her awakening!
I liked shido's most cause of literally the entire game builds this up, and the boss fight is so aesthetically awesome with Rivers in the desert playing in the background. The puzzles were also pretty fun to me. Yes. I liked the rat puzzles. Sue me
I’ve beaten the game two times and I STILL don’t know how the switch puzzle in Okumura work....I only passed it through sheer luck ! It makes no sense at all! The symbols doesn’t match the portals at all!

I'll be honest I love Sae's palace for the music, its theme as in set in the casino aesthetic I love that shit, and the fact that the you get to this palace after to back to back shitty Palaces i.e Futuaba's ( Day's when mom was here is still amazing but can't save this palace) and the god awful space station. After Sae I would say Yusuke's or the Art Palace cause of its flow and it's look. Here's hoping Royal changes up the palace's making them more enjoyable.

I loved it on my first playthrough but, I think Kamoshida has the curse of being the first palace and because of that, it's the tutorial. That's what kills it. The story might be amazing but gameplay-wise it doesn't have the Persona 5 flow that the other palaces have. Well, except Okumara, god I hate that palace. If I were to make my own ranking Okumara would be at the bottom and Kamoshida would be next. The tutorials just really drag it down for me. The boss is still really fun though.

However, yes, I don't know why people don't like the Cruise Ship palace since I find it to be pretty fun to explore a cruise ship from top to bottom, from the restaurant, to the grand lobby, to the pool, etc....maybe I'm just a sucker for interior design for high class facilities like hotels and stuffs
Also, this is one of the most story-heavy palaces where each mini-boss gets a cutscene that can be funny (the pool scene, and Yusuke's tattoo) or emotional (Fight with Akechi)....

The greatness of Kamoshida as a villian is further increased by the English voice actor. A couple of his other roles are Albert Wesker of Resident Evil fame and Commandant Alexei from Tales of Vesperia. Excellent actor that bring both gravitas and power to his roles, while also having a voice that can make your skin crawl

Futaba’s palace was my favorite and the only one I didn’t rush through because I felt a deep connection with it
The only one I rushed was Okumura. Granted I did them all in 3 days each

Imagine , I was vibing playing persona , then they present me a traumaticed girl suffering every day because she is hearing voices that is making her want her own death , I felt THAT bad that I thought, no , I cant be vibing in the city 2 or 3 days and then change her heart , if she was real she would be suffering three days just because , I want to be eating Burgers. So I said , welp im going to change her , day 1 , so I picked up the team and I said GET IN THE FUCKING VAN WE ARE SAVING THIS GIRL NOW .

Mr. Perezident Personally didn’t enjoy Futaba’s palace. Futaba’s, Okumara’s, and Mementos depths were easily my least favorite palaces
I didn't even think to look up a guide to the vent puzzle. I just beat my head against the wall for an hour until I miraculously made it through.🤣
That vent puzzle was pretty simple if you get a simple grasp on it. Just don’t overthink it.

Sadly, they can't really put Whims of Fate in since Smash is a game for kids. (That's not to say it's not meant for adults as well, but they have to keep children in mind) So lines like "does that gown that's sexy", or the lines about giving in to gambling wouldn't be allowed in the remix they'd have to make of the song. But when you take those lines out, it detracts from what the song is meant to be. It was better off not getting added at all, sadly.

WHY THE HELL DOES EVERYONE HATE ON MORGANA! Honestly, he’s pretty good. He is very well rounded and as the healer/magic boi he was in my party almost the whole game.
He's just too squishy for me and shadows regularly gets knocked out if I dont keep him healed. Ann is less squishy and has a very high magic stat for healing in combat.

To me, Haru had the best awakening. It's such a shame she didn't get any real development after that. When Morgana started giving the speech to tell off Okumara, I wanted to yell. That was Haru's moment to become a real character, and he just stole it like the thief he is.

