Soldier of Godrick is so powerful that he felt sorry for the tarnished, not even reaching his second phase. And from what is known to date, it can go on to his 67th phase.
When you think about it, Gael fought until the end of the world killing and eating Humans to reassemble the dark soul, and he didnt even realise he succeeded because no one was strong enough to make him bleed. And you beat him. Thats impressive as hell.
Say what you will, the tarnished has at least 3-4 different marriage partners depending on the quest lines you follow. Dude got bitches in the Lands Between
True, but towards the middle and end of Elden Ring, the Tarnished fights and beats beings that are empowered by/vessels of Outer gods that embody entire concepts on a metaphysical tier of power while much much weaker beings can do feats like casually hold the stars and constellations in place. So it checks out for both physical and metaphysical power feats and statements
@@jocoolshow Good point tho. Tbh I'm not 100% sure abt who is stronger. They are prob tied in almost every aspect. I just prefer the idea of beating like, 4th dimensional beings and stuff lol
@@jocoolshowYeah, but the Tarnished is a lost (or neglected) son of Marika. The Hunter is just a normal dude from another city that travelled to Yharnam to get a cure for his sickness. And he just beat everything, huge beasts to eldritch gods while only being a human AND ascends to godhood. He did what other lost their sanity to achieve.
@@frosty4059 Tarnished aren’t descendants of Marika or anything special like that, they’re people born into the Golden Order who lost their grace. And the Tarnished starts out so weak that (no memes) a random foot soldier (Soldier of Godrick) is considered a boss, and ascends to the level of wiping out the Demigods, Elden Lords, and physical manifestations of Outer gods which I would say matches up to Great Ones pretty well
@@Dimi_Ste Its great ones as higher dimensional beings from higher planes of existence in Bloodborne vs outer gods and embodiments of concepts in Elden Ring
If we are talking lore wise hunter and Tarnished is the 2 strongest. And the fact that hunter killed gods and gods of the universes in one night is still wild asf to me
@@shakon1618The night is considered to be felt long by those involved in the hunt but as far as I’m aware, they just say this as a way to show how terrible the experience of the hunt is.
You made me remember that wolf got his arm cut off, then the next day killed a god, the guy who cut his arm (twice), his father, and the strongest warrior of the land, all in one day
Tarnished wins because Elden rings cosmology is higher than anything else. 1. Queen marika literally had eternal life - Something Lord Gwynn was desperate for. 2. Golden order permanently confined the concept of death with 0 drawbacks. True immortality Unlike dragon rot . 3. Cosmic gravity spells of tarnished & astels meteorite spells that destroyed entire civilisation. 4. You literally can't hurt Radagon until you get destined death out. 5. Dragon lord placidusax : exists beyond time.
Lmao these fucking assholes don't even know how the cosmology of each game works and how many casuals here are saying a bunch of stupid things. Objectively speaking the hunter destroys all the other souls protagonist combined, including sekiro which isn't not a souls game.
Remember the golden order was not perfect, there were loopholes like destined death which you point out in the next defense and a wolf has a blade that can deal with immortality so the tarnished is not special and strength builds are cringe in recent souls' games where poise sucks more. ~This post was made by the Dex squad.
In the end of Bloodborne you can ascend and become an eldritch god beyond the comprehension of a mortal mind. I don’t know if it get more powerful than ascending to become something so powerful and beyond regular people that we literally do not have the capability to understand what we are looking at.
Trick question, Doesn't matter how many times you kill them, These mad lads are stuck in an endless cycle of learning each other's moves, Killing each other, And have the same happen. And being way too stubborn and stupid to quit.
@@diegopimentel5137 The various gameplays I've seen and the sheer anxiousness radiating off of them with a potency that even a blind quadriplegic Donkey could see and touch says otherwise. @@پوریاصحبتزاده-ب3ب i am gonna say something surprising for you but GAMEPLAY and LORE most of the time don’t match like kratos struggling to lift a door in gameplay but throwing big rocks on cinematics and yeah canonically tarnished’s lasts fights were first try. What do you do when you defeat maliketh? Yes, you unleash the rune of death bringing back destined death to the lands between so anyone that dies would die for real and forever including tarnished
@@diegopimentel5137 It's a truly shocking concept, Except for the fact that the story of the Tarnished is mostly determined by the player (Being a Player customized Character rather than one with a pre established story and personality), I sure as heck do not see Miyazaki coming out and saying anything concrete about the Tarnished. If I'm wrong provide a source for the 1st try argument. Nonetheless if you want to bring up "True Death", Then you also have to remember that in Dark Souls the First Flame is also responsible for the concept of death and capable of creating concepts, Yet it can't kill a bearer of the Dark Sign if they do not despair. And in Bloodborne you have eldritch beings who likewise can change and erase realities being unable to kill the Hunter, Including the Moon Presence, The source of the Hunter's immortality. Wolf might be vulnerable to Destined Death.
