I am genuinely happy to make this compilation for him as an aficionado of road safety adverts. I’ve been in the PIF game a while and there are some great UK ones he’s missing out on who is going to provide the therapy for him afterwards, though?
I’m personally looking forward to him reacting to the speed awareness advert from the 90s where the guy in the vauxhall cavalier crashed through a fence and takes out a little kid. That advert was fucking brutal.
First 4 years they just sold copies of the American toys, next 14 they altered the toys to have British uniforms and equipment. Since the 90's its just been spy (knock off cartoony Bond stuff) rather than military themed in Britain.
Because Action Man was literally morphed into a male version of a Barbie doll, due to the absurd amount of versions and collectible costumes it is seen as a HUGE Gay Icon in the UK. Hence the hilarious advert.

Same, I went to a school that was pretty rural, we had loads of kids in S5/6 that could drive in and drove themselves to school / had passed tests and were out driving. We used to be sat down and shown these horrific car crash PSAs in an attempt to terrify people into driving properly after two of the students a few years above me died in a pretty nasty car cash. They over took on a really windy country road at high speed, hit a bus, and rolled into a field. I know a lot of people in my year just never learned to drive at all after seeing those adds, it was pretty traumatising tbh.

Disgusting but been thinking about that one everytime a car crash advert has been shown in his previous reactions. It was a whole day for us sitting in a theatre watching different car crash adverts throughout the day. It was horrible. A few people had to leave and a close friend of mine threw up over herself then stood up to leave and fainted falling down a large flight of steps it was horrible.
The advert at 32:00 is actually from Ireland, the RSA is an Irish government agency that's become known for its seriously brutal road safety commercials. Most of the campaigns can't be shown until after 9pm in Ireland due to how graphic they are.
Man that was an epic Marathon loved it some of those ads take me back a few years that really shocking Car one in the middle was the one I was shown in school at the age of 16 and man the ad from Save the Children hit home wish they still showed that cause its affective nearly at 7k Noah keep up the awsome content and don't be afraid to react to stuff from other countries maybe I don't know :=

What you’ve not got at the end of the first three Kill Your Speed videos is the “today he got away with it” caption. It was shown over 4 consecutive nights I think for extra impact, one ad per day.
The Metrocentre isn't far from me (it's in Gateshead, I'm in Newcastle just across the Tyne river from it) that's a really old ad for it back when it had Metroland. It had an indoor rollercoaster amongst other rides. Loved it.
Apparently Metrocentre got moved South that year since there's nobody with a Geordie, Durham, Mackem or Northumbrian accent in that advert! Used to love travelling back up home and visiting the Metrocentre. Never went on the roller coaster because I was too engrossed in the arcade games!
I remember getting a pair of those clarks "magic" shoes when I was a girl. They had a key that opened a bit embedded in the heels that revealed a little picture and I thought they were so cool. lol, the 80s!
The bank used in that Halifax / Thunderbirds advert is real. I work in an office just behind there, through the alley behind the blue wooden door to the left of it seen at the start.
What got me about the Thunderbirds Halifax advert was that they got Parker's name wrong it was never Alouisious or whatever was on the cheque because his name in the series was always Nosey.
42:28 is something everyone in Britain will remember. That “crash” and picture roll as the transmitter inputs switched over from the national breakfast TV licence holder to the various ITV regional broadcasters. It always looked worse on VHS tape because of the tracking, but even live you had this idea of a man pulling a massive lever across from one side to another.

I have never forgotten that ad with the car crash. I am 25 and saw it 12 years ago. It has had the right effect.