I haven't played the game but if I did that's my ranking list of the palaces in the original game. As for Futaba's palace, it's called The Pyramid Of Wrath because Cognitive Wakaba was powerful enough to challenge Shadow Futaba's control over the palace. Also I felt that it was a scrapped Persona 4 dungeon. Don't worry. This is all my opinion.

My favorite palace is Sae because of the theme song and just because it's a casino. Everything that happen in that palace work together so well with the music and the colorful stages that it just make me zone out sometimes.
My second favorite one is Futaba's palace since the Egyptian and technological theme was beautifully fused together. The puzzle were easy and very fun since I'm interested in computer science and work with code a lot. The way how Futaba's story is told under egyptian styled painting is very creative and I feel connected to it since I couldn't live with my mother at a very young age and understand how much Futaba miss Wakaba and regret that she wasn't more understandable.
My third favorite is Madarame's palace since Yusuke is my favorite character in this game and I love the Museum atmosphere that it has .

JellyBelly The Cruise Ship has a great boss, what killed it for me was the rat puzzles. You got a letter of invitation, and you’re then supposed to get through a maze with no safe room.

Kamoshidas palace is actually my most hated palace, for the simple reason that it was the place where a complete noob to Persona like me got his first game over from running out of time! And it was totally my own fault, but the game actually lies to you too! I'm still salty to this day, even if i recognize that the style, motivation and story was really good for this part...
The game tells you a date that you have to steal the treasure, but it's actually a complete lie in the first palace. If you played Persona 4, you likely knew that going after the targets as soon as possible is a fine strategy, and won't really lock you out of anything important, but because i never played Persona before 5, i remembered the countless other games i played that lock sidecontent if you go forth with story missions. So i left the palace for the final day, and then did it on Merciless, meaning it took me almost 4 hours to get through it, only for Morgana to say "SYKE! You actually needed one more day than we told you, as you need a calling card first!"
Sucks for me, as i not only had to sit through the "You're an idiot" cutscene for missing the deadline, i also had to replay the entire week before the palace, and the palace itself all over again... It was such a slap in the face that i shelved the game for 4 months, almost returned it, and only started a new file because the next game i was planing to play was a month away from release, so i gave P5 another shot, and it's now a game where i have two savefiles with over 400 hours on each, and a new third savefile with almost 150 hours now!
As bad as Okumuras palace was, it didn't come close to me almost returning the game to the store...
Also, i never understood why people are so harsh on Mementos compared to Tartarus... For a start, Mementos is much smaller, and if you want to, you can get to the end of a new segment in under 20 minutes, compared to Tartarus' taking much longer and feeling much less impactful overall if you exclude the bosses along the way. Add to that the annoying as hell tiredness mechanic of Persona 3, and you can end up with extreme frustration from things out of your control. There are also no real side missions to do in Mementos that force you to get drops from random enemies, with only the ingredients for the unlimited lockpick and the few side bosses to complete if you really want to. I don't enjoy Mementos, but it's WAAAAY better than Tartarus as far as i'm concerned

@@nameynamd9212 I agree. By the time I got to madarame's palace, I was lower than the average level and I tried to do some grinding in between but madarame ended up kicking my ass. He's the first boss I died to and died the most times too since I took A LOT of damage from his attacks and couldn't kill the paintings in time. The only other boss I died to was futaba's mom and the robot boss from okumura's palace since joker never survived the insta-kill moves even when I had defense up
In Okumura’s palace, there’s also the fact that Morgana literally steals one of Haru’s few chances at having a memorable moment when confronting her father about how much of a PoS he is.
My favourite confidant had to be hifumi, best girl for me is either futaba or haru and best boi is yusake

Morgana the weakest party member? HEAL OP tho... That Salvation, That wind, That crit, Morgana is probably in the top 4 best party member you can have...