@@پوریاصحبتزاده-ب3ب i mean, if you want to say that tarnished is above the rules of his own world it’s ok, but if he is just another tarnished, then the source of his resurrection is marika getting his soul back to his body wich is possible because of destined death being sealed, you unleashed the rune of death specifically to kill radagon, if radagon and marika are affected by destined death then tarnished is too, unless you assume tarnished is a being of superior nature even higher than a god, if not then tarnished canonically could not die against maliketh, gideon, godfrey, radagon and elden beast because it goes against the rules the game itself tells
Lore accurate tarnished and hunter are pretty crazy, but linking the fire keeps an entire world alive with your might, not saying the ashen one or any of the dark souls protags are stronger than the hunter or the tarnished but they aren’t nearly as far apart as you’d think
Idk about DS2 protag because he had fought lesser foes, but DS1 and DS3 definitely, both killed Gods or Bosses compared to Gods, so while Hunter and Tarnished are definitely top 2, the other 2 can defend themselves
@@guifire9747 “lesser foes”….I have to disagree. Burnt Ivory king held off the Chaos and The Abyss(still not as impressive as sullyvahn who harnessed both) The Crown bearing kings had lord souls The Slumbering dragon is a descendant of the Archdragons(or is one I can’t remember, but definitely related) Fume knight (nuff said, I mean his sword said he had the power to beat a fragment of manus and he harnessed part of her soul) Smelter demon is stated to have the power to defeat one bearing a lord soul and destroy his castle in one swing of their sword. And Giant Lord is comparable to prime Vendrick who held the lord souls. I think this puts DS2 Protagonist below DS1 and DS3 but still in a similar power bracket (burnt ivory king was weakened but if he was in his prime I’d but the strength DS3 then DS2 then DS1 as he did something even gwyn failed to do)
@@boxman7044 He can't be that far from them indeed, it's just that DS1 fought actual Lord Souls, Kaalaameet (who is above your average Dragon becauce even Anor Londo think twice before trying their Luck against it despite genociding the Dragon Race) and above all he beat Manus and Gyyn himself and DS3 protagonist even without counting the top tier he fough (like Aldrich, Midir, Gael... ) he beat Soul of Cinder which make him stronger than DS1's protagonist by default The Giant Lord is weird as he was really very weak, in story he was beaten by an unknown fighter (later revealed to be the protag going in the past), but protag beat the Giant Lord before fighting Zombie Vendrick which is far from his prime, they don't really seem equal based on that since Zombie Vendrick with no equipment nor sanity would break him in half Tbf Gwyn is either subborn or idiot (depend on the POV) he used his own soul to link the fire the longer he could instead of finding any solution leading to his child and knights (apart frmo Gwendolin and Smough) leaving Anor Londo to do their own thing, in that aspect even Aldia is more impressive than him because he found a way around it and seem to be truly immortal (even tho he have a monstruous body in the process) Tho that's an interesting discussion ngl, it's somewhat hard to separe gameplay to lore, biggest example being Priscilla who have Dragon ancestry and a weapon that make the gods shiver, but is actually really easy to beat (if one is cruel enough to actually attack her)
The Hunter not only defeated several eldritch cosmic gods on their first night in the job, they also became one eldritch cosmic god themselves, something hundreds of people from the Healing Church and the Byrgenwerth college were unable to do
@@iamMildlyUpsetWithMostOfYouTub Ebrietas, Amygdala, Mergo's Wet Nurse, the Orphan of Kos and Moon Presence were all True Great Ones. thats just miyazaki trying to make a boss hard its like how tarnished cant defeat 2 dlc normal npcs but can defeat MALENIA. If we talk about lore both sekiro and tarnished wipes everyone in their series
Its the hunter gameplay and lore wise tanking hits from a 9th dimensional being puts him above the rest of them even with elden ring assuming somehow elden beasts scales higher but its mostly assumptions ive seen. The hunter>>
@user-uk6tt6gy6he got teleported to a place outside of time using an item, he cant actually time travel. Hunter on the other hand, defeated an old god(which could be just as powerful as an outer god). Then absorbed its power to BECOME the old one himself so he became the god of his own universe, ripping apart the fabric of time itself. All while the tarnished used the win over elden beast just so he can sit on a throne (very lame) Frenzy flame ending makes tarnished more powerful because he just burns down the whole world
Indeed the hunter is the strongest lore wise but here are too many casuals since elden ring is their first souls game. The only being in elden ring that we could consider really powerful lore wise, elden beast, it's nothing but a simple random enemy in the world of bloodborne tho is just the facts. At best it could be a really small god but it gets obliterated by the ridiculous scale of power in the world of bloodborne, the great ones, beast and many others beings are just way too broken for all the other souls games.
@@eliasfigarzon9813 even if the hunter has super natural abilities(which he/she does) he still uses mortal weapons, anything that can be killed with a regular hammer is not that powerful, while in elden ring lorewise you need to get the very concept of death or a dragon scale from beyond time to kill a god. also, the elden ring and by extension the greater will dictates the rules of the world, if its written in the elden ring that the sky is green, then its green. The Brain of Mensis(a true great one btw) was used as a big guard dog for the School of Mensis and Radahn at his prime literally stopped the stars from moving and i don't recall any great one falling from the sky like a meteorite. im not saying the Great Ones are not powerful but they seems to have effects on certain areas(yharnam) rather then the entire world. i will admit as far as power levels go, great ones can create pocket dimensions, something i don't think anyone in elden ring has done so far.

If we count in lore, ending(s) and feats then from Strongest to Weakest: 1. The Good hunter - If we go with the 3rd ending they ascend and becomes an infant eldrich being with the only downside is that they might carry the curse that the Old Ones are trying to break. 2. The Bearer of the Curse - If we go with the 2nd ending, they refuse to lit or extinguish the first flame, instead they go on a journey accompanied by Aldia (arguably the smartest mad scientist in Dark Souls lore) with The Crown of Kings that nullifies the spreading and the downsides of Hollowficiation until they can find a cure, essentially making The Bearer immortal without the danger of losing their mind overtime due to the curse. And because there is no cure to the curse and if we go with the assumption that the The Bearer will never take off the crown, then they won't be able to die at the eventual end of the world due to them being stuck as a Hollow. Basically granting them an indefinite amount of time to get stronger throughout the world cycles. 3. The Tarnished - [Only reason I'm placing them behind the Bearer of the Curse is that they are unable to take the souls of their fallen foes.] Immortal, no chances of losing their minds, technically immune to death as well because of the rune of death. If we go with the Ranni ending we have a powerful witch on our side and both the Tarnished and Rann will be under the servitude of an Outer God. 4. The Ashen One - Immortal but the end of the cycle is inevitable at this point. It doesn't matter if they become the Lord of Hollows, it will just extend their time a little bit. The First Flame will fade, the Age of Dark and Man will come to be and after that the world will end, bringing an end to everything so the cycle of the world can start anew. 5. The Chosen Undead - In the 1st ending they sacrifice themselves to The First Flame and in the 2nd they will embrace the dark and bringing the Age of Dark and Men but after that, the world will end, bringing an end to everything so the cycle of the world can start anew. (not the cycle or rekindling The First Flame) 6. The Slayer of Demons - If we go with the 2nd ending. 7. Sekiro - A dangerous and highly skilled assassin with the least impressive feats, even if said feats are probably the 2nd coolest out of all protags.
You know i can respect that justification. It hold more merrit than the arguments the Sekiro fan boys seething in the comment section. Even though personally, if say the bear of the curse is 3rd or 4th. Its more so the bosses the bearer beats are just outclassed by power and lore that the Ashen One, The Good Hunter, and the Tarnished end up besting.
Bearer of the Curse takes the top spot for me. After reciving the blessing of the king he is immune to hollowing, basically breaking the circle that ds1-3 are going through permanently, which is a feat no one else came close to
....that's not a power feat that's an achievement....the mc of ds 1-3 also never tried to become immune to hollowing Like is being immune to hollowing granting him the power of a god? No? Then why count it
The Soul of Cinder is literally a combination of everybody that linked the first flame. The Ashen One literally beat a dude that's a combination of the Bearer of the Curse and other extremely powerful characters lmfao
@@B0x_T00l that doesn't count as the flame burn the power of those who become cinders: that's why gwyn in ds1 is so weak, his god soul was used a fuel for the first flame. the ds3 protagonist beat up a bunch grandpas way past their prime, not skillful warriors

Just in the couple hundread years between gwyn burning himself and ds1 he goes from god to underwhelming boss. What about in ds3 , so far in the future that everything turns to ash? killing Gael weilding 99% of the dark soul is a lot more impressive of an achievement. Manus also has a crazy big part of the dark soul but in my opinion gael had more since you were the only other there with him
But he can't beat a man in full plate armor without resorting to using gravity. An Radahn deadass would body wolf in a fight. He's built like a steelmill and skate boards a horse while holding back the stars. An he does it while in a vegetative state. Sorry, Wolf is cooked
this is objectively the best ranking video for character strength and it just happens to be the objectively correct ranking for quality of souls games too.
Before I watch the video, here is my guess. DS1: No, because DS3 canonically beats them. DS2: No, the bosses simply aren't as strong lorewise as those from other games, so not enough feats to prove it. DS3: A good choice, since they canonically defeat the protagonist of DS1. Elden Ring: My personal guess, since they have access to a lot more tools than in previous games, such as a broader variety of strong magic spells, mounts, and weapons. Bloodborne: Could also be the strongest based off of the bosses they fight lorewise, but I haven't personally played the game.
@@annihilator_production To be specific, it is an entity existing as the combination of EVERYBODY who has linked to the flame. Both the protagonist of Dark Souls 1, Gwyn, anybody who has linked with the first flame.

While Sekiro is immortal, the Tarnished literally has Destined Death taken from Maliketh that is capable of killing Eldritch gods like Elden Beast. Destined Death breaks through guard so if Sekiro parries all the attacks, DD will slowly eat through his life bar.

Depends on the context. Are they going against each other? Or are we talking about how they would fare in other worlds. Also lore wise and gameplay wise would be two different cases as well. Sekiro can basically fk everyone gameplay wise against any mob but probably would have trouble dealing with the other protags since they have the party mechanic themselves. Lore wise Sekiro is only a unkillable ninja where as the tarnished and hunter can kill gods and wield godly weapons.

Try swimming with 100kg armour lmao. Also check Sekiro's regular sword hit damages on bosses vs any normal soulsborne protrag damage on bosses. Sekiro also needs to deflect A LOT to be able to reposte. While all the soulsborne protragonists can deflect/parry 4-5 times for a riposte. Really shows how weak sekiro is compared to them.
Not to mention, the one time Sekiro fought a dude in proper knight armor, he couldnt kill him, so he had to throw him off a bridge. Soulsborne characters eat knight armoured dudes for breakfast.
Going off of genre conventions, the Good Hunter is unquestionably one of if not the strongest Souls protagonist, because 1: they outright defy Cosmic Horror tropes by fighting and *winning* against things which Ito and Lovecraft would claim cannot be meaningfully delayed, let alone outright killed. 2: they actually affect meaningful change by breaking *multiple* curse cycles, *without* ushering in an apocalypse. This is so far ahead of anything the Dark Souls PCs ever managed to accomplish that those losers don't even bear mentioning next to the Good Hunter, and it wouldn't be until Sekiro that another Fromsoft PC could match that level of personal significance and agency in the larger setting.
Personally I would place the Slayer of demons a place higher because depending on the ending he iether becomes the strongest demon or the strongest monumental to live ( he litterly is holding the earth and lore wise is the reason why Dark souls exists (bad ending) and Bloodborne (good ending)).