Everyone is a one trick poney compare to joker tbh,the rest of the characters are support with damage potential more than anything,1 more and all out attack are just too op for a good chunk of the game.
Ann is probably the most situational of the 3 girls by being less bulky but dealing more damage than almost everyone else in the end game.the only thing really making makoto good is her cure ailment skill and sometimes her defense boost is also very good,(i come from shin megami tensei 4 apo,and in this game,luster candy is the best,so id care for stat boost except for hard bosses),she got a meh element attached to her,but her weakness is also not that common,so she is okay.
Morgana is better used as a out of battle healer,but he can be quite usefull against some boss and mini-boss
Yeah, Yusuke's probably the worst one. He's usable, but since he doesn't get ice boost or amp, and he doesn't get power charge and gets worse physical attacks than Ryuji, literally everyone else outdamages him.
He doesn't even have any good utility, masukukaja is the worst buff by far, and if you want higher evasion you can go with Morgana's masukunda while also having healing and more damage.
He's just totally outclassed by absolutely everyone else, both for damage and support. He's more usable than Koro and Ken, but he's probably one of the worst party members in 3-5, and even Ken is bother if you do bother training him.

But Ryuji is pretty good too.. And sadly for Yusuke he doesn't gain Charge because else he pretty solide Physical vs physical character... Even so I think he better at that job than Ryuji because Ryuji got lower Dodge/Hit, Physical damage and also doesn't get High Counter.
Perso I didn't use much of any of the too I just didn't like them too much. But any way I think Yusuke also got an other adventage over Ryuji is gun got more hit for crit. Ryuji got lower amon of bullet to get lucky crit Crit being kinda really good on some enemie it can help him a bit but yah Ryuji is overall better in more situation just because he got the DEF to tank .

I loved the okumura fight. The constant weaknesses you hit and all the baton passes and you constantly kept momentum while just BLOWING through the enemies and honestly it felt like the most enagaging of the bosses.

*I want to make it clear that I don't hate this Palace, but even my bad taste can't deny this is the worst one. Especially the boss. Shadow Okumura is the Million Gunman of Persona 5 for me.
** I'd actually would have this take Sae place (#FutabaBestWaifu*** ) if it weren't for the fact that I had to do the whole Palace roughly 6 TIMES! I won't explain WHY I had to, but I did.

Okumura's maze is pretty easy if you use a "trial and error" plan. Once you flip the right switch, it's just a matter of frequently checking your map/keeping track of the alpha and omega hatches until you reach the exit.
Okay to be honest Haru's introduction to the phantom thieves was super funny- you said it was bad, but I died when Haru was 'beauty thief'
Definitely would love to see more persona content. I've played most of 5 and watched all of Persona 3 so I'd of course watch those but If probably watch stuff on others. Would love to see what your thoughts are on social links, exept not just top ten worst or best or whatever, I would like to see a list of all of them and where u rank them, though that's a very unrealistic thing to ask for

I generally enjoy all of your content, you focus on what you like and it makes it fun to watch. Persona is always a good watch but tbh I dont think I would ever get bored of Xenoblade vids. I think Xenoblade 2 holds its appeal very well. Its in limbo because after Torna Golden Country we ran out of that masterpiece to play. Most got that void that something awesome just ended. So seeing Xenoblade or Persona in my feed is always refreshing.

The airlock puzzle also took me 30 minutes but I didn't look up a guide so when I figured it out had the worlds proudest "Aha" moment that made it all worth it. Screw the rest of the palace though.

I really disagree with you saying that the music track from Okumaras palace is the worst one. Not really sure why so many people dislike that song. It sounds quite cool to me and it sure fit the palace perfectly.
It gets REALLLY grating after a while. Its not bad but its easily the worst compared to the others