@LOLMGS that's pretty valid, at the end of the day it's a nice theory. The head canon I first thought was the world of bloodborne was made after you made the new painting in dark souls 3
Bearer of The Curse lorewise,he defeated aldia who is Omniscient,Omnipotent, and Omnipresent. Aldia linked himself to the First Flame, reversing the curse completely, hes also immortal and no one can kill him,at the end of the game he continues speaking normally after being "killed" and dosent drop any souls. hes present anywhere where there is a bonfire therefore in a way omnipresent. his source of powers are the First Flame itself, and the Flame has unlimited powers. Hes has the most knowledge than any other character in fromsoftware games, knowledge enough to completely reverse the curse for himself.
Aldia cant die under any circumstance due to being linked to the First Flame, because the First Flame is the Source of Life And Death, but not affected by it. and thats why the Flame can fade, but will return eventually in a infinite cycle.
About radahn. He locked ALL of the stars in place with his powers. Then there are things like midra who is an outer god and matyr who existed before elden beast
The Hunter will always be the strongest protagonist in my eyes. Not only did he beat the very first hunter, not only did he turn around and merc the eldritch god who HIRED HIM to hunt ANOTHER god, not only did he slay MULTIPLE gods and walk off with their blood AND their collective wisdom of the cosmos... ...he then continued to BECOME a god in the true ending of the game. He's the strongest.
The "true" ending is debatable. The devs themselves never said that is the true ending and everyone just wants to assume. Even on the web, it's between the sunrise of Yharnam or the childhood beginnings of which players assume are the true endings. It's never been called by the devs, the true ending. It makes sense in a soulsborne game to not have a happy ending and the childhood beginnings is the best case scenario so likely not the true ending. Also the hunter had the intention to escape the dream not become a God nor could they even know they could do it. You have to go out of your way for the umbilical cords besides like one you get after murgos wet nurse fight. Mind you it's not that I don't agree with your logic and that the hunter is the strongest protagonist, I just don't believe that is the true ending in bloodborne bc there is no definitive proof. It's all up to debate and interpretation.
God my ass. Those gods were fleshy earthly creatures that ascended to some space dimension. In love craftian horror outergods are above great old ones like cluthlu. He's a bug.
The ashen one is on top fs, lore wise because of beating soul of cinder, that also means he absorbed the chosen undead and EVERYONE HE BEAT, Nito, Gwyn, all of them, multiple gods, dragons as powerful of gods, and every boss ever put into the souls games
Wolf has unlimited stamina, can break a target’s poise just by blocking, all his critical hits are insta kills for anything that doesn’t have a second life at the ready, he has actual skill with a blade, and has counters to any type of weapon all the others can wield. He ain’t first but he shouldn’t be that close to last. Considering that the others need stamina to do anything and he can eat away at their stamina at will.
All that armor makes them sink like a rock so it makes sense. Wolf can actually swim and he never runs out of air. Bruh, we are comparing videogame characters. The nameless undead from all the souls games may be physically stronger but they are all just as fast as wolf but wolf can go for longer. If they try a jump attack they’ve already lost because wolf can insta kill in the air. Their heaviest attack would deflect off the umbrella shield and not even hurt wolf. He may not be the strongest but he shouldn’t have been dead last. Most of the undead’s miracles are lightning based attacks as well. Wolf can send that shit right back at them with a paralyzing effect.
Nah telling sekiro is a fraud is nah bro. In the shura ending he became a immortal demon which is destroyed whole land (and prob destroyed world). He has 2 mortal blades that can kill everything and more weapon. You need a mortal blade or stupid hax like that to kill him. His reaction speed is insane and he can manipulate fire too. İn my oppion he is in the 4-3th place.
I’d put wolf just one spot higher. Reasoning he has more agility than any of the other protagonist’s and can even mount his bosses to get closer to higher weak spots.(he can deflect fire with a tool he has like a metal umbrella, or just run around or jump over as seen in the games) His only main limitation is that he is just a human with multiple lives and a arsenal of ninjutsu but a damn skilled one. Enough said bloodborne hunter wins in drip and blunderbuss parries all protagonists.
The tarnished kills the vessel of an outer god but to be honest the hunter kills at least 2 or 3 true great ones which are equivalent to outer gods (not vessels but plain outer gods). Also at the end if you kill moon presence you even become a great one making the hunter essentially a god. And he ends up doing all that just because a hoonter must hoont
@@Rei_geDo nah he has protagonist immortality too tho. after first couple of times you die you wake up at sculptor's which means enma brings you back and you slowly ressurect
I don't consider Sekiro a Soulsborne game. I mean, yeah, it's in the genre. But its leveling, skills, and (lack of) gear give it a very different feel to me.
Hunter fought beings stronger than Demi gods he number one, not to mention I had my hunter become a literal god at the end. The hunter becomes an Eldritch god at the end of the game, the tarnished fought the creation of one, not the same
I do think Wolf wins strength wise. He is completely capable of parrying air pressure waves from the Divine Dragon and the Giant Serpent. Far as I recall, no other character is able to parry something that large. Pretty sure he'd be able to beat all characters based on skill alone, as he is by far more skilled than any other FromSoft character
Without watching the video its honestly a mix between the hunter and the tarnished cuz on one hand the hunter is casually killing cosmic horrors beyond human understanding and calling it another Wednesday and the tarnished is doing the same but with gods and demi gods
Bearer of the curse for me, he managed to break the curse and reject the cycle by essentially leaving the throne, basically going neutral. One thing i the souls series taught me is that the power of will is everything.
since lot of people have their own in the comments, here is my own list from strongest to weakest : first : the good hunter kind of obvious since they kill great ones, eldritch beings that are so powerful that gazing upon them break the mind, adding to that the fact that the moon presence is the ONLY boss in All the souls-game that requiert to be on the same level of existence before even having the chance to try and kill her ( and by the way, personal theory but I think the moon presence wanted us to kill her ) no other boss in All the souls-game insta-beat you in a cutscene like the moon presence does, not one, wich should be telling enough on the level of power displayed here second : the tarnished of course the second place can only belong to one protagonist, the tarnished killed radhann who, even deeply weakened, could hold the stars with his magic ( although one could argue that it made him that much weaker since his focus and magic went to such cosmic task instead of fighting ) killed astel the malformed star ( even if we really lowball this saying astel losed a majority of it's star power by crashing down in the land between because of radhann influence over it and its kin and thus wasn't at full power it's still a civilisation destroying foe ) tanked malenia scarlet aeonia ( which easily scale to country level as we see in game ) and resisted her goddess of rot form ( while radhann losed his sanity against a less potent concentration of scarlet rot ) fused with destined death wich make them an anti-immortal being capable of killing ( wounded ) gods because yes, as much as it's true that the tarnished killed a god, said god wasn't in it's prime being deeply wounded and at the figurative end of it's rope be it physically or even metaphysically, it's influence weakened enough that other outer god could come out to play in the land between I also does not count the tarnished at the end of the frenzied flame questline to be the tarnished but the frenzied flame itself, as ego the the first thing the flame wish to erase third : the bearer of the curse now it may be controversial but I think they are the perfect balance between power skill and knowledge of the three dark souls protagonist they may also have aldia knowledge and powet at their back, in this case it's a no brainer, the chosen undead may have more raw power considering they come from a less weakened by rot point in the timeline but I think the bearer of the curse just has enough experience and skill to win on the long run considering they will not go hollow but the chosen undead will fourth : chosen undead I think the chosen undead is the protagonist who got the more raw power out of all the three dark souls protagonist but the less skill overall compared to the other two, I thing the ashen one still would have enough chance to beat them but not reliably enough that I would call them better than the chosen undead fifth : ashen one I think it's the most debatable one depending on wich angle you take their feat, on one hand it's clear enough that souls get less and less powerfull as time goes on and the first flame get weaker, the best example of this decay being gwyn himself who go from strongest being in the verse to a shadow of it's prime, hence why I think the soul of cinder doesn't add up to the level of power people assume it has, the fact it's the amalgamation of every lord of cinder doesn't mean said lord of cinder didn't have their souls power decaying through the age like gwyn powers did although one thing certain is that the soul of cinder is practically the most skilled opponent in the verse due to the combined knowledge of all the lord of cinders second only to the ashen one who bested them, wich make the ashen one the most skilled out of the three protagonist of the trilogy on the other hand however, they also kill an archdragon ( midir ) and the wielder of the almost complete dark soul ( gael ) so their feat of strenght doesn't really add up to the era of decay they are from wich make them the trickiest to class out of all the souls-born protagonist sixth ( or seventh ) : slayer of demons kind of easy compared to the one above, they can't kill the dragon god by themselve, wich even if we highball it hard would make it on the level of seath or even kalameet and midir but without their transcendentale nature toward life and death, pointless anyway since the slayer can't kill it on their own power making them de facto weaker than the dark souls protagonist who have killed beings on that tier of strenght without needing any ancient machinery they also can't kill the old one wich nature seems to be, if not exactly on par with the outer gods and great ones, at least similar enough given it's role in the narrative as this instoppable godlike being, so they'r certainly not on the level of the tarnished let alone the good hunter adding to that the fact that most of the boss they face are gimmick boss that need to be killed and/ord hurt a certain way and you have the second ( but arguably first ) weakest souls-games protagonist seventh ( or sixth ) : one armed wolf the reason why I put wolf at last place is because he is technically the weakest of them all in raw power simply because he is supposed to be the most grounded ( at default of being the most realistic ) of all the protagonist, he is supposed to feel the most fragile, hence why the parry mechanic is as much important gameplay wise as lore wise, wolf real strenght is his skill above all else so while I think he is the most lacking in raw power and resistence ( as shown on his fight against the armored knight ) I still think he would beat the slayer of demon at least seven times out of ten out of raw skill and speed ( and ten out of ten if he become shura, the power boost isn't shown but I think it would be enough to wipe the floor with the slayer of demons ) adding to that the fact wolf can kill immortals beings because of his red blade and I think he got the edge the power gap between him and the slayer of demons not being large enought that he couldn't pull out the singular win he need I personally think he rank sixth because he only need to win once wich is not the case for the slayer of demons, but it can still be argued that he is the weakest protagonist out of all of them still
Lord of frenzied flame tarnished is the strongest character (even stronger than every boss in fromsoftware games) in the souls series because he turns into an outer god and burns his whole entire world. Don’t compare wolf to him cause he ain’t on his level💀
especially after the elden ring DLC, the tarnished is hands down the strongest, bcs u literally kill 2 gods, 7 demi gods, a mythical giant that controls fire and multiple other golems similar to it, the lord of dragons and a dragon that almost became the lords of dragons, 2 elden lords, a shadow of a god that used the literal concept of death as a weapon against you and MOST IMPORTANTLY, you kill soldier of godrick
Malenia is just a Bloodborne boss and that's why every Tarnished struggles with her. Although I gotta admit, canonically killing Maliketh on the 1st try is really impressive since according to lore if Maliketh kills you then you can't revive. It would've been essentially a save wipe. So yeah thats impressive for the Tarnished
I think there is one extra thing that can be considered, unless we're only talking raw strength. Bearer of the Curse is the only protagonist that properly managed to escape the cycle of hollowing, and find a proper prevention. It's a different type of "strength", but I think that fact could rank him above other DS protagonists (or at least above Chosen Undead).