Shido's cruise ship was by far my least favorite. I found the rat puzzle to be so tedious and boring that I almost stopped playing the game for a while. On top of that, it was one of the most colorless and drab palaces in the game aside from the space station. The music wasn't good at all, and it was just monotonous and having Shido's voice playing over it. It got annoying so fast. And to go through all that work just for a boss battle that was the most bland in the entire game, it didnt feel worth it. For what I assumed at the time was the final palace, it was extremely underwhelming. The only good part of that palace was the Akechi fight. And while that fight was my favorite moment in the entire game, it still didnt save this palace from being on the bottom for me.
My personal favorite was Sae's palace (the casino). The music, build up, visuals, literally everything was gorgeous. And the puzzles and arena (where you fight alone as joker) were so much fun. Sae's boss battle was amazing, too. The mechanics they added with the roulette made the fight exciting. This palace was the only one that I wished was longer so I could play around in it more. If they had ended the game after this palace I low key wouldnt have complained. This palace was the high point of the game for me.
I'm gonna be honest palace 6 for me is overrated beyond repair. I respect your oppinion on why you didn't like shidios ship but I think ark and the boss fight are amazing
@@nagisashingetsu4274 Honestly the boss fight was really bland in my opinion. It was just him going super saiyan low key. Kaneshiro turned into a disgusting fly, madarame turned into vile artwork, ect. But with shido it was just. Fighting a person. Which I can see how symbolically it could be interesting, but it was just kind of boring. My main issue with his palace is the rat puzzle and how weirdly generic the music and visuals were in his palace. I did like rivers in the desert being used in the boss fight, but I honestly feel like it was wasted on that fight. I think it would have been more fitting in fatabas boss battle against her mom. I can see why Sae's palace could be overhyped for you, but I just really liked the energy in the visuals and music. And the casino games were a fun change of pace. It's a shame that energy really didnt carry on through the rest of the game for me.

Again I liked the fight with shido he was challenging and a nice endurance test.

I’m not kidding, Okumura’s puzzles in part 3 were... a breeze. I literally just ran forward and on the green orange loop it was pretty sensible to me.

DEFINITELY agree with number one. I can’t describe how impressed I was when I saw that the intro was a palace I’d be playing through. I also didn’t know who the traitor was because I tried so hard to go on complete media blackout with anything Persona related. So everything after the palace (technically still in the palace) was equally awesome, actually even better. The writing was awesome and I thought I got the bad ending (which I knew existed but not the details) seeing the cinematic with every party member looked shocked at the news of the suicide. Then Ryuji comes up at the end with “gottem!” and I nearly threw my controller across the room out of excitement realizing that I, the player, had been had. Anyway, great list and while I might disagree with a few little details I largely agree with everything and think the order is pretty good.

I think the reason they gave shido rivers is the desert is because it was a false positive, the game leads up to changing his heart. You would not think there was another 7-14 more hours because the song feels like the games was going to end soon.
So in my playthrough I dated Makoto but my favorite confidant building hangouts were with Haru and Iwai
Haru & Iwai are 2 of my top 3 overall confidants, along with Yusuke.

That final archangel is more frustrating and difficult than ALL of the bosses! His damn healers, having basically no weaknesses, his constant stat buffs, and the high damage he causes make him incredibly aggravating. I lost to him during my first playthrough, but even during my second he still took so much time to beat

Persona 4 is my favorite game of all time.
Looking back after playing Royal, Madarame's palace is one of my favorites because I've found as the more you play, Kamoshida loses his edge but the way Yusuke initally interacts with you is still interesting regarding the question if you should save people without their permission. Shame they never revisited that plot point.