The Tarnished has killed one god(Elden Beast) and seven demigods(Mohg, Morgott, Radahn, Malenia, Rykard, Godrick, Malenia, and Miquella) The Hunter has killed seven gods(Moon Presence, Orphan of Kos, Rom, Amygdala, Celestial Emissary, Ebrietas, and the Wet Nurse)
The dlc more so helps his case with Midra a lord of the Frenzied Flame being besically what the Tarnished become in the bad ending. Bayle, Placidusax's equal who left eachother very injured. And the biggest ones Metyr the mother of the two fingers, the three fingers and the fingercreepers being the original Elden Beast (sort of) ad quite possibly stronger since we didn't even kill it we just scare it and it just dips. And Miquella well is a literal god. The rememberance states that the Miquella we fought has already ascended to godhood. Now I don't how much of a power boost Radahn gets tho I know he's stronger just not exactly how much stronger.
Lore accurate Bloodborne Hunter did everything he did in a single night + he effectively has Malenia's health regen ability on strikes.... he no diffs the Tarnished imo

True, but towards the middle and end of Elden Ring, the Tarnished fights and beats beings that are empowered by/vessels of Outer gods that embody entire concepts on a metaphysical tier of power while much much weaker beings can do feats like casually hold the stars and constellations in place.
The f*cking Hunter killed like atleast 3 9th Dimensional beings, the Tarnished maybe 1. I think good Hunter actually got this.

@@diegopimentel5137 The various gameplays I've seen and the sheer anxiousness radiating off of them with a potency that even a blind quadriplegic Donkey could see and touch says otherwise.
The fights themselves have no canon, Just that you beat them with either using your head as head brick to be shot out of a canon and getting the wall in one, Or slow torturous submission of the wall.

@@guifire9747 “lesser foes”….I have to disagree.
Burnt Ivory king held off the Chaos and The Abyss(still not as impressive as sullyvahn who harnessed both)
The Crown bearing kings had lord souls
The Slumbering dragon is a descendant of the Archdragons(or is one I can’t remember, but definitely related)
Fume knight (nuff said, I mean his sword said he had the power to beat a fragment of manus and he harnessed part of her soul)
Smelter demon is stated to have the power to defeat one bearing a lord soul and destroy his castle in one swing of their sword.
And Giant Lord is comparable to prime Vendrick who held the lord souls.
I think this puts DS2 Protagonist below DS1 and DS3 but still in a similar power bracket (burnt ivory king was weakened but if he was in his prime I’d but the strength DS3 then DS2 then DS1 as he did something even gwyn failed to do)
@@boxman7044 He can't be that far from them indeed, it's just that DS1 fought actual Lord Souls, Kaalaameet (who is above your average Dragon becauce even Anor Londo think twice before trying their Luck against it despite genociding the Dragon Race) and above all he beat Manus and Gyyn himself and DS3 protagonist even without counting the top tier he fough (like Aldrich, Midir, Gael... ) he beat Soul of Cinder which make him stronger than DS1's protagonist by default
The Giant Lord is weird as he was really very weak, in story he was beaten by an unknown fighter (later revealed to be the protag going in the past), but protag beat the Giant Lord before fighting Zombie Vendrick which is far from his prime, they don't really seem equal based on that since Zombie Vendrick with no equipment nor sanity would break him in half
Tbf Gwyn is either subborn or idiot (depend on the POV) he used his own soul to link the fire the longer he could instead of finding any solution leading to his child and knights (apart frmo Gwendolin and Smough) leaving Anor Londo to do their own thing, in that aspect even Aldia is more impressive than him because he found a way around it and seem to be truly immortal (even tho he have a monstruous body in the process)
Tho that's an interesting discussion ngl, it's somewhat hard to separe gameplay to lore, biggest example being Priscilla who have Dragon ancestry and a weapon that make the gods shiver, but is actually really easy to beat (if one is cruel enough to actually attack her)
The Hunter not only defeated several eldritch cosmic gods on their first night in the job, they also became one eldritch cosmic god themselves, something hundreds of people from the Healing Church and the Byrgenwerth college were unable to do

Umbrella shield is the real strongest protagonist.
If we count in lore, ending(s) and feats then from Strongest to Weakest:
(not the cycle or rekindling The First Flame)

Before I watch the video, here is my guess.

DS2: No, the bosses simply aren't as strong lorewise as those from other games, so not enough feats to prove it.
DS3: A good choice, since they canonically defeat the protagonist of DS1.

Going off of genre conventions, the Good Hunter is unquestionably one of if not the strongest Souls protagonist, because
1: they outright defy Cosmic Horror tropes by fighting and *winning* against things which Ito and Lovecraft would claim cannot be meaningfully delayed, let alone outright killed.
Radahn wasn’t holding back meteors but LITERAL stars
Personally I would place the Slayer of demons a place higher because depending on the ending he iether becomes the strongest demon or the strongest monumental to live ( he litterly is holding the earth and lore wise is the reason why Dark souls exists (bad ending) and Bloodborne (good ending)).
Except it's been stated multiple times already that the different titles aren't connected. It's just a fan theory made a while back
Sadly yes but in my head it's canon
Lol, this title is soooo clickbait. You aren’t even talking about LORE.
About radahn. He locked ALL of the stars in place with his powers. Then there are things like midra who is an outer god and matyr who existed before elden beast
With the dlc out, the tarnished has also killed a god now as well
You're reasoning is so unhinged I kinda like the list.
Ash literally beat the Wolf Legion.
Bloodbourne character was killing cuthulu level outer entities so that's my guess lol
He's a bug.