Alright so I’m finished with Sae’s palace currently, I’ll update this when I beat the game, but here’s my ranking:
6: Okumura’s Palace. Trash Trashity Trash Trash. Except for the palace theme I like that. But the build up to the palace was horrible, with Morgana feeling useless getting offended by Ryuji and leaving, to what is probably the worst intro for a Phantom Thief (kinda), to what is the most boring, repetitive, and very, VERY annoying palace. And then Okumura just freaking dies. I mean it’s actually a nice twist in my opinion but still. 0/10 I don’t wanna do a NG+ play through anymore cause of this
5: Madarame’s Palace. I don’t know, I just didn’t like the build up that much. Not that I’m saying Yusuke is a bad character, far from it. If Ryuji wasn’t a phantom thief, Yusuke would be my favorite male thief (but he still do be best waifu lol), but I just didn’t get invested until the scene where they go into the room with all the Sayuri copies. That’s what made me like this palace. But Madarame’s just such an okay character. The museum themed palace was cool though, and the part where you walk through those different doors is my favorite part. I just didn’t think it lived up to other palaces.
4: Kaneshiro’s Palace. While introducing best girl (yeah Makoto’s my favorite character in the game), and the build up is probably my second favorite, making me feel bad for Makoto as she feels lonely and useless (yeah Morgana, suck it up. Just kidding I like Morgana), it was really good. And then the palace happened. Not saying it was bad, all of the palaces are good except for Okumura’s, but it was short (yeah, surprising because Okumura’s was just super long for me) and the whole thing with Kaneshiro just came and suddenly, blam, we gotta change his heart. I know the Kaneshiro thing came up in game earlier but it was just like “who’s this dude? *the day before you enter the palace* oh hey he’s Kaneshiro- okay we’re gonna steal the heart”. I don’t know I just didn’t like it as much
3: Kamoshida’s Palace. Now we get into the big boy territory! I liked this one a lot because of the build up. It’s too much to explain, but basically, you hate teacher, you try to stop him from abusing people, girl tries to see if her Feather Falling boots actually work, you make him pay. And the palace itself, while I found it to be amusing and very, well, weird in a way. I’m not sure how to explain, but yeah, I just thought something was lacking. Probably because it was basically the tutorial of the game, it went easy on you, but I just didn’t see a challenge, and with taking my time, I breezed through it in less than 10 hours, and mind you, this is my first Persona game, and I had basically no experience with the series. But yeah I just didn’t think of it as well as these next two
2: Sae’s Palace. Don’t attack me, DON’T ATTACK ME! The Niijima sisters are my favorite characters in the game (Makoto best girl), but let me explain. The music is fantastic, one of my favorite tracks in the game, with the others being Last Surprise and Beneath the Mask. I love the Casino theme, and the intro for the palace where the camera goes up to show that Sae’s palace is a casino. I love the theme of the palace being a casino, being a kid that went to Las Vegas for some family trips. The build up is good in my opinion. I love Akechi’s character, not because of the pancake thing, well maybe, but because of the way he talks and his interactions with the characters. And the fact that in the end of it, Atlus said “the plot twisted like Shiho’s leg” is probably the best part of the game. So why isn’t this number 1 if I haven’t said any flaws about Sae’s palace? Well because:
1: Futaba’s Palace is the best palace in the game. I have no flaws with this one either. The build up is great. The gang suspect that Sojiro is abusing someone at his house named Futaba Sakura, so you decide to explore the house when Jinkies, Jeepers, Zoinks, Ruh-Roh, and Let’s split up gang, Futaba sneaks up on you Resident Evil style or something. Sorry I haven’t played a single RE game. So you find out through Sojiro that Futaba really isn’t being abused but rather she still dwells on the past because she blames herself for her mother’s death. I forgot to mention that she goes by the name Alibaba and that she texts you about Futaba Sakura (her) needing a stealing of heart. The palace theme, while not the best, is still tolerable. The pyramid and tomb setting is amazing and fits well with the fact that Futaba says she will die inside her room. The palace, while another step considering Kaneshiro’s can be beaten in less than 45 minutes (there’s a speedrun), doesn’t lose any charm, and it stays fresh. I only have wanted to give up once, but I usually do that with pretty much any dungeon in a video game. Futaba’s awakening is my second favorite because of how dirty my mind is. Yeah... tentacles... but still Futaba is probably my second favorite character in the game. Yeah move over Sae and Kasumi (Sumire, and who I used to say was second best girl), Futaba made it into second place as best girl!...
But not even coming close to Makoto!!! That’s right baby! She’s the only one that stands during her awakening!
I liked shido's most cause of literally the entire game builds this up, and the boss fight is so aesthetically awesome with Rivers in the desert playing in the background. The puzzles were also pretty fun to me. Yes. I liked the rat puzzles. Sue me