@@Aryan_H1ye you’re wrong. Cry about it
The ashen one is on top fs, lore wise because of beating soul of cinder, that also means he absorbed the chosen undead and EVERYONE HE BEAT, Nito, Gwyn, all of them, multiple gods, dragons as powerful of gods, and every boss ever put into the souls games
Im just happy to see people putting the Hunter in the top 2.
Love myself some bloodborne
in defense of sekiro's wolf, bro got shinobi tools to deflect fire, magic, bro can also dispel summons like mimic tear or even phantoms
The tarnished becoming the lord of frenzied flame is op asf
Les go!!! Another vid.
Bruh you cant be serious. That's like thinking all the characters actually cant swim because they die in game
1:52 …with the fire umbrella prosthetic, my guy.
But he can't beat a random guy in full plate armor without using a ledge and gravity. 😅
1:57 "he cant"
i think he can by using the suzaku's lotus loaded umbrella
He can parry it.
I’d put wolf just one spot higher.
Reasoning he has more agility than any of the other protagonist’s and can even mount his bosses to get closer to higher weak spots.(he can deflect fire with a tool he has like a metal umbrella, or just run around or jump over as seen in the games)
His only main limitation is that he is just a human with multiple lives and a arsenal of ninjutsu but a damn skilled one.
Enough said bloodborne hunter wins in drip and blunderbuss parries all protagonists.
Lore wise, the Tarnished literally fought DEATH HIMSELF without getting hit ONCE.
It’s fun how in er u beat a transgender woman as your final boss but the first boss is Rick soldier of god
Everyone forgets that melania also achieved god hood and became a vessel for an outer god, so that’s 4 gods felled by the tarnished
Metyr is a god though and astel can become an outer god
real talk doe sekiro vins by default cause he can kill immortal dudes while being like triple immortal himself
The other ones just have to kill him three times without dying 😎
@@Rei_geDo nah he has protagonist immortality too tho. after first couple of times you die you wake up at sculptor's which means enma brings you back and you slowly ressurect
@@Виктор-ч7х1щokay but by that logic all of them are equally strong cuz they all get back up from the dead whenever they get killed
They would be able to steal the red blade
@@Solver606 naaah dude can jump on trees and buildings no way they are gonna catch him/steal from him
also he is the only one who can swim lmao
Hunter says dodge this!
It’s now In discussion that the tarnished is actually a demigod child of marika
Tarnished summons his mimic tear mid fight (fight back B, fight back!)
I don't consider Sekiro a Soulsborne game.
I mean, yeah, it's in the genre. But its leveling, skills, and (lack of) gear give it a very different feel to me.
Wolf solos by being the only character who can swim
tarnished and hunter are the strongest based on what they fight lore wise
Wolf's placing depends if you mean regular wolf or Shura Wolf. Shura flatened an entire country alone.
He forgot to mention that conically the Hunter did all that in one night he was pissed someone was messing with his sleep
Bearer of the curse for me, he managed to break the curse and reject the cycle by essentially leaving the throne, basically going neutral. One thing i the souls series taught me is that the power of will is everything.
Wolf has infinite stamina and can jump. Everyones a gangsta till you get mikiri countered
since lot of people have their own in the comments, here is my own list from strongest to weakest :
first : the good hunter
kind of obvious since they kill great ones, eldritch beings that are so powerful that gazing upon them break the mind, adding to that the fact that the moon presence is the ONLY boss in All the souls-game that requiert to be on the same level of existence before even having the chance to try and kill her ( and by the way, personal theory but I think the moon presence wanted us to kill her ) no other boss in All the souls-game
insta-beat you in a cutscene like the moon presence does, not one, wich should be telling enough on the level of power displayed here
second : the tarnished
of course the second place can only belong to one protagonist, the tarnished killed radhann who, even deeply weakened, could hold the stars with his magic ( although one could argue that it made him that much weaker since his focus and magic went to such cosmic task instead of fighting ) killed astel the malformed star ( even if we really lowball this saying astel losed a majority of it's star power by crashing down in the land between because of radhann influence over it and its kin and thus wasn't at full power it's still a civilisation destroying foe )
tanked malenia scarlet aeonia ( which easily scale to country level as we see in game ) and resisted her goddess of rot form ( while radhann losed his sanity against a less potent concentration of scarlet rot ) fused with destined death wich make them an anti-immortal being capable of killing ( wounded ) gods
because yes, as much as it's true that the tarnished killed a god, said god wasn't in it's prime being deeply wounded and at the figurative end of it's rope be it physically or even metaphysically, it's influence weakened enough that other outer god could come out to play in the land between
I also does not count the tarnished at the end of the frenzied flame questline to be the tarnished but the frenzied flame itself, as ego the the first thing the flame wish to erase
third : the bearer of the curse
now it may be controversial but I think they are the perfect balance between power skill and knowledge of the three dark souls protagonist they may also have aldia knowledge and powet at their back, in this case it's a no brainer, the chosen undead may have more raw power considering they come from a less weakened by rot point in the timeline but I think the bearer of the curse just has enough experience and skill to win on the long run considering they will not go hollow but the chosen undead will
fourth : chosen undead
I think the chosen undead is the protagonist who got the more raw power out of all the three dark souls protagonist but the less skill overall compared to the other two, I thing the ashen one still would have enough chance to beat them but not reliably enough that I would call them better than the chosen undead
fifth : ashen one
I think it's the most debatable one depending on wich angle you take their feat, on one hand it's clear enough that souls get less and less powerfull as time goes on and the first flame get weaker, the best example of this decay being gwyn himself who go from strongest being in the verse to a shadow of it's prime, hence why I think the soul of cinder doesn't add up to the level of power people assume it has, the fact it's the amalgamation of every lord of cinder doesn't mean said lord of cinder didn't have their souls power decaying through the age like gwyn powers did although one thing certain is that the soul of cinder is practically the most skilled opponent in the verse due to the combined knowledge of all the lord of cinders second only to the ashen one who bested them, wich make the ashen one the most skilled out of the three protagonist of the trilogy
on the other hand however, they also kill an archdragon ( midir ) and the wielder of the almost complete dark soul ( gael ) so their feat of strenght doesn't really add up to the era of decay they are from wich make them the trickiest to class out of all the souls-born protagonist
sixth ( or seventh ) : slayer of demons
kind of easy compared to the one above, they can't kill the dragon god by themselve, wich even if we highball it hard would make it on the level of seath or even kalameet and midir but without their transcendentale nature toward life and death, pointless anyway since the slayer can't kill it on their own power making them de facto weaker than the dark souls protagonist who have killed beings on that tier of strenght without needing any ancient machinery
they also can't kill the old one wich nature seems to be, if not exactly on par with the outer gods and great ones, at least similar enough given it's role in the narrative as this instoppable godlike being, so they'r certainly not on the level of the tarnished let alone the good hunter
adding to that the fact that most of the boss they face are gimmick boss that need to be killed and/ord hurt a certain way and you have the second ( but arguably first ) weakest souls-games protagonist
seventh ( or sixth ) : one armed wolf
the reason why I put wolf at last place is because he is technically the weakest of them all in raw power simply because he is supposed to be the most grounded ( at default of being the most realistic ) of all the protagonist, he is supposed to feel the most fragile, hence why the parry mechanic is as much important gameplay wise as lore wise, wolf real strenght is his skill above all else so while I think he is the most lacking in raw power and resistence ( as shown on his fight against the armored knight ) I still think he would beat the slayer of demon at least seven times out of ten out of raw skill and speed ( and ten out of ten if he become shura, the power boost isn't shown but I think it would be enough to wipe the floor with the slayer of demons ) adding to that the fact wolf can kill immortals beings because of his red blade and I think he got the edge the power gap between him and the slayer of demons not being large enought that he couldn't pull out the singular win he need
I personally think he rank sixth because he only need to win once wich is not the case for the slayer of demons, but it can still be argued that he is the weakest protagonist out of all of them still
Lord of frenzied flame tarnished is the strongest character (even stronger than every boss in fromsoftware games) in the souls series because he turns into an outer god and burns his whole entire world. Don’t compare wolf to him cause he ain’t on his level💀
I once saw Melenia get Mikiri counter and then water dance parryed only for that this whole thing is wrong
especially after the elden ring DLC, the tarnished is hands down the strongest, bcs u literally kill 2 gods, 7 demi gods, a mythical giant that controls fire and multiple other golems similar to it, the lord of dragons and a dragon that almost became the lords of dragons, 2 elden lords, a shadow of a god that used the literal concept of death as a weapon against you and MOST IMPORTANTLY, you kill soldier of godrick
Don't count at metyr she is literally the daughter of an outer god
Are we forgetting that ashen one literally beat the one thing keeping the undead from coming and he ended the cycle of linking the flame?
Chosen Undead maybe, Ashen One is just objectively stronger.
The Tarnished has killed one god(Elden Beast) and seven demigods(Mohg, Morgott, Radahn, Malenia, Rykard, Godrick, Malenia, and Miquella)
The Hunter has killed seven gods(Moon Presence, Orphan of Kos, Rom, Amygdala, Celestial Emissary, Ebrietas, and the Wet Nurse)
Before 1:50
I thought Sekiro is the strongest character in souls series
and this bro changed my mind by speaking facts
frenzied flame tarnished threw the world into chaos and burned everything.
A Hunter. Because he never sleeps, since..... a hunter is a hunter even in a dream!
Lore accurate Bloodborne Hunter did everything he did in a single night + he effectively has Malenia's health regen ability on strikes.... he no diffs the Tarnished imo
I like how tarnished is the strongest one and to underline this point of view, the footages only consist of him dying
The tarnished is the strongest largely because of the power they have that is completely unique to them. They can fucking jump regularly.
Sekiro can also jump
@@Qauludols oh. Didn’t know that, never got to play sekiro. Cool
@@Qauludols while that definitely gives sekiro an advantage in the jumping department, the tarnished has plate armor, or stronger equivalents. And as we all know, sekiro is powerless against plate
Guess what he deflected a whole kamakamahaaaaaa 1:49 he can do it plus he can swim chat
Wolf kills undead, literally undead immortals.... and oh wait, what are these other protagonist again?
the skeletons that re-animate in DS and Elden Ring are immortal undead what's your point?
Fall Damage is quite the contender
ashen losing to drip is crazy
Lore wise tarnished beat malekith without getting hit once. Cuz if u got hit once u were dead. That mf op
"If you're expecting actual logic and reasoning i think you clicked on the wrong Channel" instantly after that sentence i wanted to close the video but bro was lucky to say its all jokes
Sekiro fan boys probably seething over this teir list. Though i agree with you synopsis for the most part.
Ashen One: Shield
Hunter: Dodge
Sekiro: Parry
Tarnished: Mimic Tear and back stab
Slave Knight Geal is actually the most powerful non player character in the whole of dark souls because he has the power of the furtive pigmy (something gwyn feared) and also singlehandedly caused a mass extinction event, killing and eating all living creatures containing a dark soul
In their own world wolf takes it but if you let them fight eachother the tarnished wins
Not to mention that the tarnished has a magical horse like goat to ride
Toss up between the Tarnished and the Hunter
